Lock Upp Season 2: Shivangi Joshi Enters the Jail? Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh Bring New Chaos

India’s controversial reality show Lock Upp is finally returning with its second season, and this time, the drama promises to be bigger, tougher, and far more unpredictable. Four years after the explosive debut season, Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa is ready to lock celebrities inside its high-pressure prison once again, but with a completely fresh twist.

The biggest surprise this season is the change in jailers. Bollywood filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan joins forces with actor-director Riteish Deshmukh to lead the show. Replacing the previous setup, the duo brings a unique good-cop, bad-cop energy that has already caught viewers’ attention through the newly released teaser.

Farah Khan appears in her trademark no-nonsense avatar, armed with sharp wit and brutally honest observations. Riteish Deshmukh, on the other hand, brings calm charm and strategic gameplay to the prison. Together, they seem ready to challenge contestants in ways never seen before. The teaser hints that inmates will have no choice but to reveal their truths if they wish to survive.

Season 2 carries the tagline Sach ya Sazaa, and the format remains as ruthless as ever. Fourteen celebrity contestants will live inside a prison-like setup, completely cut off from the outside world. Basic comforts such as proper food, hot water, and comfortable bedding will not come easily. Contestants must compete in intense mental and physical tasks to earn these necessities.

Unlike many reality shows, Lock Upp thrives on secrets and confessions. Inmates will be forced to reveal hidden truths from their personal and public lives to escape punishments and eliminations. The emotional and psychological pressure is expected to create dramatic confrontations and unexpected alliances.

The biggest talking point right now is the contestant lineup. While the makers have kept the final list under wraps, several big names are circulating online. Television star Shivangi Joshi, who won hearts as Naira in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is reportedly among the first confirmed contestants. Her participation has already generated excitement among television fans eager to see a completely different side of the actress.

Veteran actor Ram Kapoor is also heavily rumored to join the show. If true, his presence could bring maturity, humor, and strong gameplay to the competition. Other rumored contestants include Uorfi Javed, Archana Gautam, Sunita Ahuja, Shilpa Shinde, and Urvashi Dholakia. However, the official contestant list is yet to be announced by the makers.

One of the biggest changes this season is its streaming platform. Unlike the first season, Lock Upp: Sach ya Sazaa will stream exclusively on Netflix beginning June 27, 2026. The six-week format promises a fast-paced journey with fresh episodes dropping every Saturday to Wednesday at 8 PM IST.

With new jailers, shocking secrets, intense tasks, and a star-studded lineup, Lock Upp Season 2 appears ready to deliver high-voltage entertainment once again. Now the biggest question remains—will Shivangi Joshi truly enter the jail, or is there another surprise waiting for fans?
