Seher Hone Ko Hai 20th August 2026 Written Update: Nazima Exposes Husna’s Plan, Seher Stunned
The 20th August 2026 episode of Seher Hone Ko Hai takes Seher and Mahid’s fake engagement track forward while Husna continues trying to humiliate Seher and create problems for her. Meanwhile, a shocking revelation from Nazima leaves Seher stunned as she learns that Husna may be behind the latest conspiracy against Mahid.
The episode begins with Husna humiliating Seher by questioning Kausar’s upbringing. She makes insulting remarks about Seher’s background and tries to demean her in front of everyone.
Seher cannot tolerate Husna bringing her mother into the argument.
She gives Husna a fitting reply and makes it clear that she will not silently accept such insults. Husna is left speechless after Seher’s response.
However, Husna refuses to back down.
She deliberately creates a scene so that the guests notice the argument. She tries to manipulate everyone against Seher and make it appear as though Seher is the one creating problems.
Seher, meanwhile, thinks that she has no reason to keep tolerating Husna’s behaviour.
She reminds herself that Husna is not actually her mother-in-law because her engagement with Mahid is only fake. Insha overhears Seher’s conversation
Elsewhere, Insha is teaching the madrasa students when she hears Seher speaking on the phone.
She secretly listens to the conversation.
Seher learns from the receptionist that Farid is currently in the OT. She instructs the receptionist to give Mahid’s report to Farid once his surgery is over.
Insha immediately becomes curious.
She wonders what has happened to Mahid and why Seher is so concerned about his reports.
Meanwhile, Mahid is busy painting the bench for the madrasa students.
As he works, he remembers Kaiz and Haider’s words. He realises that he keeps getting lost in thoughts of Seher.
Despite everything going on around him, Mahid decides to finish the work.
Seher asks Mahid to help with the engagement
Seher arrives to meet Mahid.
She tells him that she needs him to check the engagement arrangements.
Mahid refuses.
He tells Seher that he is busy and does not have time to check the arrangements.
Seher tries to persuade him to come with her because she needs to finish everything quickly.
Mahid remains firm.
He reminds Seher that the engagement is fake, so there is no point in worrying so much about the arrangements. For him, completing his work is more important.
Seher tells him that she can understand his point, but Sultana has given her only two days’ leave to handle the engagement preparations.
Mahid asks why she needs his help when Sultana is the one who granted her leave.
Seher explains that Sultana is giving her special treatment because she is the Mufti’s fiancée. She is already dealing with several problems, including an inquiry against her before the medical board.
Seher tells Mahid that he is not under the same kind of pressure.
She has to answer everyone, while he does not.
She therefore requests him to help her.
Mahid and Seher’s playful painting moment
Seher then asks Mahid to take a picture of her.
She wants to send the photograph to Sultana as proof that she is selecting ornaments for the engagement.
Mahid teases her.
Instead of continuing to argue, Seher joins him in painting the bench.
Soon, the situation becomes playful.
Mahid tells Seher that she is ruining the bench.
Seher responds by throwing paint at him.
The two end up playing with the paint, forgetting their worries for a while.
However, Seher accidentally throws paint on Insha as well.
Neither Seher nor Mahid notices her.

Nazima makes a shocking confession
Meanwhile, Amal meets Sanaya.
Sanaya asks her about the recommendation letter.
Amal feels uncomfortable because she does not want to take advantage of Mahid.
She wonders what Mahid and Seher would think if they found out.
Amal ultimately lies to Sanaya and tells her that she could not bring the recommendation letter.
She decides to let the matter go for now and promises herself that she will try to publish her work another time.
Sanaya is left helpless.
Husna becomes angry with her for failing to convince Amal.
She decides that she will find another way to trap Amal.
Back with Seher and Mahid, Seher suddenly senses that someone is nearby.
She alerts Mahid.
Mahid holds her hand and runs away with her.
The moment reminds both of them of their past and creates a nostalgic feeling between them.
Seher meets Nazima secretly
Meanwhile, Rasheeda gives some clothes to Nazima, who is hiding inside a storeroom.
The two hear a sound and immediately become alert.
Mahid asks Seher to hide while he goes to investigate.
He confronts Rasheeda.
Rasheeda quickly comes up with an explanation and lies to him.
Seher, meanwhile, enters the storeroom and comes face-to-face with Nazima.
She asks Nazima why she is hiding there.
Nazima stops her and requests Seher to listen to her explanation before making any judgment.
Nazima asks Seher to speak to Mahid.
She admits that she has made many mistakes in the past and knows that Mahid may not trust her.
However, Nazima insists that she did not poison Mahid this time.
Seher is shocked by her confession.
Nazima appears desperate to make Seher understand that there is another person behind the current conspiracy.
The episode ends with the mystery deepening.

Review
This episode brings a nice balance between family drama, romance and the ongoing mystery. The argument between Seher and Husna is particularly effective because Seher finally refuses to silently accept insults against Kausar.
The most enjoyable portion is undoubtedly Seher and Mahid’s paint sequence. Their playful chemistry provides a welcome break from the constant tension surrounding their fake engagement.
However, the biggest development comes at the end. Nazima’s confession changes the direction of the track completely. If Husna really is behind the conspiracy against Mahid, Seher is now in a position to uncover a much bigger truth.
The upcoming revelation should also put Seher in a difficult position because exposing Husna could completely change the dynamics of Mahid’s engagement and the entire family.
