Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 17th July 2026 Written Update: Myra Makes a Big Sacrifice, Bhanu Finally Agrees to Help Abhira
The episode begins with Arman deciding to speak to Bhanu later. Just then, he notices a card lying on the ground and picks it up. As the Poddars cheer for Arman, Bhanu suddenly accuses him of stealing his competition card. Arman explains that he was only returning the card and had no intention of cheating. However, the host refuses to hear his explanation and disqualifies Arman from the competition.
Arman apologizes to Myra and Mukti for disappointing them. Myra comforts him, saying they had already lost the competition anyway. Abhira encourages Arman by reminding him that he actually won in spirit because he remained steady and confident throughout the challenge. She is also happy to see that Arman’s health has improved significantly.
Arman worries that Bhanu has become so angry that he is now refusing to testify in Malhotra’s case. Sanjay mocks the situation and declares that Abhira is certain to lose the case.
Meanwhile, a group of girls begins bullying another girl. Myra immediately steps in to protect her. Tanya tells Myra that she is spoiling everyone’s fun by interfering.
Kaveri asks Abhira to participate in the next family competition, but Abhira refuses because she is disturbed by Bhanu’s decision. Kaveri reminds her that sitting out of the competition won’t convince Bhanu either. Arman also encourages Abhira to continue participating.
Abhira joins Shipra for the next round while Arman and Bhanu assist them. The host announces a multitasking challenge, asking both women to prove that they can efficiently handle multiple responsibilities at once. Abhira performs brilliantly and wins the round.
At the same time, trouble strikes elsewhere. Mukti notices the same group of bully girls surrounding Myra and rushes to protect her. In the scuffle, the girls cruelly cut Mukti’s hair before running away.
Mukti is devastated after seeing her chopped hair lying on the floor. She covers herself with a scarf and refuses to face anyone. Myra follows her and lovingly tells her that she still looks beautiful. Hurt and insecure, Mukti pushes Myra away and asks her not to come close.
Arman and Abhira rush to console Mukti. Although everyone tries to reassure her, Mukti remains heartbroken. Krish tells her that hair will eventually grow back. Myra also insists that hair isn’t what makes someone beautiful.
Unable to believe their words, Mukti challenges Myra to cut her own hair if appearance truly doesn’t matter. Myra is left stunned by the emotional request.
Abhira gently tells Mukti that she is beautiful just the way she is. Arman promises to arrange the best hairstylist for her, but Mukti refuses, saying she doesn’t want to face anyone anymore.
Determined to prove her love, Myra decides she will cut her own hair to show Mukti that their bond matters more than appearances.
Overwhelmed by emotion, Mukti admits her deepest fear. She says she doesn’t resemble the Poddar family and worries that everyone will eventually realize she doesn’t look like Arman or Abhira.
At that moment, Bhanu reveals an important truth to the Poddars. He says that Myra and Mukti saved his daughter from the bullies. Touched by their courage and kindness, Bhanu finally agrees to become a witness in Malhotra’s case.
Arman and Abhira thank both Myra and Mukti for their selfless actions. The entire Poddar family celebrates the happy news.
Abhira embraces Mukti and assures her that she should never feel like an outsider because she is their daughter in every way that truly matters. The family comforts Mukti with love and acceptance.
Elsewhere, Kajal notices Sanjay silently watching the emotional family moment. She asks him to stop observing the family drama and return to his room.
