Jhanak 26th January 2026 Written Update: Jhanak Saves Rishi

Jhanak 26th January 2026 Written Update: Jhanak Faces Ankush’s Gun, Saves Rishi and Exposes the Truth

The episode opens with tension already hanging heavy in the air. Jhanak notices bruises on Rishi’s body and immediately grows worried, her fear written clearly on her face. As they watch breaking news together, the update confirms that Indranath is still unconscious. Instead of relief, the news sharpens the danger. Ankush coldly declares that if Indranath regains consciousness, then both Jhanak and Rishi will be killed. His words make it clear that their lives are bargaining chips in a much bigger, darker game.

At the hospital, Banumati questions the nurse about Jhanak’s whereabouts. The nurse casually replies that Jhanak has already left for home, which raises Banumati’s suspicion. She grows restless, wondering why Indranath has not regained consciousness yet when the surgery itself was not serious. Another worry strikes her when she realizes Ankush is nowhere around. The hospital staff has no answers. Banumati firmly instructs them to make Ankush call her immediately, sensing that something is terribly wrong.

Elsewhere, Jhanak is spiraling with guilt and confusion. She cannot understand why Indranath has not woken up yet when she never gave him any dangerous medicine. A painful realization hits her. This delay is Ankush’s advantage. She believes this might be the only chance for her and Rishi to escape. Summoning courage, she tells Ankush that Indranath has not regained consciousness because she completed his work and fulfilled his condition. She pleads with him to let her and Rishi go.

Ankush laughs mockingly, asking if he looks mad enough to release them. He reminds her that once freed, they would expose him without hesitation. When Jhanak asks if he plans to keep them imprisoned forever, Ankush replies chillingly that it won’t be forever, but for now, they belong to him. Jhanak, emotionally shaken, questions how he could try to kill the man who raised him. Ankush snaps and orders her to shut up, making it clear that emotional logic has no place in his world.

Meanwhile, Aditi and her parents watch the same breaking news. They notice Jhanak is missing from the hospital. Arshi insists on going to the Chatterjee house, believing this situation demands confrontation. Aditi looks exhausted, drained of the strength to deal with more drama, but Arshi reminds her that she has every right to be there. Aniruddh offers to accompany them, but Arshi refuses outright and leaves with Aditi, signaling unresolved resentment.

The police investigation intensifies. The inspector informs the DIG that they have searched every possible location except Indranath’s house. The DIG agrees, noting that Rishi’s disappearance feels like a carefully planned mystery. Since they have a search warrant, he orders the team to search Indranath’s house as well. As he pulls out his phone, Jhanak’s letter accidentally slips from his pocket. He reads it carefully and shows it to the inspector. The urgency in his expression makes it clear that time is running out. They leave immediately.

Back at the hospital, the doctor finally delivers the update everyone has been waiting for. Indranath has regained consciousness. The chief minister arrives to visit him, offering wishes for a speedy recovery. Indranath expresses gratitude, touched by the visit. After the chief minister leaves, Banumati breathes a sigh of relief, thankful that the surgery was successful. She informs Indranath that Ankush left the hospital earlier. Indranath finds this suspicious. He recalls how scared Jhanak looked earlier and insists Banumati confirm Jhanak’s location with the nurse again.

At the hideout, Jhanak and Rishi learn that Indranath has regained consciousness. Rishi feels relieved, while Jhanak admits she never wanted Indranath to die because of her. She calls him a genuinely good person, someone who did not deserve this fate. Ankush storms in and twists the narrative, declaring Indranath a killer and accusing Jhanak of supporting a criminal. He threatens punishment for her defiance.

Rishi steps in, warning Ankush not to touch Jhanak. Ankush mocks his helplessness and slaps him when Rishi challenges him to untie the ropes. Ankush cruelly asks Jhanak how it feels to watch someone she loves suffer. Jhanak begs him not to hurt Rishi, but Ankush reminds her that he had already warned her. Since she failed to complete his work properly, punishment is inevitable.

Ankush raises his gun and points it directly at Rishi. He coldly asks Rishi about his last wish. Jhanak screams and pleads, but Ankush’s man restrains her. Rishi challenges Ankush to untie him and face him properly, but Ankush declares that betrayers deserve death. A gunshot rings out. Jhanak screams Rishi’s name, believing the worst has happened.

In a shocking twist, Ankush notices the DIG and police officers surrounding the place. Rage replaces confidence. He accuses Jhanak of betraying him. The DIG orders Ankush to drop the gun immediately. Ankush refuses, claiming he alone decides his fate. Jhanak gathers strength and declares that Ankush’s game is over. Ankush screams that she ruined everything by not killing Indranath, but Jhanak firmly responds that she studied medicine to save lives, not destroy them.

The DIG demands Ankush surrender. Ankush arrogantly claims he is not afraid of death. Jhanak warns him about the consequences of his crimes. When Ankush mocks her again, Jhanak pushes his arm, causing the gun to fall. The police immediately arrest Ankush and his men. The DIG announces that Ankush’s reign of terror has ended. Even in handcuffs, Ankush shows no remorse and vows to return someday.

After the police leave with Ankush, the DIG unties Rishi and praises Jhanak’s bravery. Jhanak thanks him humbly. With danger finally over, she reassures Rishi that everything is fine now. Rishi thanks her for saving not just his life but everyone else’s as well. Injured and weak, he struggles to walk, and Jhanak supports him as they leave together.

At the Chatterjee house, emotions are mixed. Arshi confidently says that a marriage does not break so easily. Indumati agrees, while Aditi anxiously asks if Jhanak will also come. Tanushri reveals that the police are bringing both Jhanak and Rishi. Aditi comments that Jhanak will surely narrate her version, and Arshi adds that Rishi will support her. Dadabhai insists the police will reveal the truth.

When Rishi and Jhanak arrive with the inspector, everyone notices Rishi’s injuries. Tanushri rushes to ask about his condition. The room falls silent, heavy with anticipation, unresolved questions, and emotional shock.
