Sairaab 21st August 2026 Written Update: Nayanika And Ishaan Part Ways, A New Person Leaves Ishaan Heartbroken

The 21st August 2026 episode of Sairaab brings a deeply emotional turn in Nayanika and Ishaan’s relationship. While the family gathers for a special celebration, Nayanika continues to feel like an outsider. Meanwhile, Ishaan decides to leave Kolkata and believes that he no longer has any right over Nayanika. However, the precap introduces a major misunderstanding when Ishaan sees Nayanika accepting a bouquet from someone and assumes that she has moved on with another person.

The episode begins with Indrani getting surprised after seeing the decorations at home.

She immediately asks Shreya who is coming and why the house has been decorated so beautifully.

Shreya says that she has a demand of her own. According to her, life is short and everyone deserves to live happily, so the family should make the most of their special moments.

Akash becomes curious and asks Shreya what exactly is happening, especially since everyone is already present.

Ujjaini points out that one person is missing, but she quickly dismisses it as unimportant.

Jaya explains that Nayanika will be late because there is a programme at the hospital.

Indrani takes the opportunity to taunt Nayanika. She sarcastically says that perhaps Nayanika does not tell her anything because she considers her an enemy.

Jaya immediately reminds Indrani that Nayanika is no longer part of the family, so there is no reason for Indrani to worry about what she is doing.

Shreya then reveals that she has invited Neil and Angana as well.

She promises that she will reveal the reason for the celebration once they arrive.

Indrani’s husband becomes curious and asks Shreya to stop creating suspense and reveal the surprise.

Soon, Neil and Angana arrive.

Neil jokes that he has started getting scared whenever he receives a call from home because he never knows what surprise is waiting for him.

Shreya then reveals the reason behind the decorations.

She reminds everyone that Indrani and her husband have completed 50 years of marriage.

The family applauds and celebrates the milestone.

Neil admits that he had completely forgotten about the anniversary. Akash immediately says that such a major occasion deserves to be celebrated properly.

Jaya then asks Shreya whether she is planning to invite Nayanika.

Ujjaini makes it clear that she will not attend the celebration if Nayanika comes.

Just then, Nayanika arrives.

Indrani sarcastically remarks that these days there seem to be celebrations even at the hospital.

Jaya asks Nayanika about the programme.

Nayanika explains that the hospital management had organised a special programme for Ishaan and every employee was expected to attend. That is why she had remained at the hospital.

Ujjaini uses the opportunity to point out that Nayanika has missed previous family programmes as well.

Mini tells Nayanika that they were discussing family functions and asks her to join them.

Romeo also invites Nayanika to be part of the celebration.

But Indrani stops them.

Nayanika calmly says that she is already trying to find a place where she can stay as soon as possible.

Shreya taunts her by reminding her that they are family members, unlike Nayanika.

Angana tells Nayanika that she still has time to change things.

Nayanika responds that Ujjaini does not want to live with her and that she cannot force anyone to accept her. She further says that she no longer has a relationship with the others either.

She then quietly goes inside.

The emotional distance between Nayanika and the family becomes even more apparent.

The next day, the story shifts to the hospital.

A nurse brings a file to Ishaan. The senior doctor also gives Ishaan a bouquet.

Ishaan says that he wants to focus on his shows.

Nayanika approaches him with the file and begins explaining the details.

But Ishaan deliberately ignores her.

Instead, he starts speaking to Bishu.

Nayanika is deeply hurt by his behaviour.

She tries to remain professional and asks Bishu to make sure that Ishaan receives throat treatment in Mumbai.

Bishu, however, says that before worrying about Ishaan’s treatment, they should think about his marriage.

Ishaan tells Bishu that they are getting late.

At the same time, Ishaan is dealing with his own emotions.

He thinks that he does not want to meet Nayanika again because he no longer has any right over her.

The thought of separating from her clearly hurts him, but he feels that staying around her would only make things more complicated.

Nayanika also reaches a painful conclusion.

She thinks that perhaps she will never meet Ishaan again.

Despite everything, she hopes that Ishaan settles down and finds happiness in life.

The thought overwhelms her and she begins crying.

Ishaan eventually leaves.

Sunidhi notices Nayanika’s emotional state and tells her to go home and rest.

Nayanika receives permission to leave the hospital.

Instead of going home immediately, she gets into a cab and heads toward the riverside.

Meanwhile, Ishaan continues thinking about leaving.

He decides that he will never return to Kolkata.

Yet before leaving everything behind, he wants to experience those memories one last time.

The episode ends with both Nayanika and Ishaan emotionally caught between their past and the future they believe they must now choose.

Sairaab 21st August 2026 Precap

The precap introduces a major misunderstanding.

Ishaan sees Nayanika accepting a bouquet from someone.

The sight immediately affects him.

Ishaan assumes that Nayanika has found someone else and believes that this may be the reason she left him.

The misunderstanding could push Ishaan even further away from Nayanika at a time when both are already struggling with their emotions.

Sairaab 21st August 2026 Review

This episode is heavily driven by the emotional distance between Nayanika and Ishaan. Both characters appear to be trying to move forward, but neither has truly let go of what they feel.

Nayanika’s treatment at the family celebration is particularly painful. She does not demand to be accepted back into the family; instead, she quietly acknowledges that she no longer has a place there. Her decision to find another place to stay shows how isolated she feels.

The hospital sequence is even more emotional because Nayanika tries to remain professional around Ishaan while he deliberately avoids engaging with her. Both are clearly hurting, but their pride and circumstances prevent them from speaking honestly.

Ishaan’s decision to leave Kolkata is a major development, although his desire to revisit their memories one last time suggests that he is not emotionally ready to let Nayanika go.

The bouquet in the precap could make everything worse. Ishaan is already convinced that he has lost his right over Nayanika, and seeing her accept flowers from another person may make him believe that she has moved on.

Rating: 4.5/5

Sometimes two people walk away not because their hearts have changed, but because they misunderstand what the other heart is still waiting to hear.
