Mangal Lakshmi 16th February 2026 Written Update: Jairaj Turns Ishana Against Mangal

Mangal Lakshmi 16th February 2026 Written Update: Jairaj Turns Ishana Against Mangal. The episode opens with tension rising at the police station as Ishana steps out, thinking she is finally free to leave. Just as she is about to get into an auto, a constable stops her and informs her that new proof has surfaced confirming her role in the accident. Before she can react, she is taken back inside. Ishana’s face fills with panic. At that very moment, she sees Mangal and Shubhi driving away in a car. She shouts for help, calling out to them desperately, but her voice never reaches them. The painful irony of the moment deepens her hurt, as she feels abandoned, even though the truth is far more complicated.

On the way home, Mangal tries to comfort Shubhi. She gently tells her not to take Jairaj’s harsh words seriously and reassures her that she has never considered Shubhi an outsider. To Mangal, Shubhi is her own child. Shubhi listens quietly and admits she knows Jairaj only wanted to hurt Mangal with his words. Still, the silence between them grows heavy when Mangal asks the question that has been troubling her—why did Shubhi take Ishana’s blame and hide the truth? Shubhi struggles to answer, her guilt evident, but before she can explain, the scene shifts back to the police station.

Ishana pleads with the inspector to release her, but before matters escalate, Jairaj intervenes. He stops the police from putting her in the lockup and produces bail papers. The inspector questions his sudden change of stance, reminding him that he himself had earlier presented evidence against Ishana. Jairaj calmly replies that he is a responsible citizen and does not wish to ruin a young girl’s life. His words sound noble on the surface, but his tone carries an undertone of calculation. Ishana, unaware of his deeper motives, feels grateful and thanks him.

When Ishana asks why he helped her, Jairaj reveals his true intention—not kindness, but revenge. He says he wants to teach Mangal a lesson. According to him, Mangal has supported an outsider, Shubhi, while neglecting her own daughter. He tells Ishana he has nothing against her personally and encourages her to go home. His words begin to plant seeds of doubt and resentment in Ishana’s heart.

Back at home, Mangal calls out for Ishana the moment she enters, only to learn from Kusum that Ishana has not returned yet. Kusum grows anxious, asking why Mangal did not bring her home and how Shubhi was released instead. Mangal explains that Ishana had left earlier and that the police obtained proof that cleared Shubhi. She adds that she plans to meet a lawyer and resolve Ishana’s case soon. Gayatri watches silently but remarks that Mangal seems to care more for Shubhi than necessary, a comment that quietly fuels Kusum’s worries.

Shubhi tries calling Ishana’s friends, hoping to find her, but no one knows where she is. The uncertainty makes everyone restless. Kusum’s concern grows stronger, but Mangal remains hopeful, assuring her that Ishana will return soon.

Just then, the doorbell rings. Mangal opens the door and is stunned to see Jairaj standing there. Her reaction is immediate and sharp. She orders him to stay outside and warns that she will call the police if he tries to enter. Jairaj calmly says he has no intention of entering without permission and turns as if to leave. At that moment, Ishana arrives.

Jairaj cleverly turns the situation in his favor. He tells Ishana they should go back to the jail since her mother does not even want to allow the person who helped her inside the house. Mangal tries to hug Ishana, but Ishana stops her, her expression cold and distant. Jairaj then declares that he secured Ishana’s bail, unlike Mangal, who, according to him, left her daughter in jail. He accuses Mangal of valuing her business more than her children.

Kusum, moved by the situation and unaware of Jairaj’s manipulations, thanks him sincerely and invites him inside the house. Jairaj accepts with a faint smirk, knowing his plan is working.

Inside, Kusum asks Ishana if she is fine. Ishana responds that Jairaj saved her and subtly repeats the idea that Mangal cares more about Shubhi than about her. Mangal tries to explain that Ishana had left the station before them, but Ishana refuses to listen. She insists she was still there when she was arrested and that Mangal drove away without even hearing her cries. The misunderstanding deepens into anger. When Kusum defends Mangal, Ishana loses her temper and warns Mangal to stay away from her, threatening to leave the house if she does not. She storms off to her room, leaving Mangal shattered.

Kusum again thanks Jairaj, trying to justify Ishana’s anger as youthful stubbornness. Jairaj uses the moment to make another cutting remark, saying that children inherit their behavior from their parents and implying that Mangal’s business has distracted her from giving proper upbringing to her children. The insult is clear, but Mangal controls her anger and thanks him formally for helping Ishana, hoping he will take the hint and leave.

Jairaj, however, has no intention of leaving so soon. Casually, he says it is tea time and asks if there is a tea vendor nearby. Kusum immediately insists he stay for tea at their home. Gayatri adds fuel to the situation by telling Mangal to prepare the tea, praising her as the best at making it. Jairaj agrees with a satisfied smile, while Mangal silently suppresses her frustration, forced to serve the very man who is turning her daughter against her.

The episode ends on this tense note, with emotional wounds deepening and Jairaj’s manipulation beginning to show its effect on Ishana.

Precap: Mangal firmly warns Jairaj to stay away from her children, hinting that she may soon confront him openly.

Mangal Lakshmi 16th February 2026 Written Update Review:
This episode builds strong emotional drama by focusing on misunderstandings and psychological manipulation rather than loud confrontations. Jairaj emerges as a calculating antagonist, using sympathy as a weapon to create distance between a mother and her daughter. Ishana’s anger feels believable, shaped by confusion and emotional vulnerability. Mangal’s pain is portrayed with restraint, making her helplessness more impactful. The pacing remains steady, and the tension continues to grow, promising bigger confrontations ahead.
