Jhanak 17th May 2026 Written Update: Aniruddh Warns Rishi Again, Aditi Agrees to Marry Koushik
The episode begins with Jhanak assuring Aniruddh that she is completely fine now. Dritimaan happily tells Aniruddh that he arrived at the perfect time because the family is busy discussing the upcoming cricket tournament.
Dadabhai immediately complains that cricket and such activities are nothing but a waste of time. Sanjhbati teasingly reminds him how excited he himself was about the tournament earlier. Jhanak smiles hearing their playful banter.
Aniruddh gets emotional seeing Jhanak smile again after everything she suffered. He openly says he never wanted Jhanak to return to Rishi’s house after the humiliation she faced there.
Abhimanyu tries to calm the situation and explains that everything happened because of misunderstandings. Tanushri also supports Jhanak and tells Aniruddh that the family never blindly supported Rishi during the conflict. She assures him that they trusted Jhanak throughout.
Tanushri further tells Rishi that Aniruddh’s anger comes from a father’s fear and pain. She promises Aniruddh that nothing like the previous incident will ever happen again.
Aniruddh says the insult Jhanak faced cannot heal easily because emotional wounds stay forever. He emotionally adds that Jhanak can never hate anyone for too long because she always sacrifices herself to save relationships.
Jhanak tries to stop the emotional discussion and says she now wants to focus only on the cricket tournament and winning it.
Sanjhbati jokingly says Jhanak is treating the cricket match like a battlefield. Rishi silently worries that Jhanak may never fully trust him again.
Later, Aniruddh reaches home and gets surprised seeing preparations going on there. Arshi informs him that guests are coming shortly.
Soon, Koushik arrives with his parents. Arshi warmly welcomes them inside. Aditi also comes there and greets everyone politely.
Aniruddh quietly asks Arshi what exactly is happening. Arshi calmly replies that this conversation should have happened much earlier.
Koushik directly tells Aniruddh that he has come with serious intentions regarding marriage. Koushik’s father says they have no objection if their son genuinely wants this relationship. His mother also admits that they already liked Aditi before.
Aniruddh becomes surprised and asks whether Aditi already knew about all this.
Koushik reveals that he and Aditi had already met privately at a café before this family meeting. He then reminds Aditi about the conditions he had already discussed with her.
Koushik clearly says that after marriage, Aditi must never interfere in Jhanak and Rishi’s life again. He says she should never try to come between them emotionally.
Aniruddh feels uncomfortable hearing Koushik speak so directly to Aditi, but internally he also knows Koushik is not completely wrong.
Koushik continues and says Aditi was unable to accept that Rishi had emotionally moved on with Jhanak. According to him, Aditi secretly became happy whenever Rishi gave her emotional importance.
Aditi feels awkward hearing everything spoken openly in front of the family. Koushik calmly clarifies that he is not insulting her but simply trying to build honesty and communication before marriage.
Aditi finally accepts her mistakes honestly. She admits she could never emotionally accept Rishi choosing Jhanak over her, and her inability to move on ruined many relationships around her.
Koushik advises Aditi not to keep running toward her painful past forever.
Aditi emotionally accepts that she hurt Koushik and many others because of her confusion and emotional weakness. Koushik’s mother lovingly asks Aditi to forget the past and start life again peacefully.
Later, Arshi emotionally tells Aniruddh that she fears Aditi’s happiness may once again get snatched away from her life. Aniruddh comforts Arshi and assures her that this time everything will be alright.
The emotional moment becomes more touching when Aniruddh hugs Arshi warmly. Aditi watches them silently and feels guilty for trying to separate them emotionally in the past.
She realizes how many mistakes she made while struggling with her own emotions.
The next day, Arshi arrives at Rishi’s house along with Aniruddh, Bablu, and Anjana.
The episode ends on an emotional yet hopeful note.
