Review: Ganga Mai Ki Betiyan – Soni Gets Justice as Shivani’s Truth Is Exposed

This episode finally gives Soni the justice she has been fighting for, and the payoff to the college track is quite satisfying. After several episodes of Shivani manipulating the situation, the truth comes out at exactly the right moment.

Sneha’s handling of the protest is one of the strongest parts. Even when Indu deliberately tries to turn the peaceful demonstration violent, Sneha stays focused on Soni’s education. The moment she notices the men carrying stones and immediately protects the principal and staff proves that her protest was never about creating chaos. Paras and the other students also stepping in to catch the men strengthens her case.

The principal initially remains firm about Soni’s rustication, but the story wisely doesn’t stop there. The real breakthrough comes when Pujari and Kaali expose Shivani’s conspiracy. Their Independence Day setup makes the revelation more dramatic, especially when the video is played before everyone. Shivani’s shock and Bansal’s reaction make the scene quite impactful.

Bansal slapping Shivani is dramatic, but Sneha’s response is more meaningful. Instead of demanding revenge, she asks Shivani to publicly apologize to Soni. She also tells the media not to publish Shivani’s name or picture, which shows that Sneha wants justice rather than humiliation. That’s a nice touch and makes her stand feel mature.

The principal cancelling Soni’s rustication is the emotional payoff the track needed. Soni finally gets her education back, and giving her the opportunity to raise the flag makes the victory even more symbolic. Ganga receiving the honour of raising the flag alongside the family’s celebration gives the episode a warm ending to the college storyline.

The Siddhu-Sneha parallel is also handled beautifully. Sneha realizes that Siddhu was working behind the scenes to help Soni even though he couldn’t be physically present. Meanwhile, Sahana’s disappointment with Murli creates a sharp contrast. Siddhu’s absence still feels like support, while Murli’s presence feels like distance. That’s probably one of the more emotionally effective observations in the episode.

Kaali also gets another positive moment as Sahana acknowledges his transformation. His gradual redemption is becoming more convincing because he is actually helping people instead of merely claiming that he has changed.

However, the ending immediately opens another family conflict. After the IT raid finds no illegal money at Durgavati’s house, Sneha refuses to let the media unfairly malign her. Ironically, just when Sneha begins standing up for Durgavati, Durgavati still asks her to leave because she feels Sneha failed to support the family during the crisis.

That ending is frustrating but interesting. Sneha has finally started understanding Durgavati, yet Durgavati is still unable to completely trust her.

Overall, this is a strong payoff episode for Soni’s storyline, with a satisfying exposure, emotional family moments and a good Independence Day sequence. The Durgavati-Sneha conflict keeps the drama alive even after Soni’s victory.

Rating: 4.6/5
