Seher Hone Ko Hai 12th August 2026 Written Update: Mahid Opens Up About His Pain as Seher Decides to Help Him
The episode begins with Mahid talking to Seher about everything she had to endure to become a doctor. He reminds her that she was once forced to remain within the four walls of her home because of her strict father. Despite all those restrictions, Seher broke every barrier and completed her studies. Today, she is working as a resident doctor in one of the city’s leading hospitals, and Mahid tells her that this is a huge achievement.
Seher agrees that becoming a doctor was not easy for her. She says that every achievement came after years of hard work. She also remembers that she is Pervez’s daughter, and he never even went to school himself. He did not want her to study and tried to keep her talent hidden from the world.
However, Seher refused to accept those restrictions.
She fought against society and continued pursuing her dream. More importantly, she fulfilled the dream that her mother Kauser had for her. Unfortunately, Kauser is no longer alive to see her daughter become the doctor she always wanted her to be.
Seher admits that she sometimes becomes exhausted because of her night shifts, but she never feels frustrated with her profession. Instead, she feels fortunate whenever she gets the opportunity to treat a patient. She is proud that she managed to fulfil her mother’s dream.
Thinking about Kauser makes Seher emotional, and she walks away.
Farid’s Special Gift for Amal
Meanwhile, Farid asks Amal whether she has finished writing her work. Amal tells him that it will be completed soon.
Farid then says that he will drop her the following day.
Amal notices the parcel in his hand and asks whether he has bought something for Seher. Farid clarifies that the gift is actually for Amal.
Sultana notices the situation and starts teasing him about his choice. Farid himself is unsure whether Amal will like the gift and jokingly says that he does not have the courage to give it to her if she dislikes it.
However, Amal eventually opens the parcel and smiles after seeing the dress.
Farid assumes that she does not like it, but Amal surprises him by saying that she actually loves it. She tells him that she will wear it on a special occasion.
Mahid Finally Talks About His Pain
Mahid stops Seher and asks her not to keep hiding her emotions from him.
He knows that she is carrying immense pain inside while trying to remain strong. Seher refuses to discuss it and says that she has to leave.
Mahid encourages her to open up because talking about the pain could make her feel lighter.
Seher tells him that he already knows why she is suffering. She appreciates the flowers and books he gave her in an attempt to make her happy, but she says that nothing can replace her mother.
She finally admits that she still cannot forget the day she lost Kauser. The memory remains painful even after all these years.
Mahid understands her pain.
He reveals that he knows exactly what she is going through because he also lost his mother, Gazala. He admits that when Gazala left him, he experienced the same emptiness.
Mahid feels that he failed to save both Gazala and Kauser. He calls himself a failure and admits that he has never truly recovered from his own pain.
He also reveals why he deliberately stayed away from Seher.
Mahid knew that being around her would only bring back painful memories. He even knew that Amal was with Seher, although he deliberately avoided asking Farid about her. He tried to completely disappear from Seher’s life and stayed away from anything connected to their past.
Seher Realises How Much Mahid Still Loves Her
Seher suddenly starts connecting the pieces.
She notices that Mahid still keeps the praying beads she gave him when they first met. She also realises that Chotu remains connected to memories of her.
Mahid stopped travelling in autos and even avoided eating pizza for years because both things reminded him of Seher.
Seher understands that Mahid has been carrying their memories everywhere.
She then confronts him and asks whether he really had a panic attack because of her.
Mahid finally admits the truth.
He wanted to stay away from Seher, but he could never completely escape his feelings. Despite all his efforts, fate continued bringing them together.
Mahid confesses that he feels calmer whenever Seher is around. He says that she is both the reason behind his emotional struggle and the person who makes him feel better.
For the first time, Mahid openly laughs from his heart while talking about how Seher affects him.
However, he then tells her that he is setting her free.
Seher no longer needs to treat him or pretend to be his fiancée. He returns her hairband, signalling that he does not want her to feel bound by their past anymore.
Seher Decides to Help Mahid
After the emotional conversation, Seher immediately calls Farid and asks him to meet her as soon as possible.
She tells him that Mahid suffered a panic attack because of her and that she wants to help him overcome his trauma.
Seher is convinced that nobody understands Mahid’s pain better than she does. She believes that she may be the only person capable of helping him recover because she understands exactly what he has been carrying for all these years.
The episode ends with Seher determined to find a way to heal Mahid, even though their own complicated past continues to stand between them.

Mahid confronts Husna after discovering that she has printed the engagement invitations without taking his permission. He is about to announce that the engagement has been cancelled.
However, Seher arrives at the crucial moment and shocks everyone by declaring that the engagement is fixed.
Review
This episode is easily one of the more emotional chapters in the Mahid-Seher storyline. Instead of focusing only on their romantic equation, the episode finally explores the trauma both characters have carried since losing their mothers. Mahid’s confession about avoiding autos, pizza and even the prayer beads because they remind him of Seher gives his pain a surprisingly personal touch.
The strongest moment comes when Mahid admits that Seher is both his problem and his solution. He has spent years trying to escape their memories, yet being with her is the only thing that makes him genuinely happy. Seher’s decision to help him rather than simply walk away also gives their relationship a new direction.
The precap makes things even more interesting because Mahid appears ready to cancel the engagement, only for Seher to announce that it is going ahead. Her decision could completely change the equation between them.
