Jhanak 5th February 2026 Written Update: Rishi Signs Divorce, Heart Refuses to Let Go

The episode of Jhanak opens on a quiet but emotionally heavy note. Rishi is lost in thought, admitting to himself that he never expected this situation to affect him so deeply. There is relief mixed with guilt. Knowing that Aditi has someone in her life makes him feel lighter, almost as if a burden has been lifted off his chest. Yet that calm feels fragile.

Jhanak notices Rishi standing outside her room, clearly disturbed. She calls him inside and gently asks if he is okay. Sensing something deeper, she points out that he looks troubled. In an impulsive moment, Rishi holds her hand and asks her to never leave him, no matter what happens. Jhanak promises to stand by him always but urges him to leave before anyone notices them together. Rishi brushes aside her fear, saying he no longer cares because he has already signed the divorce papers and is almost free.

Jhanak brings him back to reality. She reminds him that society will blame her, not him, because she is a woman. She also finds it hard to believe that Aditi agreed to a divorce so easily. Rishi reveals the reason. He saw Aditi with another man and believes she has moved on. Instead of anger, he feels relieved. If Aditi is happy, Jhanak does not need to carry guilt on her shoulders.

Jhanak, however, reads between the lines. She tells Rishi that he is clearly affected by Aditi’s decision. Rishi dismisses it as exhaustion, but Jhanak insists that it is his heart that is tired. She openly says that seeing Aditi with another man broke him. Rishi asks her not to overthink, yet his silence confirms her words. Jhanak points out that he still cares for Aditi. Rishi shifts the conversation, saying they should focus on making their relationship win. Jhanak reassures him that she is with him, and together they head downstairs.

The atmosphere turns tense as Abhimanyu notices Rishi’s unhappy face. He questions why Rishi looks disturbed when this is exactly what he wanted. Rishi avoids giving a straight answer, saying he just wants his parents’ blessings. Tanushri bluntly tells him that he will never get them. Abhimanyu wonders if guilt is eating him up, while Neelu starts taunting him openly. Dadabhai intervenes, asking them to stop, but Indumati accuses him of always defending Rishi.

Rishi drops another bomb by saying Aditi has moved on. Abhimanyu immediately shuts him down, reminding him that the divorce was Rishi’s idea, so he has no right to blame Aditi. Rishi makes a careless remark about Aditi being rich and having options, which only worsens the situation. Neelu refuses to believe him and accuses him of lying to glorify Jhanak. She even calls Jhanak a devil, pushing Jhanak to finally speak up. Jhanak pleads with them not to blame her and asks Rishi to reconsider divorcing Aditi and at least talk to her once.

Rishi refuses. He insists that Aditi has chosen someone else and declares that Jhanak is his present and future. Jhanak then reveals her own fear. She wants to go to Simulboni after completing her medical studies and cannot tolerate being constantly taunted in this house. Indumati mocks her, calling it drama, while Putul questions why they cannot accept Jhanak if Aditi has truly moved on. The family remains divided. Dadabhai supports Rishi’s right to choose his happiness, while Tanushri calls him a coward for running away instead of facing reality. Others try to calm the chaos, but the cracks are clearly permanent.

On the other side of the story, Aniruddh brings a priest home to discuss Aditi’s marriage. Everyone passes responsibility for talking to the priest until he himself announces that he will fix a date after checking Aditi’s horoscope. Soon, an auspicious date is decided. Bablu agrees but looks visibly sad. Anjana feels Aditi should wait since the divorce is not finalized yet, but Arshi argues that Aditi has waited long enough and deserves happiness. Aniruddh adds that Koushik’s family matches their status, so there is nothing to worry about.

Aditi arrives and listens quietly as the priest informs her of the wedding date. After he leaves, Bablu questions her haste, while Anjana worries about her broken heart. Aniruddh firmly states that Rishi never gave Aditi happiness and he cannot see her suffer anymore. Aditi reveals that Koushik is coming and admits that she likes his qualities. Despite Bablu doubting Koushik’s maturity, Arshi sarcastically reminds him of how mature Rishi turned out to be.

Aditi finally opens up about her pain. She says she was insulted and hurt deeply and makes it clear that she will never forgive Jhanak, even if Jhanak is Aniruddh’s youngest daughter. Aniruddh asks her to let go of bitterness. He believes Jhanak and Rishi are meant to be together and hopes that Aditi finds happiness with Koushik while Jhanak finds it with Rishi. The episode ends on this emotionally loaded note, with no one truly at peace.

Precap: Jhanak confronts Rishi about his confusion, pointing out how he returned from family court as if he lost something precious. When Rishi admits his sadness despite the mutual divorce, Jhanak asks him to accept that he still loves Aditi. She finally admits that she needs time to trust him completely.

Review

This episode beautifully captures emotional confusion without sugarcoating it. Rishi stands exposed as a man torn between choice and consequence. Jhanak’s maturity shines, especially when she questions his unresolved feelings instead of blindly clinging to him. Aditi’s track feels powerful and justified, making her decision to move on look like strength rather than rebound. The family drama is loud, messy, and realistic, adding layers to every conflict. What works most is the honesty of emotions, even when characters refuse to admit the truth.
