Yeh Fitoor Tera 5th August 2026 Written Update: Soumya’s College Dreams Begin, Jeet Makes a Dangerous First Impression
The episode begins in Prayagraj, where Soumya starts her morning by feeding a cow and seeking blessings for a new beginning. She leaves with her younger brother, who dreams of becoming a doctor. While excited about joining college, Soumya is equally nervous because it is her first experience in a co-ed institution after studying only in a girls’ school.
Before reaching college, Soumya visits a tailor to get her dress altered. During the measurement, a boy accidentally makes her uncomfortable, leading an angry crowd to assault him. Soumya courageously steps in and defends the innocent boy, refusing to let the mob punish him unfairly. The villagers mock her and once again question her mental health. Her father, Anup Mathur, arrives and firmly stands by her, declaring that his daughter is perfectly normal despite society’s judgment.
Back home, Anup scolds his son for leaving Soumya alone. A blind elderly man warns Anup that a co-ed college may be too difficult for Soumya. However, Soumya expresses her desire to overcome her fears and become confident. Their neighbour, who also serves as the college dean, supports her decision. Finally, Anup gives his permission while reminding her to protect the family’s dignity. Her mother blesses her before she leaves for college.
At college, Soumya arrives with her friend Pakhi, who tries to ease her fear of boys. Pakhi jokingly introduces Rekha and Jaya as her bodyguards and advises Soumya to reveal that she is the college owner’s daughter if anyone troubles her.
Meanwhile, Jeet helps students cheat during an examination by writing answers all over his body. Shocked by his behaviour, Soumya confronts him and introduces herself confidently. Jeet casually searches her bag, takes out her lunchbox, and happily starts eating her homemade parathas. When Soumya introduces herself as Soumya Saxena, Jeet questions why she is using the surname Saxena instead of Mathur, leaving her speechless. Before leaving, he orders her to bring parathas for him every day.
Their argument attracts Principal Saxena. As the principal attempts to expose Jeet’s cheating by taking photographs, Jeet cleverly washes away the written answers before any evidence is captured. Even then, Jeet continues teasing everyone with his carefree attitude.
Later, Rekha and Jaya excitedly tell Soumya that Jeet speaking to her has increased her popularity in college. They reveal that Jeet is not only a topper in studies but also excels in extracurricular activities. Soumya dismisses him as a loser, but Jeet overhears the insult. Although he later pays for her meal in the canteen, he warns her that he will soon settle the score for complaining about him to the principal. Her friends caution her that Jeet is not someone to mess with.
Elsewhere, Principal Saxena’s wife reminds him that he cannot expel Jeet. Saxena reveals that Jeet has openly threatened him and is capable of crossing every limit.
Later, Jeet visits his late grandmother’s ashes and vows that the time has come to fulfill his promise and destroy Sanjeev Saxena’s peace.
As Soumya walks home, she spots Jeet riding his bike toward her. Terrified, she runs away, but Jeet follows her and finally stops right outside her house, leaving Soumya shaken.
Episode Ends.
Precap: Anup notices Soumya’s fear and asks what has happened. Unable to hide her emotions, Soumya breaks down, while Jeet watches her sitting alone, hinting that their confrontation is far from over.
Review
The premiere episode successfully establishes the contrasting personalities of Soumya and Jeet. Soumya’s innocence, courage, and vulnerability make her instantly relatable, while Jeet’s rebellious yet mysterious character adds intrigue. The first encounter between the leads is dramatic and layered with tension rather than romance, making the story’s beginning engaging. The final scene hints at a complicated relationship that could shape the show’s future.
