Tum Dena Saath Mera 19th August 2026 Written Update: Rakshit Agrees to Marry Ira, Leaving Aparajita Shocked
The 19th August 2026 episode of Tum Dena Saath Mera brings a major twist in Rakshit and Aparajita’s relationship as Sudha emotionally pressures Rakshit into agreeing to marry Ira. Meanwhile, Aparajita overhears the conversation and is left stunned by Rakshit’s decision. The episode also highlights Sudha’s growing determination to keep Aparajita away from her son.
The episode begins with the electricity suddenly going off at the office. The employees worry about how they will continue working in the darkness. Rakshit decides to check the fuse and goes to fix the problem. At the same time, Sheela tells Ira to stay close to Rakshit.
Sudha notices that Sheela is tense and asks her what is troubling her. Sheela explains that they had planned to emotionally blackmail Rakshit when he returned home. However, she is worried because Rakshit may not return tonight and could remain at the office with Aparajita.
Sudha tells Sheela that Rakshit is simply working at the office and that she is taking food for him. Sheela becomes happy after hearing this and hugs Sudha. She then asks Sudha to pretend to be sick in front of everyone so that Rakshit can be emotionally pressured.
Sudha refuses to participate in the plan and leaves.
Meanwhile, Aparajita helps Rakshit by holding a torch while he works on the fuse. She quietly admires him as he tries to restore the electricity. Suddenly, Aparajita is about to step on a live wire without realizing the danger.
Rakshit immediately saves her.
The electricity comes back, and Aparajita happily claps and thanks Rakshit. However, she mistakenly assumes that Rakshit is holding her dupatta and asks him to let it go. When she turns around, she realizes what actually happened. Her dupatta has fallen over Rakshit’s head, creating an awkward and amusing moment.
Sudha, Sheela and Arvind witness the scene.
Soon, Malti arrives at the office along with Ramgopal and Rashmi. Malti approaches Sudha and apologizes for slapping her earlier. She admits that she should never have raised her hand against Sudha and says that she will regret doing so forever.
However, Sudha is still angry.
She tells Malti that if she genuinely regrets what happened, then Aparajita would not be working at the Bharadwaj office that day. Sudha firmly believes that Aparajita is deliberately playing games with Rakshit. She declares that she will not allow her son to get trapped and vows to put an end to Aparajita’s game.
Sudha then walks inside.
Malti turns towards Rashmi and asks her to give food to Rakshit and Aparajita. She says that she does not want to hurt Sudha further by staying in front of her. Malti then asks Ramgopal to support Aparajita before leaving.
Sudha later reaches Rakshit with food and tells him that she brought it especially for him. Ramgopal also arrives with food for everyone and says that he will stay back and help with the work.
Arvind decides to help as well. Aparajita takes Arvind and Ramgopal along with her so that they can continue working.
Sudha asks Rakshit and Ira to come to the cabin. Ira tells Rakshit that he should stop Arvind from interfering. Rakshit smiles and says that he cannot stop Arvind when he is so happy to help everyone.
Ramgopal jokingly says that Arvind’s eyesight may still be perfect, but his own eyesight has become blurry. Arvind responds that it is actually his mind that has become blurry, which is why he has forgotten so many things.
The light-hearted conversation makes everyone laugh.
Ramgopal then brings up the incident that happened during the puja. He says that Malti made a mistake that day. Arvind adds that Sudha should also not have said those things to Malti.
Ramgopal then praises Aparajita and says that she is lucky because Rakshit loves her. Arvind goes a step further and says that Aparajita has also started loving Rakshit.
Ramgopal says that even if that is true, it may already be too late.
Arvind, however, remains hopeful. He says that one day Rakshit and Aparajita will definitely become one.
Meanwhile, Rashmi brings food to Aparajita. She tells her that Malti specially prepared crispy ladyfingers for Rakshit. Aparajita says that she will give the dish to Rakshit herself.
At the same time, Sheela urges Sudha to execute their plan.
Sudha decides to speak to Rakshit directly about marriage. She approaches him and begins discussing Ira.
Aparajita happens to overhear their conversation.
Sudha tells Rakshit that he should get married. She praises Ira and says that she is worthy of becoming the daughter-in-law of the Bharadwaj family. Sudha then emotionally appeals to Rakshit by asking him to consider it her last wish.
She asks whether he cannot fulfil this one wish for her.
Rakshit is caught in an emotional dilemma. He eventually agrees to fulfil his mother’s wish.
Aparajita is left completely shocked after hearing Rakshit agree to marry Ira.
Rakshit then asks Sudha to give him the ring.
The decision creates a major turning point in the story. Rakshit appears to be agreeing because of the emotional pressure from his mother, but Aparajita does not know what is actually going on in his mind. With Ira now moving closer to Rakshit and Aparajita already emotionally attached to him, the situation is bound to become more complicated.

Our Take
This episode does a good job of pushing the Rakshit-Aparajita track into a new phase. The biggest highlight is Rakshit agreeing to marry Ira after Sudha emotionally appeals to him. Aparajita overhearing the conversation makes the moment even more impactful because she has already started believing that Rakshit feels the same way about her.
The office sequence also adds some lighter moments before the episode moves into the serious marriage twist. The emotional conflict between Sudha, Aparajita and Rakshit remains the strongest part of the episode, while the upcoming revelation about what Sudha said regarding Aparajita and Aradhya could further change Rakshit’s perspective.
The episode ends on a strong cliffhanger, although Rakshit’s quick agreement to the marriage proposal feels slightly convenient. Still, the drama surrounding the triangle keeps the track engaging.
