Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 7th August 2026 Written Update: Abhira Agrees to Take the Judge Exam, Kabir Chooses His Passion
The episode begins with Armaan and Abhira discussing the victory they achieved in court. Armaan tells Abhira that everyone was praising her performance, and that is exactly why he secretly enrolled her for the district judge examination. According to him, Abhira has always stood for justice and has every quality needed to become an excellent judge.
However, Abhira asks him to stop bringing up the topic. She says she has already made her feelings clear and doesn’t want to discuss it again. Instead, she changes the subject and asks why the Damanis were constantly staring at them during the court proceedings.
Armaan admits that he too noticed their strange behaviour. While there have been professional disagreements between the Poddars and the Damanis, he doesn’t understand why they suddenly seem to be treating them like personal enemies.
Meanwhile, Samar and Raghav are furious after losing the court case. Their frustration grows as media reporters surround them outside the courthouse.
The journalists question Samar about the controversial closure of the lake factory and ask whether the company will take responsibility for the environmental damage.
Samar and Raghav refuse to answer any questions and walk away without making any statement.
The media then approaches Abhira and asks for her reaction after winning such an important case.
Abhira calmly says she has no personal rivalry with the Damanis. Her only concern was that they failed to operate the lake factory responsibly, forcing innocent people to suffer. She adds that the court’s decision was based purely on justice, not personal revenge.
Elsewhere, Bhairavi is furious after learning about the negative publicity surrounding Rasbora Industries.
She lashes out at Samar and Raghav for damaging the family’s reputation and orders the Damanis not to spare the Poddars for what happened.
At the Damanis’ house, Kabir also learns about the factory shutdown.
Samar asks Nandani not to discuss the matter in front of Kabir, saying he doesn’t want the youngster to take unnecessary stress.
Instead, Samar asks Kabir whether he has shared his good news with the family yet.
Raghu and Samar become curious and ask Kabir what he wants to announce.
Kabir excitedly reveals that he has been selected to participate in the Jaipur Youth Fest, where he wants to pursue his passion for photography.
Raghu immediately reminds him that he should focus on the family business instead of wasting time on hobbies.
Kabir respectfully says that photography is his dream and requests permission to attend the festival.
Although Raghu doesn’t openly approve, he indirectly gives his consent.
Kabir becomes overjoyed and immediately starts preparing for his Jaipur trip.
Meanwhile, Myra excitedly packs her luggage before leaving for Jaipur.
Armaan carefully checks her packing and keeps reminding her about small things she shouldn’t forget.
Watching him, Abhira smiles and teasingly calls him an “uncool dad” who worries too much.
Armaan laughs and continues giving fatherly advice to Myra.
He then asks Mukti why she isn’t travelling to Jaipur as well.
Mukti says she has badminton practice because her new coach is very strict and she cannot afford to miss training.
Abhira senses that Mukti isn’t telling the complete truth.
Later, she privately questions Mukti.
Unable to hide it anymore, Mukti admits that her coach has become extremely strict, and she wants to change her academy.
However, she doesn’t want to burden Armaan and Abhira with her problems, so she kept everything to herself.
Abhira lovingly comforts Mukti and appreciates her maturity, though she silently worries about her.
Soon, the family gathers to bid farewell to Myra.
Everyone wishes her luck for the Jaipur trip.
As Myra leaves, Armaan continues worrying about her safety.
Abhira gently reminds him that children eventually grow up and become independent.
She says they must slowly learn to let Myra make her own decisions because one day she will leave home to pursue her own dreams.
Armaan quietly agrees, though it is clear that letting go won’t be easy for him.
Elsewhere, Manisha notices Sanjay getting ready and asks whether he is planning to spend quality time with Kajal by playing pickleball.
She jokingly asks him to include her and Manoj in the booking as well.
Sanjay becomes visibly uncomfortable and doesn’t know how to respond.
Meanwhile, Manoj is seen talking to Tanya.
Krish notices them and asks whether Tanya is still single.
Sanjay immediately changes the topic and asks Manoj not to discuss Tanya in front of Krish because he knows the subject still affects him emotionally.
However, Manoj says avoiding Tanya’s name won’t erase her from Krish’s heart.
He believes Krish needs to face his emotions instead of running away from them.
Back home, Armaan once again brings up the district judge examination.
He patiently explains to Abhira that becoming a judge would allow her to deliver justice on a much larger scale.
He reminds her that she has always fought fearlessly for the truth and shouldn’t let such an opportunity slip away.
After thinking deeply about everything Armaan has said, Abhira finally softens.
She agrees to appear for the examination.
However, she clarifies that taking the exam doesn’t automatically mean she has decided to become a judge.
She simply wants to keep her options open before making such a life-changing decision.
Armaan feels immensely relieved and thanks her for trusting his belief in her abilities.
The couple then receives confirmation that Myra has safely reached Jaipur.
Both smile with relief, ending the day on a hopeful note.

Precap: Abhira comes across a false news report targeting her and Armaan. She suspects the Damanis are responsible for spreading the rumours. Just then, Mukti informs her that Armaan has suddenly gone missing and isn’t answering anyone’s calls, leaving Abhira shocked and worried.

The episode strikes a nice balance between courtroom politics, family emotions, and personal dreams. Armaan’s faith in Abhira’s potential as a future judge adds emotional depth, while Kabir’s determination to pursue photography instead of business brings a refreshing subplot. The final twist involving Armaan’s disappearance creates enough suspense to keep viewers hooked for the next episode.
