Vasudha 19th August 2026 Written Update: Chandrika’s Mundwa Mystery Deepens. Hanumant tells Vasudha that she won’t go anywhere. She asks him to understand; she needs to go for the family’s well-being. She asks her to go and ask Dev first. He wants her to take permission from her in-laws. He says he can’t lie to Dev. She says she can’t tell anything to Dev. He tells that she must live in her Sasural. He goes. She worries that she has failed to convince him. Prabhat finds Chandrika suffering from fever.
He asks her to get well soon. She tells that she will be fine soon. She asks him to sleep in the guest room, or else he will catch the viral fever. Vasudha comes and says she will stay with Chandrika and take care of her. She asks him to take medicines and rest in Dev’s room. She gets kada for Chandrika. Chandrika asks her to go. Vasudha says she wants to stay back and take care of Chandrika. Chandrika permits her to stay. Vasudha smiles and thanks her. Prabhat asks her to call him if she needs anything. He leaves.
Dev waits for Vasudha. Prabhat comes there. Dev acts as if sleeping, thinking Vasudha has come to the room. He sees Prabhat and gets up. He asks why he came to sleep in his room. Prabhat doesn’t tell him that Chandrika is unwell. He tells that Vasudha will be sleeping in Chandrika’s room today. He asks Dev to sleep. Dev wonders what’s going on. Sarika sees Savitri and taunts her. Savitri leaves. Dinesh is at the liquor shop. He argues with the shop owner. He says he will get the money and pay the loan. He admits his plans.
Prabhat snores. Dev stays awake. He misses Vasudha. He is upset that she didn’t come to meet him. He goes to meet Vasudha. Vasudha takes care of Chandrika. Dev comes there. He asks Vasudha to come with him. They leave the room while Chandrika is sleeping. He asks her to just come with him. He takes her to the lawn and shows his beautiful surprise. He doesn’t let her go. He plays music, and they dance. They share a romantic moment. He embraces her and smiles. Chandrika gets the same nightmare.
Dev tells Vasudha that he can’t live without her. She tells that she has to go and take care of Chandrika, who is suffering from fever. Dev worries about Chandrika. He asks her to go and take care of Chandrika. Vasudha comes to Chandrika’s room. She finds Chandrika restless and asks her if she can hear her voice. She asks Chandrika to open her eyes. She shouts to call Dev and Prabhat. Everyone comes there.
They ask Chandrika to wake up. Chandrika wakes up and sees everyone. Dev asks her if she is okay. Divya tells that she will call a doctor. Chandrika says she just had a nightmare; she is okay. The next morning, Vasudha asks Savitri to make less oily food for Chandrika. Chandrika comes and says she is okay now. She prepares coffee. Vasudha asks her why she was taking Mundwa village’s name during sleep. Chandrika is shocked. She drops the coffee jar. Vasudha asks if she is okay. Chandrika says yes. Vasudha apologizes.
Chandrika asks her to get the mess cleared. She goes. Vasudha doubts her. Dinesh gets Gajra for Savitri. He asks her to accept it. Savitri doesn’t want to believe him. Dinesh is determined to convince her. Vasudha finds Savitri in a big dilemma. She asks Savitri to ask her heart what she wants to do. Savitri tells that she isn’t able to believe Dinesh because of his past mistakes. Vasudha tells that time will show her the true face of Dinesh.
Chandrika comes to her room. Prabhat asks her to rest. He asks her why she is worried. She tells that she is okay. He asks her if she is hiding something from him. She says no. She doesn’t want to tell him anything. Vasudha wants to fix things before she leaves for the exile. She is stressed thinking about Dev.
She calls Guru ji. She asks him if he knows anything Mundwa, and how is Chandrika related to it. He tells that she will get all her answers when she leaves home for the exile. She asks him if she left without telling Dev, then she can’t keep the fast with devotion if Dev is in pain. She asks if she can tell Dev about her leaving. He tells that if she tells Dev, then she has to tell the entire family; if they bless her and permit her to go, then she can tell them. He adds that she has less time to decide. She says she will leave soon.
