The episode opens on an unsettling note, with Ankush watching his men arrive outside Indranath’s house. There is something calculated in his calm. He casually tells the maid that a few guests have arrived and instructs her to let them in. When the maid innocently asks if Indranath has a meeting scheduled with them as well, Ankush smoothly lies, saying Indranath has a lot of pending work to finish before being admitted to the hospital. The maid then mentions that some guests are already inside Indranath’s room. Ankush dismisses her concern, coldly telling her that her duty is done and she can leave. The maid nods and exits, unaware she has just stepped out of a carefully laid trap.
Ankush immediately tightens control. He orders the security guard not to allow anyone else inside the house. Seeing his men stationed exactly where he wants them, Ankush smirks, clearly pleased with how perfectly everything is falling into place. He walks into Indranath’s room and drops another lie, telling him that the hospital wants him admitted today itself. Indranath is surprised and asks why the admission was postponed earlier. Ankush explains that the hospital needs to conduct several tests before the surgery. Indranath, trusting him completely, agrees.
Jhanak asks Ankush whether Indranath will be admitted to Jeevan Hospital. Ankush nods without hesitation. Jhanak mentions that her college has allowed students to visit patients from today onward, so she will be able to meet Indranath at the hospital. Ankush listens carefully, storing every word, his expression unreadable.
Banumati announces that she will accompany Indranath. Ankush assures her that he has arranged everything for her stay as well. He then subtly manipulates the situation further by telling Jhanak and Rishi to leave only after Indranath departs, warning that traffic might otherwise delay them. The way he weaponizes Jhanak’s compassion and love for Rishi is disturbing and effective, making the situation feel genuinely dangerous.
Jhanak shines as a character caught in an impossible moral dilemma. Her refusal to accept money, her fear for Rishi, and her visible heartbreak all feel painfully real. Rishi’s helpless rage adds to the tension, showing how powerlessness can break even the strongest resolve.
The parallel family tracks heighten the suspense instead of distracting from it. The anxiety around Jhanak’s disappearance, Aditi’s emotional neglect, and Arshi’s insecurity all mirror the central theme of people being used, ignored, or controlled.
Overall, this episode successfully builds a suffocating atmosphere where every choice comes with a cost. The precap hinting that Ankush also targets Parashar raises the stakes even higher.
