Review
This episode quietly builds tension while layering multiple tracks together, and that’s exactly what makes it engaging. It doesn’t rely on one big dramatic explosion, but instead keeps the audience hooked through emotional discomfort, secrets, and slow revelations.
The strongest part of the episode is how naturally the tone shifts. It begins on a light note with the Golgappa competition, giving viewers a breather, but quickly dives back into heavy emotions with Santosh’s reaction to Divya’s background. That transition feels smooth and very real — just like family moments that can turn sour in seconds.
Santosh’s character stands out the most here. Her anger toward Surya doesn’t feel random; it carries weight, history, and unresolved pain. The way she lashes out at Divya, despite her innocence, shows how deeply stuck she is in the past. It makes her frustrating, yet believable.
Divya’s emotional breakdown adds depth. Her reaction feels genuine, not overdone. For once, the show gives her a strong emotional moment instead of keeping her in the background. Chandrika supporting Divya also adds a nice layer, showing that she isn’t completely rigid and does understand fairness when it comes to others.
Vasudha continues to be the emotional glue.
Even when situations spiral, she tries to balance everyone — Santosh, Chandrika, and now even Divya. Her attempt to calm Santosh and later push Prabhat to reveal the past shows growth in her character. She’s no longer just adjusting; she’s actively trying to fix things.
Dev’s track adds a parallel sense of purpose. His investigation into Hanumant’s accident is a subtle but important progression. It gives him a role beyond just being torn between his mother and wife. The CCTV clue is a smart addition, hinting that this storyline will soon move forward.
The Amitabh Bachchan lie is a clever touch.
It brings back a bit of humor while also showing how well Dev understands Santosh. It doesn’t feel forced — it fits her personality perfectly and lightens the mood without breaking the seriousness of the situation.
The biggest strength of the episode is its setup.
Prabhat finally agreeing to reveal the past feels like a major turning point. The story is clearly preparing to uncover the root of Santosh’s hatred, which could change multiple relationships in the house — especially Chandrika’s image in Santosh’s eyes.
Overall, the episode focuses more on emotional groundwork than dramatic payoff, but it works because every scene pushes the story forward.