Divya comes and asks Vasudha why she asked Savitri to take more time to decide about Dinesh. Vasudha tells that it’s Savitri’s life and she will decide about it. She wants to test Dinesh. Divya disagrees. Vasudha tells that she has a plan and she wants Divya’s help. She asks Divya to give the saree to Dinesh and ask him to gift it to Savitri. Divya asks what it will prove. Vasudha asks her to just do it. Divya leaves.
She goes to the factory and meets Dinesh. She tells that she is glad to see his efforts. She gives a saree and asks him to gift it to Savitri. He says it’s costly and he can’t take it. She asks if she can’t help him. He agrees. Vasudha comes to meet Dev. Dev plays guitar. He tells that Avinash is coming next week, and he is planning a surprise for him. She says maybe she won’t be there to welcome Avinash.
Dev asks where she is going. She tells that she has to stay away from the family for one year. He asks who asked her to do this. She tells about Guru ji’s words. He is shocked. He tells that he can’t permit her to go away from him. He says she is his wife and he has accepted her, and it should be enough for her.
She asks him to understand. He gets upset. She tells that Chandrika can never accept her until Prabhat’s life is in risk. She doesn’t want to start her marital relationship unless Chandrika accepts her. She asks Dev to permit her to leave. He asks her not to ask him if she has already decided. She tells that she can’t leave until he blesses her. He refuses. He asks her to stay back, since he will never let her go away.

This episode takes Vasudha’s sacrifice track to an emotional high point as she finally tells Dev about her plan to leave the Chauhan house for a year.
The episode begins with Hanumant refusing to let Vasudha leave. He asks her to first seek Dev’s permission and reminds her that she cannot simply disappear from her Sasural. Vasudha is worried because she knows telling Dev the truth could make her sacrifice impossible.
Meanwhile, Chandrika continues to struggle with her mysterious past. She suffers another frightening nightmare while Vasudha stays beside her and takes care of her fever. The contrast is interesting—Vasudha is preparing to leave the family for Chandrika’s sake, while Chandrika remains unaware of the sacrifice Vasudha is planning.
Dev, meanwhile, misses Vasudha terribly. His surprise romantic moment with her in the lawn is one of the episode’s sweetest scenes. He tells her that he cannot live without her, while Vasudha silently carries the knowledge that she may soon have to leave him for an entire year. That emotional contradiction makes their scenes particularly effective.
The Mundwa mystery also moves forward. When Vasudha asks Chandrika why she was taking the village’s name in her sleep, Chandrika immediately becomes nervous and drops the coffee jar. She refuses to explain, which only makes Vasudha more suspicious. Guru Ji later tells Vasudha that she will get all her answers when she leaves for the exile, keeping the mystery intact.
The Savitri-Dinesh track continues alongside this. Vasudha refuses to rush Savitri into forgiving Dinesh and wants to test him further. Her plan involving the saree is designed to understand whether Dinesh genuinely wants to make Savitri happy or is simply pretending. It shows Vasudha trying to make a careful decision rather than blindly trusting his apparent transformation.
But the biggest moment arrives when Vasudha finally tells Dev the truth.
She explains that Guru Ji has instructed her to stay away from the Chauhan family for one year if she wants Chandrika to eventually accept her and Prabhat to remain safe. Dev is stunned and immediately refuses to give her permission.
His argument is heartbreaking but understandable. He tells Vasudha that he has accepted her as his wife, and he cannot understand why she needs to leave him to prove anything. Vasudha explains that she cannot begin her married life while Chandrika continues to fear that accepting her could endanger Prabhat.
She asks Dev to bless her before leaving.
But Dev refuses.

Overall, this was a strong emotional episode. The Dev-Vasudha confrontation gives the track genuine weight, while Chandrika’s hidden past and Dinesh’s suspicious behaviour keep the story moving on multiple fronts.
