Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 20th July 2026 Written Update: Abhira Reappoints Sanjay, While Tanya Walks Away
Today’s episode begins with Abhira telling Arman that she is not ready to take over the firm. Arman regrets putting so much pressure on her and says he never wanted her to feel like she had to be a superwoman. He promises that he will never burden her like that again.
Arman understands why Abhira misses BSP so deeply. He reminds her that when he wasn’t around, BSP stood by her, helped her reach the court on time, supported her victory, and even helped save Disha’s baby. He assures Abhira that BSP, Myra, and Mukti will always remain by her side.
Later, Abhira gets ready to officially join the law firm. The Poddars celebrate her victory with great enthusiasm. Sanjay watches the celebration emotionally, while Kajal and Tanya quietly stand at a distance. Abhira notices them, warmly hugs both Kajal and Tanya, and invites them to join the celebrations. Arman proudly announces that the firm’s new Managing Director has arrived as everyone heads to the office together.
Meanwhile, Tanya tells Kajal that the house is empty and it is the perfect time to leave. She says they can inform the Poddars once they settle somewhere else. Kajal becomes emotional as she recalls all the memories she has shared with the family, leaving Tanya feeling guilty.
At the firm’s board meeting, Sanjay admits that despite all his efforts, he failed to run the firm successfully. However, he insists that he has always remained loyal to it. He decides to resign and prepares to leave.
Before he can walk away, Abhira stops him.
Elsewhere, Tanya asks Kajal to leave with her, but Krish pleads with Kajal not to go. Kajal says she cannot break the promise she made to Tanya. In a surprising turn, Tanya releases Kajal from that promise, leaving both Kajal and Krish stunned.
Back at the office, Abhira shocks everyone by reappointing Sanjay. The board members question her decision, but Abhira explains that despite his flaws, Sanjay has contributed significantly to the firm’s growth and deserves another opportunity. Sanjay is left speechless by her decision.
Kajal still refuses to abandon Tanya. Tanya lovingly tells Kajal that she is always welcome to visit her whenever she wishes. Kajal breaks down emotionally as Tanya walks away. Meanwhile, Sanjay silently leaves the office without answering Abhira’s question about whether he is willing to work under her leadership.
The Poddars continue celebrating, while Krish comforts Kajal. On the other hand, Sanjay vents his frustration. He tells Krish that it is humiliating for him to work under Abhira after building the firm himself. Krish, however, defends both Abhira and Arman. He questions Sanjay, asking why he never started his own firm if owning one meant so much to him.
Later, Abhira is seen cleaning utensils despite becoming the firm’s Managing Director. Madhav proudly praises her humility and says he is proud that success has not changed her. During their conversation, Madhav admits that he regrets taking early retirement because no one is willing to offer him a job due to his age. Feeling useless, he becomes emotional. Abhira feels deeply saddened by his words.
Later, Abhira worries that Myra and Mukti may leave for higher studies abroad. While discussing their future, Arman wonders how they will continue finding time for each other. Abhira teasingly suggests a romantic solution.
Just then, Myra and Mukti interrupt them and excitedly announce a scholarship program. Abhira and Arman advise them not to participate because the one who loses might get hurt emotionally. Determined to prove them wrong, Myra and Mukti decide to compete anyway.
