Udne Ki Aasha 17th August 2026 Written Update: Sachin and Sayali Decide to Leave the Deshmukh House, Paresh Gives Pankhudi His Fixed Deposit

The episode begins with Roshni worrying about Laksh’s future. She tells Renuka that they need to do something for Laksh because she fears Paresh may hand over his entire fixed deposit to Pankhudi. Roshni’s insecurity becomes clear as she worries that Pankhudi could receive a larger share of Paresh’s support.

Renuka, however, remains confident. She tells Roshni not to worry because she believes the situation will soon change. Renuka says that once Paresh becomes physically fit, Sachin and Sayali will leave the Deshmukh house anyway. According to her, their departure will automatically solve many of their problems.

Sachin and Sayali discover Renuka’s memory problems

Meanwhile, Sachin and Sayali notice that Renuka has been forgetting things more frequently. They become concerned about her health and realise that her forgetfulness is no longer something they can ignore.

Sachin and Sayali decide to find a way to take Renuka to a doctor. However, they know that they cannot directly tell her that they are worried about her memory because she may become suspicious or refuse to cooperate.

While they are discussing how to handle the situation, Sayali receives an important call from Pankhudi’s school.

The news immediately changes the mood.

Sayali learns that Pankhudi has been selected for a music competition. Sachin and Sayali become extremely happy and proud of her. The opportunity also reminds them that it is finally time for them to return to Ganpatiphule.

The couple begins discussing their departure from Mumbai and the Deshmukh house.

Unfortunately, Paresh overhears their conversation.

Paresh gets emotional after hearing about their departure

Paresh becomes deeply emotional when he realises that Sachin, Sayali and Pankhudi are preparing to leave.

Although he understands that they have every reason to return to Ganpatiphule, the thought of losing their daily presence in the Deshmukh house hurts him deeply.

Paresh knows how much Sachin and Sayali have endured during their time with the family. He also understands the emotional bond that has developed between Pankhudi and the other children.

The news therefore becomes bittersweet for him.

On one hand, Paresh knows Sachin and Sayali deserve to live peacefully. On the other hand, he does not want them to move so far away that the family becomes distant again.

Arya and Pankhudi share a beautiful moment

Elsewhere, Arya and Pankhudi enjoy a sweet moment together.

The two children decide to make a rocket using cardboard. Their innocent creativity turns into a lovely bonding moment as they happily work on their little project.

Akash secretly records the adorable moment.

He later sends the video to Riya, hoping that she will enjoy seeing the children together.

However, the video has the opposite effect on Riya.

Instead of simply feeling happy, Riya becomes anxious. Seeing Pankhudi happily bonding with everyone makes her think about what will happen to Pankhudi once Sachin and Sayali leave the house.

Riya begins worrying about the changes that could soon take place in the family.

Paresh announces Sachin and Sayali’s departure

Eventually, Paresh decides that the matter cannot remain unresolved.

He calls the entire Deshmukh family together and makes an important announcement.

Paresh tells everyone that Sachin, Sayali and Pankhudi will be leaving the Deshmukh house.

The announcement immediately affects everyone differently.

Renuka and Roshni feel relieved. Their biggest concern was that Sachin and Sayali would continue staying in the house and that Pankhudi would receive more attention and financial support.

Paresh, however, has another important decision to make.

He wants to ensure that Pankhudi remains financially secure even after leaving the house.

Paresh gives his fixed deposit to Pankhudi

Paresh then takes a major step.

He decides to hand over his fixed deposit to Pankhudi.

His decision shows how deeply he cares about the child and wants to secure her future. Paresh does not want Pankhudi’s departure from the Deshmukh house to affect her future in any way.

Roshni’s biggest fear therefore comes true.

She had already worried that Paresh might give his savings to Pankhudi, and now he has actually made the decision.

While the adults process Paresh’s decision, the children are dealing with a completely different emotion.

Laksh and Arya struggle to accept Pankhudi’s departure

Laksh and Arya become heartbroken after learning that Pankhudi will no longer stay with them.

For the children, this is not about money or family disputes. Pankhudi has become their friend and an important part of their daily lives.

Laksh is especially affected.

Unable to control his emotions, he tightly hugs Sayali and requests her not to leave the house.

The emotional moment touches everyone.

Laksh’s attachment to Sayali also makes Roshni uncomfortable. She becomes increasingly insecure when she sees how naturally Laksh has bonded with Sayali.

Roshni has been worried about losing Laksh’s affection, and seeing him become emotional over Sayali only increases her fear.

Sachin promises to stay connected

Sachin notices how upset everyone has become.

He reassures the family that leaving the Deshmukh house does not mean they will disappear from their lives. He promises that they will continue visiting the house and remain connected with everyone.

Sayali also agrees to Paresh’s request that they keep coming back.

However, the emotional goodbye is still difficult for the children.

Arya becomes emotional as she realises that she will miss Pankhudi. Their little moments together, including their cardboard rocket project, have created a special bond between them.

Pankhudi too is caught between excitement about her music competition and sadness about leaving behind the people she has grown close to.

The episode ends with the Deshmukh family facing the reality of a major change. Sachin, Sayali and Pankhudi are preparing to leave, while Paresh and the children struggle to accept their departure.

Precap

In the upcoming episode, Sachin, Sayali and Pankhudi prepare to leave the Deshmukh house. The family finds it difficult to deal with the emotional separation, while the children continue to struggle with the thought of losing Pankhudi from their daily lives.

Our Take

This episode brings a surprisingly emotional turn to the Deshmukh family track. The biggest development is Paresh finally announcing that Sachin, Sayali and Pankhudi will leave the house. After everything that has happened, their departure feels inevitable, but the emotional reactions of the family members show that their presence has become much more important than anyone wants to admit.

Paresh’s decision to give his fixed deposit to Pankhudi is particularly significant. Roshni’s insecurity has been building for some time, and this decision gives her another reason to feel threatened. However, Paresh’s motivation is not about choosing one family member over another; he simply wants to make sure Pankhudi has a secure future.

The most touching part of the episode is Laksh’s reaction. His tight hug and request to Sayali not to leave show how deeply attached he has become to her. It also exposes Roshni’s insecurity even further. She can see that Laksh has formed a genuine emotional connection with Sayali, something she cannot control through rules or restrictions.

The bond between Arya and Pankhudi is equally sweet. Their cardboard rocket sequence gives the episode some innocence amid all the family tension and makes their upcoming separation more emotional.

Sachin and Sayali’s decision to return to Ganpatiphule also feels like a natural step. They have spent enough time dealing with family conflicts, and the opportunity for Pankhudi’s music competition gives them a positive reason to move forward.

However, their departure may not bring the peace Renuka and Roshni are expecting. The emotional attachment between the children and Sachin-Sayali could keep bringing the two sides together. Moreover, Renuka’s increasing forgetfulness remains an important concern that has not yet been properly addressed.

Overall, the episode balances family conflict, emotional relationships and a major transition well. The upcoming farewell could become even more emotional, especially if Laksh and Arya struggle to let Pankhudi go.

Rating: 4.3/5
