Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 1st August 2026 Written Update: Amrita Kidnaps Mukti and Demands the Poddar House
Today’s episode begins with Mukti leaving the Poddar house with Amrita. While sitting in the car, Mukti silently hopes that Arman, Abhira, and Myra will come to see her one last time before she leaves.
Inside the house, Abhira breaks down emotionally. Arman asks her to gather herself because Mukti is leaving. Overwhelmed with emotion, Abhira refuses, saying she cannot bear to watch Mukti walk away. Arman gently reminds her that Mukti may change her decision if she sees her family standing beside her. Abhira, however, feels helpless. She says she raised Mukti with love, and now she is losing her because Amrita suddenly entered their lives. Arman comforts Abhira and tries to reassure her.
Meanwhile, Kaveri attempts to meet Mukti before she leaves, but Amrita stops her. She bluntly claims that Mukti no longer wishes to meet any member of the Poddar family. Kaveri is left stunned by the statement.
Madhav, Manoj, and Kajal also become emotional while thinking about Mukti. At the same time, Vidya accidentally injures her hand. Mukti immediately rushes to help her without hesitation. Touched by Mukti’s concern, Vidya realizes how unfairly she treated her when she was a child. Filled with guilt, Vidya asks Madhav to stop Mukti from leaving.
Back inside, Arman urges Abhira to come with him and stop Mukti. Just then, Mukti notices her bracelet. Before she can take it, Myra grabs it and tells Mukti that the bracelet belongs to the family and cannot leave the house if she is leaving.
Arman and Abhira rush over, wondering what happened.
Myra reveals that Mukti left behind a letter before leaving. Mukti requests her not to read it immediately, but everyone insists.
As Arman, Abhira, and Myra read the heartfelt letter, emotions run high. Mukti thanks the entire family for giving her love, care, and a home when she needed it the most. Everyone is left teary-eyed.
Unable to control her emotions, Abhira raises her hand as if to slap Mukti for writing that she felt like a burden. Instead, she pulls her into an emotional embrace.
Abhira asks Mukti why she believed no one loved her. She reminds Mukti that the entire family loves her deeply.
Mukti tearfully explains that she misunderstood the situation. She says she saw Abhira and Myra packing her belongings and assumed they wanted her to leave with Amrita. Abhira immediately clarifies that they were only sending her clothes for dry cleaning. Aryan also confirms that Abhira had asked him to take the clothes.
Realizing her mistake, Mukti apologizes and refuses to leave with Amrita.
Amrita quickly changes her approach. She emotionally tells Mukti that she had prayed at a temple that if she ever found her, she would visit the temple together. Mukti agrees to accompany her.
Vidya and Madhav decide to visit the same temple. However, Amrita insists on spending some private time with Mukti and leaves alone with her. Suspicious, Vidya and Madhav secretly follow them in another car.
Back at home, Abhira happily starts planning a movie night for Mukti after she returns. Sanjay interrupts her and asks her to attend an important meeting.
Suddenly, Vidya and Madhav rush back home with shocking news.
They reveal that Amrita has kidnapped Mukti.
Abhira is left speechless.
Amrita contacts the Poddar family and places a shocking demand. She says Mukti will only be released if they hand over the Poddar house to her.
She orders Abhira to make the decision quickly.
Without thinking twice, Abhira declares that nothing is more important than her daughter and says she is ready to give up the house.
The Poddar family is stunned by Amrita’s demand and begins discussing what should be done.
Meanwhile, Amrita tells Mukti that this entire plan will expose the Poddars’ true colors.
Mukti refuses to believe her. She firmly says the Poddars have already given her more love than she ever deserved and will never betray her.
Finally, Kaveri decides that Mukti’s safety matters more than property. She agrees to hand over the Poddar house to save Mukti.
Abhira confirms Amrita’s demand will be fulfilled if Mukti is returned safely.
The episode ends on a tense note.
Precap: The Poddars celebrate Myra’s birthday. Myra introduces Kabir as her special guest and announces that she wants to marry him. Arman says it is time for her to focus on her career, not marriage. Myra argues that, like Abhira, she can fulfill her dreams after marriage. Abhira calls her immature, raising a new conflict within the family.
