Anupama 17th May 2026 Written Update: Shruti Shocks Everyone by Making Rahi the Owner, Anupama Senses Danger Around Prem
Today’s episode begins with Prem preparing the café menu with full determination. He says he has only two days left and promises to create something extraordinary that no one else can achieve. Prem notices Rahi looking thoughtful and asks if she doubts his abilities after hearing Ansh, Mahi, Pari, and Ishani supporting Anupama.
Prem directly asks Rahi if she still believes Anupama will win the business competition. Rahi assures him that she has no doubts about him. Vasundhara also tells Prem not to get emotionally distracted. Gautam comments that Anupama’s café gained popularity only because of social media hype, but Prem confidently replies that reality is very different from online trends.
Khyati taunts Rahi and Prem by saying they entered business only to make a bad deal.
Meanwhile, Hasmuk warmly welcomes Anupama, Digvijay, Jaya, and Banku into the Shah house. Leela comments that Digvijay has done such a huge favor for Anupama that they must welcome him properly. Jaya lightens the atmosphere by praising the house for having beautiful women around.
Ansh happily offers Digvijay his room to stay in, but Pakhi immediately creates discomfort by asking whether Banku will also stay there. Anupama firmly answers Pakhi and says if she has any issue with Banku staying there, then she herself can vacate her room for him. Pakhi gets stunned by Anupama’s sharp response.
Leela complains that the house already feels overcrowded. Anupama calmly explains that a house never becomes small because of more people if the hearts inside remain large.
Later, Anupama asks Banku where he plans to sleep. Banku quietly says he will manage somehow. Pakhi rudely tells him to sleep in a corner of the house. Secretly, Pakhi and Paritosh decide to somehow throw Anupama, Digvijay, and Banku out of the Shah house.
Anupama silently prays to God to keep peace inside the family despite all the tension.
The next morning, Leela gets angry after seeing Banku sleeping in the kitchen. She scolds him and says nobody enters the kitchen without bathing first. Leela asks Anupama to teach Banku household manners because according to her, he is only a servant.
Anupama immediately takes a stand and says Banku is not a servant but part of her family. She strongly lectures Leela about treating workers and helpers with respect and dignity.
Leela gets irritated and tells Anupama not to preach morality inside her house. She taunts Anupama for not owning a house despite contributing money for years. Their conversation slowly shifts toward the upcoming Vat Savitri puja.
At the Kothari house, Vasundhara asks Khyati whether Parag still has not called her. Gautam worries that Mahi may still think negatively about him after everything that happened.
Meanwhile, Shruti gets ready for Vat Savitri puja. Vasundhara becomes curious and asks whom she is fasting for. Shruti emotionally replies that she still prays for Anuj’s happiness. Rahi becomes emotional hearing her words.
Elsewhere, Anupama remembers Anuj and emotionally decides that she will continue waiting for him forever if needed. She silently prays for Rahi and Prem’s happiness and hopes their relationship survives every challenge.
Raja tells Anil that he and Prem are also fasting for their wives. Vasundhara questions why men should keep such fasts. Prem lovingly replies that he wants Rahi to remain his wife in all seven births.
Vasundhara gifts Shruti an expensive necklace and thanks her for supporting Prem. Shruti initially refuses the gift but finally accepts it after Vasundhara insists.
Then comes the biggest shock of the episode.
Shruti officially announces that she is making Rahi the owner of both the restaurant and the property connected to it. Everyone gets stunned by her huge decision.
Prem becomes emotional and thanks Shruti wholeheartedly.
Meeta asks Vasundhara to take back the gifted necklace because Shruti has already done too much. Shruti then surprises everyone further by offering Prerna an employment letter for the café business.
Prerna gets shocked and initially refuses the offer. Shruti bluntly tells her she is free to leave if she does not want the opportunity. Prem encourages Prerna to accept the offer and explains that even he works under Rahi’s supervision proudly.
Shruti then asks everyone to focus on launching the café successfully.
Back at the Shah house, Digvijay shares with Hasmuk that he finally experienced peaceful sleep after a very long time. Banku serves tea lovingly to everyone. Hasmuk asks Banku what he would like to eat.
Paritosh becomes irritated watching Hasmuk care for Digvijay and Banku. Hasmuk calmly reminds him that guests deserve respect.
Paritosh openly disrespects Banku, but Digvijay strongly defends him and proudly calls Banku his son. Hasmuk sadly says Pakhi and Paritosh will never truly understand relationships and humanity.
Ishani decides to prepare tea specially for Banku, but Pakhi interrupts again. Ishani finally goes against her mother and supports Banku openly.
Paritosh taunts Digvijay for teaching values despite leaving his own family once. Hasmuk then says he genuinely feels sorry for Kinjal because she still keeps fasts for someone like Paritosh.
Later, Leela and Kinjal meet the Kotharis during the Vat Savitri puja celebrations.
At the same time, Anupama suddenly senses danger near an electric pole. She becomes restless and prays for Prem and Rahi’s safety. A strange smell from the electric wire makes her panic internally.
The episode ends with Anupama sensing that something dangerous is about to happen around Prem.

Review
Today’s episode balanced family drama, emotional moments, and future suspense very well. Shruti making Rahi the owner was the biggest twist and clearly proves she is planning something much bigger emotionally and strategically.
Anupama’s scenes with Banku once again highlighted her compassionate nature, while Pakhi and Paritosh continued behaving selfishly. Prem’s emotional support for Rahi looked genuine, but the upcoming electrical danger track adds strong suspense.
The emotional layer around Anuj’s memories and Shruti’s attachment to him also made the episode emotionally rich.
