Mangal Lakshmi 16th March 2026 Written Update: Aarav’s Cruel Game Begins
Today’s episode begins with Adit making a shocking statement in front of everyone. He tells Mangal that he is happy their daughter Ishana will live with the person she truly loves. Unlike Ishana, he says his own life was different because he was forced to spend it with someone he never chose — Mangal. His words sting, but Mangal silently absorbs the insult without reacting.
Kusum immediately questions Adit for speaking this way. She reminds him that he clearly does not understand the responsibility of a mother. According to her, he has already failed in his duty as a father.
Adit tries to justify himself by asking why Ishana is angry with Mangal. Kusum reveals the painful truth. Ishana believes that Mangal was the reason Adit never returned home earlier. She even thought her father was dead because of Mangal’s actions. Kusum bluntly tells Adit that he is the one responsible for this misunderstanding.
Instead of arguing further, Adit decides to move on from the issue. He says Ishana loves Aarav and they should allow her to live happily with him. He openly declares his support for Ishana and Aarav’s relationship before walking away.
Kusum then tells Mangal that Ishana has chosen her own battle and they must support her through it.
However, Mangal cannot stop worrying. She points out that Ishana and Aarav got married without informing Aarav’s family. If Aarav’s parents do not accept the marriage, Ishana might suffer. Mangal also realizes that they know almost nothing about Aarav’s family background.
Kusum tries to calm her down. She suggests calling Ishana and assuring her that the family only wants her happiness.
Just as Mangal is about to call Ishana, the sound of dhol suddenly fills the air.
Both Mangal and Kusum step outside and see a surprising scene. Adit is standing there playing the dhol along with others while welcoming Ishana and Aarav.
Mangal is shocked to see Ishana standing there.
Adit cheerfully announces that this is Ishana’s house and she can come whenever she wants. He explains that Aarav was planning to take Ishana to his bachelor room because he was unsure how his parents would react to their sudden marriage. That is why Adit brought them home.
Aarav also says that if his parents do not accept the marriage, he will take Ishana to live in his room.
Kusum warmly tells them that they are happy about the marriage and asks Mangal to perform Ishana and Aarav’s grihapravesh.
Although she still feels uneasy, Mangal performs the welcoming ritual and brings the newly married couple inside.
But the happiness quickly fades.
As Aarav holds Ishana’s hand while entering, he grips it harshly. He remembers the moment when Mangal slapped him earlier and seems to act out his anger. His tight grip causes Ishana’s bangles to break, injuring her hand.
Mangal immediately notices the injury and angrily questions Aarav for hurting Ishana.
Aarav quickly pretends that it was an accident. He claims he did not realize that the bangles would break.
Despite his explanation, Mangal cannot ignore the feeling that Aarav’s actions were deliberate.
Later, Ishana prepares tea for everyone and places it on the table.
Aarav questions her for not serving it directly to the elders. He casually says it is fine and offers to serve the tea himself.
As he begins serving, he suddenly tilts the cup toward Ishana. The hot tea is about to spill on her, but Mangal quickly pulls Ishana aside and takes the burn on her own hand.
Mangal immediately confronts Aarav and asks what he was trying to do.
Aarav once again claims it was a mistake and accuses Mangal of overreacting.
To Mangal’s disappointment, Ishana supports Aarav instead of questioning him.
Mangal insists that she clearly saw Aarav trying to harm Ishana intentionally. Aarav plays the victim again and says Mangal does not want him to stay in the house.
He dramatically declares that he will leave immediately.
Hearing this, Ishana says she will leave with him because they are husband and wife now.
Mangal asks Ishana to stop, but Ishana refuses. She says she will stay in the house only if Aarav stays there too.
Realizing the situation is getting worse, Mangal reluctantly asks Aarav to stay.
Aarav apologizes sarcastically and calls Mangal “Ma’am,” but Ishana stops him and says he does not need to apologize to anyone. She then takes Aarav to their room.
Meanwhile, Adit silently reflects on the situation. He thinks he has already lost one daughter and cannot afford to lose Ishana too.
He believes Ishana truly accepted him as her father, and her happiness matters the most. Adit even thinks that if Mangal interferes in Ishana’s happiness again, he will separate from Mangal permanently.
Later that night, Ishana asks Aarav to go to sleep. Aarav notices Mangal standing outside their room.
He complains that Mangal keeps accusing him without reason and claims he cannot stay peacefully in that house.
Ishana suggests shifting to his flat if he feels uncomfortable.
Aarav replies that his flat is too small for her to live comfortably. While speaking, he suddenly pulls Ishana forcefully, causing her to fall.
Mangal rushes inside and raises her hand to slap Aarav again for hurting Ishana.
But once again, Ishana defends Aarav and says it was just a mistake.
Mangal insists that she saw Aarav intentionally harming her daughter.
Aarav then creates a dramatic scene. He threatens to hurt himself to prove his innocence and bangs his hand against the wall.
Ishana quickly stops him.
She then turns toward Mangal and warns her to leave the room immediately. If she does not leave, Ishana threatens to stop talking to her forever.
Heartbroken, Mangal quietly walks away.
Later, Aarav approaches Mangal privately and mocks her.
Mangal demands to know why he is doing this.
Aarav reveals the truth without hesitation. He says Mangal hurt his ego by slapping him earlier. Now he is ready to go to any extent to take revenge.
He even warns that in the future Ishana might end up slapping her own mother because of him.
Mangal desperately asks him why he is hurting Ishana when his real problem is with her.
Aarav calmly reveals his real motive.
If Mangal gives him fifty lakhs, he will divorce Ishana and leave her life forever.
Mangal stands frozen in shock after hearing his demand.
Precap
Aarav frames Mangal in front of the family. Adit angrily questions Mangal about offering Aarav fifty lakhs to divorce Ishana. Mangal confidently tells Aarav that within ten days she will expose his true face to Ishana, and Ishana herself will throw him out of her life.
