Jhanak 26th February 2026 Written Update: Rishi Forgets Jhanak and Calls Aditi His Love, Jhanak’s Heartbreak Deepens

The episode dives straight into an emotional storm as Jhanak struggles to accept a truth she never imagined — Rishi has forgotten her completely. Trapped in the kidnappers’ hideout, Jhanak tries to make sense of his behavior while silently breaking inside.

Jhanak tells Rishi that the kidnappers have left and he doesn’t need to pretend anymore. She gently questions why he is behaving like a stranger when they were just married. Her words confuse Rishi, who coldly asks her not to trouble him. Jhanak feels the sting of his rejection but keeps trying. She reminds him of his parents, Dadabhai, Putul, and Simulboni, hoping familiar names will trigger his memory. Instead, Rishi asks the most painful question — who is she?

Holding back tears, Jhanak tells him she is his wife and pleads with him to remember their wedding. She recalls their marriage day, how he filled vermilion in her hair, and how he was kidnapped right after. Jhanak shows him the sindoor as proof of their bond, hoping love will win over memory loss. But Rishi refuses to believe her. He pushes away the food she offers and dismisses her words as nonsense. The rejection shatters Jhanak, yet she refuses to give up. She begs him to take her name just once, convinced that love cannot disappear so easily.

Rishi remains distant and silent, his heart still anchored to Aditi. Jhanak breaks down recalling their wedding and the struggles that led them together. Despite her pain, she decides to keep her promise and take Rishi to Aditi, believing that his happiness matters more than her heartbreak. When Rishi says he loves Aditi deeply and wants to meet her, Jhanak swallows her pain and convinces him to eat first. She feeds him with trembling hands, her tears hidden behind forced strength as the emotional moment plays out.

Meanwhile, the drama intensifies at Rishi’s house. Aditi arrives with Aniruddh, determined to support the family. Dadabhai questions her presence, reminding her she had moved on. Putul highlights the irony — Aditi loves Rishi, yet he left her because of that love. She also points out that while everyone doubts Jhanak, the latter went alone to find Rishi. Aditi, however, blames Jhanak, claiming her actions might worsen the situation and even endanger Rishi’s life.

Back in the hideout, Jhanak silently wrestles with her fate. Rishi asks her to untie him and take him to Aditi. His innocent question about whether she is happy with his marriage to Aditi pierces her heart. Jhanak realizes she has lost her place in his life, even though she once lived in his heart. Rishi goes further and casually invites her to his future wedding with Aditi, unaware of the devastation his words cause. Jhanak stands there shattered, feeling invisible in the man’s life she fought so hard to be part of.

The emotional weight intensifies when Rishi suddenly faints. Panic grips Jhanak as she tries to wake him, splashing water on his face and hugging him in fear. But when he regains consciousness, he pushes her away again, scolding her for touching him. Jhanak pleads for calm while Rishi insists he wants to go to Aditi. Alone and helpless, Jhanak feels destiny is playing a cruel game with her love.

At the house, tensions between Aditi and the family continue. Sanjhbati defends Jhanak, saying they cannot dismiss her courage when she risked her life for Rishi. Aditi, however, remains firm that Jhanak’s actions are reckless. She announces her decision to stay in Rishi’s house, believing she still holds a place in his life despite her engagement elsewhere. Sanjhbati challenges her right to stay, pointing out that even without divorce papers, their relationship is over. Aditi counters that divorce can be reversed and she will stay with the rights she once had.

Family members remain divided. Tanushri and Indumati warmly accept Aditi, calling her their real daughter-in-law. Dritimaan, however, believes Rishi will never allow anyone to come between him and Jhanak once he returns. Dadabhai suggests postponing any decision until Rishi comes back, but emotional undercurrents reveal growing conflicts. Aniruddh quietly admits he cannot claim Rishi will return because of Jhanak, showing his lingering bias toward Aditi.

The episode ends on a painful note as Jhanak stands alone in the hideout, determined yet broken. Her love remains unwavering even as Rishi’s memories erase her existence.

Precap Insight
