The episode begins with Aparajita and her family preparing to leave for the special puja at the Bharadwaj house.
The neighbors excitedly tell Aparajita that they are fortunate to have received an invitation to such an important function.
Malti asks everyone to get into the van but notices that Ramgopal looks unusually quiet.
Concerned, she asks him what is troubling him.
Ramgopal admits that he feels guilty because everyone is planning Aparajita’s engagement without even asking for her opinion.
He says Aparajita has always wanted to live life on her own terms and never wished to become someone’s shadow after marriage.
