The Traitors Season 2 Announced: Karan Johar Returns With a Bigger Game of Betrayal

Prime Video India has officially announced The Traitors Season 2, bringing back the hit reality show hosted by Karan Johar. After a successful first season filled with shocking betrayals and unforgettable rivalries, the new season promises an even more intense battle of trust, deception, and strategy.

The announcement video revisits some of the most memorable betrayals from Season 1, joking that they deserve a place in the “Museum of The Traitors.” Karan Johar returns with his signature wit, reminding viewers that friendships may fade, but betrayals are remembered forever.

This season, 21 contestants will enter the palace to compete in a ruthless game where no one can be trusted. Hidden Traitors will secretly eliminate players under the cover of darkness, while the remaining contestants try to identify the traitors before becoming their next victims. Every alliance will be temporary, every conversation will be questioned, and every smile could hide a betrayal.

The promo also teases a star-studded contestant lineup, with glimpses of personalities including Mallika Sherawat and Munawar Faruqui, while hinting at several other popular reality TV faces joining the game. Without revealing too much, the video promises fierce mind games, emotional manipulation, shocking eliminations, and unexpected twists throughout the season.

Karan Johar humorously describes the aftermath of Season 1 by joking that the contestants are now suffering from “PTSD – Post Traitors Stress Disorder,” setting the tone for another entertaining season filled with suspense and dark humor.

The trailer ends with Karan welcoming viewers back to the palace with his signature line, “Rise and shine, it’s dhokha time… again,” before signing off with, “Bye, don’t die.”

The Traitors Season 2 premieres on August 13, 2026, with new episodes streaming every Thursday on Prime Video India. Fans can expect a bigger cast, tougher mind games, and even more shocking betrayals as the hunt for the Traitors begins once again.
