Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 28th July 2026 Written Update: Kajal Mistakenly Announces Abhira’s Pregnancy
The episode begins with Kaveri asking Arman to bring one of her friends for the family function. Before he leaves, Kajal stops him and reveals that she has already invited Tanya. She asks Arman whether Tanya has agreed to attend the ceremony.
Arman explains that Tanya told Abhira she is still not comfortable returning to the Poddar house.
He says Tanya has gone through a difficult phase in her life and deserves the time and space she needs to heal. Kajal understands his point of view and agrees not to pressure Tanya.
Meanwhile, Arman quietly plans to buy a pregnancy test kit.
Just as he is about to leave, Manoj interrupts him. Not wanting to raise anyone’s suspicions, Arman decides to order the pregnancy kit online instead.
Abhira notices him using his phone and asks what he is doing.
Arman tells her he has ordered the kit online.
Abhira immediately panics.
She worries that someone else in the family might receive the parcel before they do and discover the truth. At the same time, she begins thinking about the possibility of becoming a mother once again.
She recalls how possessive Myra was during childhood and wonders whether she would be able to accept a new sibling. Although Mukti has finally settled into the family, Abhira fears that another baby could once again disturb the balance between her daughters.
A little later, Manisha’s parcel and Arman’s online order arrive at the house together.
Seeing the delivery, Abhira becomes nervous.
Manisha notices their unusual behavior and curiously asks what they have ordered.
Trying to hide the truth, Abhira quickly lies that she ordered chocolates.
Unfortunately, the packet accidentally slips from her hands and falls onto the floor.
Manisha immediately senses that something is wrong and questions both Arman and Abhira.
Before they can respond properly, Vidya also notices the mysterious package.
Thinking quickly, Arman blurts out that the parcel contains cigarettes because he has started smoking.
His excuse shocks everyone.
Vidya immediately tells him that he is clearly lying.
Manisha also refuses to believe his explanation and becomes determined to uncover whatever secret Arman and Abhira are hiding.
Later, Abhira confesses her worries to Arman.
She feels embarrassed at the thought of becoming pregnant again while already being the parents of teenage daughters. She fears society will judge them if the pregnancy turns out to be true.
Arman gently asks her not to think about what other people will say.
He reminds her that they should first confirm the pregnancy before worrying about anything else.
Just then, Manisha interrupts them once again.
She questions Arman about where he is going and jokingly asks whether he is secretly planning to go somewhere alone with Abhira.
Vidya also teases Arman and tells him to behave like a responsible father instead of acting suspiciously.
Elsewhere, Kaveri successfully completes the puja ceremony.
She asks Disha whether she has already thought of a name for the baby.
During the conversation, Manoj notices Kiara is absent.
Aryan playfully suggests that Abhira and Arman should choose the baby’s name.
Meanwhile, another argument erupts between Myra and Mukti.
The two sisters discover that their thesis papers have been exchanged.
Mukti accuses Myra of deliberately switching them, while Myra insists it happened by mistake.
Their heated argument quickly turns into another fight.
Seeing them quarrel again, Abhira loses her patience and scolds both daughters.
After everyone settles down, Abhira quietly reflects on the possibility of having a third child.
She finally gathers the courage to check the pregnancy test.
Before she can reveal the result, Kajal misunderstands the situation.
Believing that Abhira is already pregnant, Kajal excitedly announces the news to the entire Poddar family.
Abhira silently thinks that if she really becomes a mother again, Myra and Mukti will eventually leave for the hostel, making it easier to raise another child.
The episode ends.
Precap: On Myra’s 18th birthday, Abhira reminds her of their promise that she can ask one adult question. Myra asks when Abhira realized Arman was the love of her life. Abhira replies that she knew it when Arman became her soulmate, best friend, and the one person she couldn’t imagine living without. Myra becomes emotional and says she has found someone just like that. Curious, Abhira asks who it is. Myra then asks Arman and Abhira to meet her soulmate.
