Sairaab 2nd July 2026 Written Update: Nayanika Learns About Her Cancer Diagnosis as Ujjaini Misunderstands Her

The episode begins with Bishu telling Nayanika that Ishaan asked him to stay with her at the hospital. Nayanika politely refuses, saying there is no need for anyone to look after her. Bishu notices her hesitation and says that even if she doesn’t want Ishaan around, she can at least allow him to stay by her side through Bishu.

Nayanika notices the tiffin box Bishu has brought and immediately guesses that Ishaan sent it for her. Bishu smiles and says she still doesn’t know Ishaan well. He explains that Ishaan has a big heart and has spent his entire childhood longing for love, which is why all he seeks today is genuine affection.

Nayanika points out that Ena loves Ishaan deeply, but Bishu dismisses the idea. He says Ishaan no longer gives Ena any importance after understanding her true nature.

Meanwhile, Dr. Raj asks Ishaan about his relationship with Nayanika. Ishaan simply replies that she is his friend.

Later, after completing all her medical tests, a nurse asks Nayanika to take some rest. Bishu requests her to eat something, but she refuses, saying she has no appetite. Bishu tells her that even Ishaan hasn’t eaten because he has been worried about her.

Nayanika worries that society will misunderstand Ishaan’s concern for her. Bishu tells her they should stop living for society’s opinions because none of those people ever came forward to share their pain. Nayanika quietly insists that she has no pain.

Soon, Ishaan calls Bishu and asks whether Nayanika has eaten. Bishu tells him she is still refusing food. Nayanika overhears the conversation and asks Bishu to tell Ishaan to come to her room. She also asks him to serve food on two plates.

Hearing this, Ishaan happily rushes to her room.

Nayanika laughs after realizing Ishaan actually ran because she called him.

She then switches on her phone and is shocked to find numerous missed calls from Ujjaini. When she returns the call, she asks if everything is alright.

Instead of answering, Ujjaini accuses Nayanika of lying. She says Nayanika never went to Mumbai for a seminar and only made that excuse to meet Ishaan. Nayanika tries to explain, but Ujjaini refuses to listen. When asked where she spent the previous night, Nayanika honestly says she stayed at a hotel. Ujjaini accuses her of lying again and disconnects the call.

Heartbroken, Nayanika breaks down in tears and says she wants to die.

Ishaan gently consoles her, telling her not to be selfish because she is extremely precious to a few people. He wipes away her tears and lovingly feeds her.

Elsewhere, Shisho questions Ujjaini for speaking so harshly to Nayanika. He believes Nayanika must have had a genuine reason for hiding the truth and reminds Ujjaini that she has deeply hurt the person she loves the most.

Later, Dr. Raj shares Nayanika’s medical reports. He reveals that she has been diagnosed with cancer but assures her that it has been detected at an early stage and can be treated successfully. He advises her to complete chemotherapy before returning to Kolkata.

The shocking diagnosis leaves Nayanika devastated.

She decides to get discharged from the hospital.

Meanwhile, Ishaan asks Bishu to pack Nayanika’s belongings, only to learn that she has already checked out. Nayanika says she will simply move to another hotel.

Ishaan firmly refuses to let her stay alone in a hotel. Nayanika also discovers that Ishaan has already paid all her hospital bills. When Ishaan tells her she can repay him later, Nayanika emotionally asks what would happen if she doesn’t live long enough to return the money.

The episode ends.

Precap

Indrani asks Nayanika where she is staying. Nayanika reveals that she is at Ishaan’s house and will decide later when she will return. Ujjaini angrily tells her not to come back at all. Indrani also questions her decision to stay with Ishaan. Nayanika firmly replies that she is 41 years old and does not need anyone’s permission to decide where she wants to stay.

Review

The episode delivers a powerful emotional journey, balancing Nayanika’s strained relationship with her family and the heartbreaking revelation of her cancer diagnosis. Ishaan’s unconditional care adds warmth to the story, while Ujjaini’s misunderstanding creates another emotional conflict that promises compelling drama ahead.
