Vasudha 18th August 2026 Written Update: Chandrika’s Dark Past Returns. Mystery Woman Haunts Her in Terrifying Nightmare. Dev tells Vasudha that Dinesh is a sincere man. Dinesh refuses to give the money since it belongs to his boss. The police van arrives. The goons flee. Dev tells Vasudha that Dinesh has protected the money. She says it means Dinesh might be a good person. She thinks of telling Chandrika about Savitri’s past returning. She wants Savitri and Dinesh to unite. She goes to Chandrika. Chandrika asks why she looks worried. Vasudha tells her that Savitri’s husband, Dinesh, has come back. Chandrika asks if Savitri knows about it.
Vasudha tells her everything. Chandrika fumes. She says Dinesh is a coward and an evil person. She asks Vasudha to kick Dinesh out of the factory. She can’t tolerate him. Vasudha asks her to calm down. She says Divya and Dev are taking Dinesh’s test, and maybe Dinesh has reformed and is regretting his evil deeds. She asks Chandrika to give a chance to Dinesh. Chandrika tells that she knows Dinesh and he is a bad person. Vasudha tells that she will take Dinesh’s test before asking Savitri to consider him.
Chandrika asks Vasudha to take multiple tests before giving him a clean chit. She says if anything wrong happens to Savitri, then Vasudha will be responsible. Vasudha asks her not to worry. Dinesh comes to the factory. He tells Divya that he did the work. She asks him how he got hurt. He tells that he is okay. He goes to the lawn and sits to have food. Vasudha comes there with Savitri. Dinesh eats the chilli and coughs.
He looks for water. Savitri runs to get water for him. Vasudha asks her not to take water for him. She says he did wrong and he should suffer. Savitri tells that she is doing this for the sake of humanity. She asks Dinesh to have water. Divya comes there. She tells Vasudha that Savitri has feelings for Dinesh, and once everything gets cleared, Savitri will forgive him. Dinesh drinks the water and thanks Savitri.
Divya believes Dinesh is a good man. She wants Savitri to get happiness in her life. She gets Avinash’s call. She tells him about Savitri’s husband returning to her life. Avinash tells that he will be happy if Savitri unites with Dinesh. She hopes Dinesh passes their test. She asks him to come home soon. Later, Chandrika calls Vasudha and does her aarti. She says she has realised the truth: Vasudha is the shield of her family, so she wants to accept her as her Bahu. Prabhat is glad to see this. He slips off the stairs and falls.
They get shocked and shout. Chandrika asks Vasudha to get away from Prabhat. This turns out to be Vasudha’s nightmare. She wakes up and prays for Prabhat. She hugs Dev and cries. Dev wakes up and asks her what happened. Vasudha asks her if he will live without her if she goes away from him. He tells that she is his life and he can’t live without her; he won’t let her go anywhere. She hugs him. She thinks about what will happen to Dev when she leaves the house for one year. She wants to protect Prabhat’s life.
Savitri comes to Hanumant’s house. She finds Dinesh struggling in cold weather. She covers him with a blanket. Dinesh wakes up and stops her. She tells that she would never get back to him. He asks why she cares for him. She tells that she is doing this for the sake of humanity. He expresses his love to her. He apologizes to her. She doesn’t want to believe him. Chandrika gets the same nightmare.
She hears the woman cursing her. She wakes up. She calls someone and says her past is coming in front of her eyes; she didn’t tell Prabhat and family about it, but she isn’t able to forget the past. The next morning, Divya seeks help from the factory workers. She tells her plan. She wants to know Savitri’s feelings for Dinesh and whether he is really sorry for his actions. Dinesh comes and greets her. Savitri comes there. Janki collides with Dinesh and creates a scene. Everyone starts blaming Dinesh. Dinesh worries and apologizes.
Janki asks Divya to call the police. Savitri stops them. She defends Dinesh and asks them not to tell him anything. Divya smiles. Janki apologizes to Dinesh. Divya asks them to continue their work. Later at night, Hanumant gets alcohol. He asks Dinesh to come and have a drink. He tells that he has much sorrow in his life, though everyone thinks he is at peace. Dinesh tells that he can’t drink, since he has quit alcohol. He advises Hanumant not to have alcohol. Vasudha comes and asks Hanumant why he started drinking.
