Seher Hone Ko Hai 21st July 2026 Written Update: Mahid Makes a Shocking Request to Seher
Today’s episode begins with Seher helping Husna clean her face after the chaos. Husna, however, is extremely nervous because she fears Seher might notice the hidden goon inside the house and recognize him. Trying to avoid any further complications, Seher assures Husna that she has no intention of returning to the house again. She explains that she came there only because of Dr. Farid and has no personal reason to stay.
Determined to get Seher out as quickly as possible, Husna insists that she leave through the back door. She deliberately claims that the front area is dirty with cow dung and says Seher may make the place even messier if she walks through it. Seher calmly replies that she can leave without touching anything, but Husna stubbornly repeats her order and forces her to use the back exit instead. Seher finally agrees and leaves. Once she is gone, Husna breathes a sigh of relief, convinced that her secret has remained safe.
Meanwhile, Mahid is consumed by guilt over everything that happened earlier in the day. He blames himself for losing control and worries about how he will face the respected members of the Marshal community after his emotional outburst. While thinking about the incident, he realizes that despite trying to distance himself from Seher, fate continues bringing them together. He wonders how he can resolve the growing complications in his life.
His thoughts are interrupted when a servant informs him that members of the Marshal community have arrived to meet him. Mahid is shocked to hear that they have come to his house so late at night. As he walks outside, he overhears the servants gossiping about his behaviour. One servant even remarks that Mahid has become so unstable that he would probably smash flower pots as well after losing his temper inside the mosque. Hearing such comments deeply hurts Mahid, who silently wonders whether everyone now believes he has lost his sanity.
Mahid welcomes the guests respectfully and asks why they have come at such an unusual hour. One of them immediately confronts him about his behaviour at the mosque. He reminds Mahid that he holds the highly respected position of Mufti and questions how someone with such responsibility could completely lose control in front of everyone.
The guest further points out that Haider wisely took everyone outside before the situation became worse. According to him, Mahid appeared mentally unstable and unfit to continue serving as the city’s Mufti. Watching the confrontation from a distance, Haider secretly feels delighted because his carefully planned scheme seems to be working perfectly.
Mahid refuses to remain silent. He calmly asks everyone whether he has ever made an unfair decision during the past seven years. He reminds them that Dada Huzoor himself chose him to become the Mufti of the city. If they now question his position, they are indirectly questioning Dada Huzoor’s judgment as well.
He confidently explains that throughout his tenure, he has always delivered justice without showing favour to anyone. Every decision he has made has been fair, balanced, and based on truth. He then asks why everyone is judging his entire character based on a single emotional moment.
Another guest points out that Mahid interrupted their prayers by shouting Seher’s name inside the mosque, leaving everyone frightened. Hearing Seher’s name once again fills Mahid with regret. He silently thinks that if Seher had been there, she would have handled the situation with her intelligence and presence of mind. He even wishes he had learned some of her practical ways of dealing with difficult situations.
Realizing that hiding the truth will only worsen matters, Mahid openly admits that he indeed lost control. He emotionally explains that he could not save Kauser, and on top of that, Seher walked out of his life. He confesses before everyone that he loves Seher unconditionally. The moment he heard that something terrible might have happened to her, he completely lost his senses.
With tears in his eyes, Mahid says that Seher is not just someone he loves—she is his heartbeat and the reason he continues living. He asks the gathering how any ordinary person could remain calm after hearing that the one they love might be in danger. Although he is the Mufti of the city, he reminds everyone that he is still a human being with emotions. He asks whether loving someone is now considered a crime. He admits that her absence has left him completely heartbroken.
Mahid’s heartfelt confession changes the atmosphere entirely. One of the guests becomes emotional and speaks in Mahid’s support. He praises Mahid for remaining loyal to Seher despite rejecting his own daughter’s marriage proposal. Instead of criticizing him, the guest encourages Mahid to fight for his love and bring Seher back into his life.
Elsewhere, Amal complains to Seher about returning to Lucknow. Irritated by the frequent power cuts, she jokingly accuses Dr. Farid of deliberately creating the situation so they will be forced to stay at his house. Seher immediately defends Farid, insisting that he would never resort to such childish tricks.
Just then, Mahid arrives and knocks on the door. Seher is stunned to see him standing outside. Mahid politely requests Amal to give them a few moments alone so he can speak privately with Seher.
Meanwhile, Haider grows frustrated because Mahid continues escaping every trap laid before him. At the same time, he notices that Insha is upset with Kaiz and tries to manipulate the situation to his advantage. However, Insha warns Haider to be careful instead of falling into his schemes.
Back with Seher and Mahid, Seher refuses to listen to anything he has to say. Mahid desperately stops her and insists that she hear him out. In a moment of frustration, he even jokingly threatens that he will abduct her if she continues ignoring him. Shocked, Seher points out that such words do not suit a Mufti.
Mahid sadly replies that he has already lost almost everything in life. The only thing left with him is his position as Mufti, and now someone is trying to take that away as well.
He then makes an unexpected request. Mahid asks Seher to pretend to be engaged to him. Seeing his emotional state, Seher offers him a glass of water, convinced that something serious has happened.
Mahid clarifies that he is not asking her to marry him for real. He only wants her to act as his fiancée so the Marshal community will continue believing in his love story and restore their confidence in him. According to Mahid, this temporary arrangement is the only way he can protect his position and counter the rumours spreading against him.
The episode ends with Seher left speechless by Mahid’s shocking proposal.
