Mangal Lakshmi 25th February 2026 Written Update: Ishana Rejects Marriage Proposal, Gayatri Hunts Adit’s Truth as Mangal’s Secret Trembles

Today’s episode revolves around humiliation, rebellion, and the slow unraveling of a truth Mangal has been desperately hiding. Ishana’s marriage proposal turns into chaos, while Gayatri’s curiosity about Adit begins to dangerously expose buried secrets.

The episode opens with the groom’s family demanding Mangal call her husband so they can discuss Ishana’s marriage. Kusum quickly attempts to manage the situation, telling them Adit has stepped out for work. Mangal gently intervenes and requests Kusum to let her speak, sensing the conversation is heading in the wrong direction.

Mangal calmly explains that Adit is not present and that the real issue is Ishana’s unwillingness to proceed with the marriage. Ishana overhears this from a distance, her emotions already fragile after the earlier confrontation. The groom’s family reacts sharply, questioning why they were invited if Ishana has no interest in marriage. Their remarks turn personal as they label Ishana arrogant and ill-mannered, even predicting that she may never find a suitable match.

The criticism escalates further when they question Adit’s absence and whether he truly cares for his daughter. Gayatri steps in defensively, insisting that Adit loves Ishana and reminding them that the property belongs to him. The groom’s family dismisses this argument, stating that financial support does not equal emotional care. Their harsh statement that a woman cannot handle everything alone cuts deep into Mangal’s silent sacrifices.

Shubhi cannot tolerate the disrespect and strongly defends Mangal. She highlights that Mangal is the one managing the household, raising the children, and even running the business. Mangal adds softly that she does everything she can for her family. Instead of appreciating her strength, the groom’s family continues insulting both Ishana and the Saxena family, pushing Ishana beyond her limit.

Unable to bear the humiliation, Ishana storms in and firmly rejects the proposal. Her voice trembles with anger as she asks the groom’s family to leave. They exit with bitter remarks, leaving behind an atmosphere heavy with embarrassment and hurt.

Once they are gone, Gayatri directs her frustration toward Shubhi, blaming her for the fiasco. Mangal intervenes and reminds Gayatri that the proposal itself was arranged without Ishana’s consent. Kusum questions whether every decision now requires Ishana’s approval, leaving Mangal silent. The silence reflects her inner conflict between respecting elders and protecting her daughter’s autonomy.

Later, Kusum confides in Gayatri about feeling humiliated, as this was Ishana’s first marriage proposal. Gayatri, however, focuses on a different concern. She insists they must locate Adit, believing his presence is essential for Ishana’s future wedding rituals. Kusum expresses helplessness, pointing out that they have no information about Adit’s whereabouts. Gayatri recalls that Adit sends her a bouquet every year on her birthday and suggests tracing him through the florist. Kusum remembers the greeting card that accompanies the bouquet, unknowingly providing Gayatri with a lead.

Meanwhile, Mangal comforts Shubhi, who feels guilty for speaking up earlier. Their quiet moment reflects the emotional bond between them. At the same time, Gayatri enters Mangal’s room under the pretext of searching for a measuring tape. Her curiosity leads her to the greeting card, which she secretly pockets. Shubhi notices her suspicious behavior but chooses silence. Gayatri injures her finger while closing the drawer, yet dismisses it casually before leaving, carrying the hidden clue with her.

The narrative shifts to Ishana, who has left home in frustration. Lost in thought, she wanders aimlessly and accidentally drops her phone. Aarav finds it and insists on cheering her up. His playful approach contrasts with Ishana’s emotional turmoil as he takes her to a gol gappa stall, hoping to lighten her mood. The simple gesture works momentarily, reminding Ishana of normalcy amidst chaos.

Mangal soon spots Ishana and Aarav from her car. As Ishana stumbles, a stranger instinctively catches her to prevent a fall. Aarav misreads the situation and angrily confronts the man, raising his hand to hit him. Mangal intervenes just in time, clarifying that the man only helped Ishana. The misunderstanding creates tension between Mangal and Aarav. Ishana, still emotionally charged, sides with Aarav and argues with her mother. When Mangal insists she return home, Ishana initially refuses, but Aarav gently persuades her. Ishana finally agrees and leaves with Mangal, though the emotional distance between them remains visible.

Elsewhere, Gayatri and Kusum visit the florist in search of information about Adit. They explain that their son sends flowers every January 8th and request access to the register. The florist refuses, maintaining confidentiality. Gayatri’s desperation pushes her to attempt forcefully checking the register, but he stops her. Jairaj witnesses the confrontation quietly as Kusum and Gayatri leave disappointed.

Soon after, the florist calls Mangal to inform her about Kusum and Gayatri’s visit. He reassures her that he revealed nothing. Mangal expresses relief yet remains anxious, aware that the truth cannot stay hidden forever. Jairaj overhears the conversation and confronts the florist, threatening him to reveal what Mangal is concealing about Adit. The moment signals that the secret is dangerously close to exposure.

The episode ends with Mangal silently worrying about Kusum’s emotional state. She fears that discovering the truth about Adit may shatter Kusum’s hope and destabilize the family further. Her burden grows heavier as lies meant to protect slowly turn into traps.

The precap intensifies the tension as the police inform Mangal that Adit’s car has been found after falling off a cliff. Gayatri calls out to Kusum, hinting that the truth may soon come crashing into their lives.
