Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th March 2026 Written Update: Abhira–Armaan’s Ritual Turns Real as Myra Breaks Down

Today’s episode begins with Manisha taking control of the wedding chaos. She asks Abhira and Armaan to quickly change their outfits, proudly mentioning that she arranged designer clothes at the last minute. She wants everything to look flawless with guests already arriving.

Abhira immediately notices that her outfit is matching with Armaan’s and refuses to wear it. The idea clearly irritates her. Armaan is equally uninterested and says he is not excited about twinning either. What could have been a small disagreement quickly turns into a full argument.

Abhira insists that Armaan should change into something else, even suggesting he wear an old outfit instead. Armaan refuses, saying he will wear what Manisha arranged. Their argument stretches until Manisha interrupts them and reminds them that guests have already started arriving. She tells them to get ready first and fight later.

Meanwhile, the Poddar house is filled with celebration energy as Aryan and Disha’s engagement preparations are in full swing. Manisha proudly asks Damyanti to notice how beautiful Disha looks, subtly taking credit for her styling. Damyanti responds by praising Aryan and says he looks even more handsome. Aryan happily agrees, enjoying the attention.

Soon, Abhira is asked to begin the rituals. She steps forward but feels uneasy inside. There is a visible hesitation as if she knows she is about to participate in something emotionally complicated. Despite her discomfort, Manisha encourages her to proceed.

Just when Abhira is about to start, Damyanti stops her. She questions why Abhira is not wearing vermillion or a mangalsutra. The sudden question creates silence in the room. Abhira quickly makes an excuse, saying she has an allergy to vermillion and that Armaan lost her chain.

Damyanti looks confused and unconvinced. Disha’s mother also calls it inauspicious. Abhira tries to brush it off and suggests that Tanya can perform the ritual instead. Damyanti firmly refuses and says only the elder daughter-in-law has the right to do it.

The situation becomes more intense when Damyanti suggests that Armaan should put a ring on Abhira as part of the ritual. The unexpected suggestion shocks both of them. Armaan immediately says he does not have a ring.

Before things can pause, Kaveri offers her own ring and asks Armaan to complete the ritual. Just when Armaan is about to proceed, Vidya interrupts. She changes the tone by introducing a game, saying rituals should have fun and excitement. She secretly signals to Abhira and Armaan to lose the game so the ritual does not get completed.

Damyanti grows curious about the game, and Aryan explains it playfully. Armaan has to chase Abhira, and if he catches her, he will put the ring on her finger. He even jokes that if they refuse to play, his wedding might get cancelled.

At the same time, Myra arrives at the function, excited to attend Aryan’s wedding. She walks in happily, unaware of what she is about to witness.

Back to the game, Abhira and Armaan begin the playful chase. What starts as a light moment slowly turns emotional. Both of them are reminded of their past as they run, and their expressions subtly change. Despite Vidya’s warning, Armaan ends up winning the game.

Now there is no way out. Under everyone’s gaze, Armaan gently puts the ring on Abhira’s finger. The moment feels heavy, filled with emotions that neither of them expresses openly.

Just then, Myra steps into the scene and freezes. She sees Abhira and Armaan together and is completely shaken. Old memories rush back instantly, leaving her stunned and unable to react. The festive atmosphere suddenly turns tense.

The episode ends with this emotional shock, leaving everyone confused and disturbed.

Precap

Myra’s trauma gets triggered, and she panics. Damyanti starts questioning Abhira and asks if Myra is her daughter. Unable to handle the situation, Myra runs away from the venue. Abhira and Armaan rush behind her. Damyanti stops the engagement and declares that it will not continue until they return. Myra climbs onto a truck, leaving Abhira terrified for her safety.

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th March 2026 Written Update Review

This episode focuses more on emotional tension than loud drama. The writing slowly builds discomfort through simple situations like outfit arguments and wedding rituals. Abhira and Armaan’s chemistry remains the heart of the story. Their conversations may sound like arguments, but the underlying emotions are clearly visible.

The ring ceremony twist is the strongest part of the episode. What starts as a staged ritual suddenly becomes real, creating an awkward yet powerful moment. The scene does not feel romantic in a typical way. Instead, it carries confusion, hesitation, and unresolved feelings.

Myra’s entry completely shifts the tone. Her reaction feels raw and impactful, instantly turning celebration into emotional chaos. The precap hints that her trauma will become the central focus of the upcoming track.

Overall, the episode moves at a steady pace while planting strong emotional triggers for future drama. It avoids unnecessary exaggeration and keeps the storytelling grounded.
