Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 31st July 2026 Written Update: Tulsi Hands the Virani House Keys to Vaishnavi, Karan Makes a Shocking Confession

The episode begins with Tulsi gathering the Virani family and announcing that she has finally decided who will take responsibility for the household. Everyone waits anxiously, expecting either Damini or Niyati to be chosen. However, Tulsi surprises everyone by placing the Virani house keys into the hands of the youngest daughter-in-law, Vaishnavi.

The unexpected decision leaves the entire family stunned. Karan is the first to react. He questions Tulsi’s judgment and accuses her of taking revenge on her own son. He reminds Gautam that he had always opposed Tulsi and Vaishnavi and says Tulsi even humiliated Nandini by making her work under Vaishnavi’s instructions.

Tulsi remains calm but gives Karan a firm reply. She tells him that while he is her son, that does not automatically make Nandini her daughter-in-law in every sense of responsibility. Karan says he no longer cares about Tulsi’s decisions, but he also makes it clear that he has no intention of leaving the Virani house.

Niyati questions Tulsi for ignoring Damini despite her years of experience. Tulsi explains that her decision is not emotional but practical. She appreciates Niyati’s concern for Damini but says she has carefully thought everything through before choosing Vaishnavi. Shobha also requests Tulsi to reconsider, believing the responsibility should go to someone older.

Tulsi patiently explains that leadership is not determined by age alone. According to her, Vaishnavi possesses the qualities needed to unite the family and carry forward the traditions of the Virani house as the new choti bahu.

Although Gautam is happy for Vaishnavi, he suggests that Damini should temporarily keep the keys and train Vaishnavi until she becomes confident enough to handle everything herself. Tulsi agrees with the suggestion and says Damini will guide Vaishnavi during the transition.

Tulsi then asks Gautam about Mihir’s whereabouts. Gautam avoids answering and quietly walks away, making Tulsi suspicious. Damini also reminds Tulsi that Vaishnavi is still new to the family and has a lot to learn. Tulsi, however, believes everyone deserves an opportunity to prove themselves.

Damini then comforts Vaishnavi and assures her that she will not have to face the responsibility alone. Vaishnavi, overwhelmed by the honour, requests Tulsi to take the keys back. She admits that the responsibility feels far too big for someone as inexperienced as her.

Tulsi gently encourages Vaishnavi not to be afraid. She explains that the head of the family is like the thread that keeps every relationship tied together. Confidence, honesty and love are more important than experience. To help Vaishnavi begin her journey, Tulsi gives her a simple first responsibility—preparing tea for the family.

Meanwhile, Gautam privately asks Damini why Tulsi denied her the keys and wonders what has changed in Tulsi’s thinking. Damini calmly replies that the keys have remained within the family, so there is no reason to create conflict. She then asks Gautam once again where Mihir is, but he refuses to answer.

Elsewhere, Karan vents his frustration to Niyati. He accuses Tulsi of never wanting his happiness. Niyati emotionally says she has never truly been accepted as part of the Virani family because she never married Ansh, even though Rio belongs to the family.

Tulsi overhears their conversation and firmly intervenes. She tells everyone that she has made her decision after careful thought. She reminds them that this is her house, her responsibility and her rules. She makes it clear that she neither needs anyone’s permission nor owes anyone an explanation.

Karan refuses to stay silent. In a shocking confession, he admits that he was the one who wrote all the letters in Mihir Virani’s name. He then cruelly tells Tulsi to accept the reality that Mihir hates her. Tulsi is devastated by the revelation and breaks down in tears. Unbeknownst to them, Sahil overhears the entire conversation.

Later, Sahil calls both Karan and Gautam into a room and locks the door behind them. Determined to uncover the truth, he confronts his brothers about everything they have been hiding. Both Karan and Gautam deny knowing anything, but Sahil reminds Karan that he has already confessed to writing Mihir’s letters.

Gautam asks Sahil to stay out of the matter, while Karan also warns him not to interfere. Hurt by their behaviour, Sahil emotionally reminds them that he is also a member of the Virani family and deserves to know the truth. His heartfelt words leave both Karan and Gautam speechless, hinting that the family’s biggest secret may soon come out.

Precap: Vaishnavi begins taking charge as the new head of the Virani household, but Damini and Niyati openly oppose Tulsi’s decision, setting the stage for fresh family conflict.

Review

This episode balances emotional family drama with a major mystery. Tulsi’s decision to trust Vaishnavi marks a significant turning point, while Karan’s confession about Mihir’s letters raises the stakes dramatically. Sahil’s confrontation adds another powerful layer, making the upcoming episodes even more intriguing.
