Vasudha 14th August 2026 Written Update: Santosh Outsmarts Dev. Dev’s condition worries the family. Prabhat and Chandrika tell the doctor that they will take good care of Dev. They thank the doctor. Chandrika cancels her meetings to stay with Dev. Divya asks them not to take stress. Vasudha tells that she will take care of Dev and update them about his health. Chandrika refuses to leave. Vasudha asks Chandrika to take care of Prabhat, who also needs care. Chandrika agrees and says she will come back in some time. They all leave.
Vasudha shuts the door. She calls out to Dev. Dev opens his eyes and gets up. Vasudha hugs him. She says she knows it’s a drama, but she is scared seeing his condition even in a drama. He tells that it’s good she told him everything beforehand, and they could make this plan to unite the family. The flashback shows Vasudha embracing Dev. He asks her if she is hiding something. She nods. He asks her why she is troubled.
He asks her to tell the truth. She shuts the door. She tells him that Santosh and Prabhat decided to go to Ranakpur forever, and Chandrika is scared. He asks why they want to go forever. She says she is his Dadi and she knows him well. She adds that he can’t fool her with drama. He says he isn’t doing so. She asks him to swear on her. He asks how she got to know. She tells that his eyes revealed the truth to her. She feels upset that he also lied to her.
He apologizes to her. She says she is sorry to compel him to lie. She asks him to let her go; she can’t forget Chandrika and Vasudha; she wants a change, and she will go back to Ranakpur. She adds that she won’t tell Prabhat about Dev’s drama. She says she will not take Prabhat along with her. he hugs her. He asks when she will return. She says she will call him to pick her up when she forgets the matter. She asks him to give a message to Vasudha. She tells that she loves Vasudha a lot. She cries and leaves.
Prabhat and everyone meet Santosh. Santosh asks Prabhat to stay back with Dev and take care of him. She says she will go alone. He tells that he has to take care of her. She tells that she can handle herself. He tells that they will take Dev along with them. She asks him to stay back. Prabhat stays upset with Chandrika. Santosh blesses everyone. Vasudha runs to Santosh and tells that their plan failed, Santosh left.
He asks about Prabhat. She says he didn’t leave. He tells that Santosh got to know about his drama and said she can’t stay back. She asks if she got upset. He tells that Santosh understood their good intentions and promised she will return soon. He tells that Santosh said she loves Vasudha a lot. Vasudha gets glad. He asks her to make snacks for him. She says the family doesn’t know about his drama. She goes to prepare Dalya for him. She finds Savitri missing. Savitri talks to Dinesh on the call. She refuses to return to him. She sits crying. Vasudha comes there and overhears Savitri and Dinesh’s conversation. Dinesh asks her to meet him once.
Vasudha thinks of finding out Savitri’s issue. Chandrika sees Prabhat and her pictures. She cries. Prabhat comes and scolds her for hurting Santosh’s heart. He tears the pictures. He blames her for Santosh’s leaving. She defends herself. They argue. She says she can’t risk his life on Santosh’s saying. He tells that he doesn’t regret staying away from her after being betrayed. He leaves. Vasudha overhears them and worries.
He goes to talk to Prabhat. She asks him not to punish Chandrika. She says she was also involved in the drama and she also deserves punishment. He tells that she has blind devotion towards Chandrika, just like Chandrika has towards Guru ji. He knows Chandrika and Vasudha will never understand. He leaves. She stops him. She tells that they did a drama for a reason. She defends Chandrika’s decision. He refuses to listen to her.

This episode brings a surprisingly emotional turn as the family believes Dev is seriously unwell, while Dev and Vasudha secretly use the situation to prevent Santosh and Prabhat from leaving the house.
The reveal that Dev is actually pretending to be unconscious works well because it shows that he finally understands the bigger picture. Once Vasudha tells him the truth about Chandrika’s helplessness, Guru Ji’s prediction and the fake acceptance drama, Dev chooses to support her rather than blame her. His decision to help unite the family gives Vasudha some much-needed emotional support.
The most touching part is Santosh seeing through Dev’s act. She immediately recognises that he is pretending and even points out that his eyes gave him away. Rather than exposing him to everyone, she quietly admits that she understands why he did it. Her decision to leave alone for Ranakpur, while allowing Prabhat to stay behind, is a much more mature move than expected.
Her message for Vasudha is particularly emotional. Despite everything that happened, Santosh still admits that she loves Vasudha deeply. This gives hope that their relationship may eventually heal.