Dinesh makes an excuse to save Hanumant. He takes the blame on himself and leaves. Vasudha tells Hanumant that Dinesh took the blame on himself. They go to Dev and tell him that Dinesh has passed the test. They feel Dinesh has changed. They ask Savitri to give a chance to Dinesh if she wants. Dinesh looks on and smiles. He drinks the alcohol. He laughs that he has fooled them into believing his act.
The next morning, Vasudha comes to meet Chandrika. She says she wants to ask something about Dinesh. She asks Chandrika to forgive Dinesh. Chandrika tells that Dinesh is a monster; he has ruined Savitri’s life, and she can never forgive him. Vasudha finds Chandrika suffering from fever. Chandrika says it might be a viral fever. Vasudha asks her if she is worried about something.
Chandrika asks her not to worry. Vasudha leaves. Chandrika thinks Vasudha knows her well, but she can’t share her past with anyone. Divya meets Savitri. She asks Savitri about her marriage. Savitri tells that they aren’t divorced, but their marriage has ended in her heart. She doesn’t want to trust Dinesh. Divya asks her to follow her heart. Vasudha tells Hanumant that she wants to leave for the exile. He worries.
Vasudha 18th August 2026 Written Update Review
This episode keeps two major tracks moving forward: Dinesh’s attempt to win back Savitri and Vasudha’s growing determination to sacrifice her relationship with Dev for Prabhat’s safety.
Dinesh initially appears to pass another important test when he refuses to hand over his boss’s money to the goons, even when he is beaten up. Dev is impressed by his sincerity, and Vasudha begins wondering whether Dinesh has genuinely changed. She decides that perhaps Savitri deserves another chance at happiness.
However, Chandrika strongly disagrees. The moment Vasudha tells her that Dinesh has returned, Chandrika becomes furious and calls him a coward and an evil person. She warns Vasudha not to trust him easily. Still, Vasudha remains determined to test Dinesh herself before making any decision about Savitri’s future.
The emotional scenes between Savitri and Dinesh add another layer to the track. When Dinesh struggles in the cold, Savitri instinctively covers him with a blanket despite insisting that she will never return to him. She claims she is only helping him out of humanity, but her actions suggest that her feelings are far from completely gone.
Divya also believes that Dinesh may genuinely be sorry for his past mistakes. She and Vasudha therefore continue testing him, hoping that he has truly changed. Even Hanumant’s alcohol test appears to work in Dinesh’s favour when he refuses to drink and advises Hanumant to quit alcohol. He even takes the blame to protect Hanumant.
For a moment, everyone believes Dinesh has passed the test.
But the audience gets to see the truth that the family doesn’t know. Dinesh secretly drinks alcohol and laughs at how successfully he has fooled everyone. This revelation completely changes the track. While Vasudha and the others are preparing to give him another chance, Dinesh is actually continuing his deception.
The bigger mystery, however, remains Chandrika’s past.
Her terrifying nightmare returns, with the mysterious woman once again cursing her. Chandrika finally admits that something from her past is coming back to haunt her. She reveals that she never told Prabhat or the family about this past, but she still cannot forget it.
This could explain why Chandrika has been so fearful and emotionally conflicted throughout the entire Vasudha track. The mystery surrounding the woman in her nightmares is becoming increasingly important.
Meanwhile, Vasudha’s own emotional journey reaches another crucial point. After seeing the nightmare in which Prabhat dies when Chandrika accepts her, she becomes even more convinced that she must protect him at any cost.
She finally tells Hanumant that she wants to leave for the exile.
This is perhaps the biggest emotional development of the episode. Vasudha knows that leaving Dev for an entire year could destroy her own happiness, especially after Dev tells her that he cannot live without her. Yet she is prepared to make that sacrifice if it can save Prabhat and eventually allow Chandrika to accept her without fear.
The episode therefore ends with two major secrets hanging over the family: Dinesh is secretly deceiving everyone, while Vasudha is preparing to disappear from Dev’s life for a year.
The story is now heading toward a major emotional separation, while Chandrika’s mysterious past could add another unexpected twist.
