Udne Ki Aasha 23rd August 2026 Written Update: Sayali Feels Like an Outsider as Roshni Turns Jealous

The episode begins with Sayali happily spending time with the children and fulfilling their little wishes. Her warm nature and affectionate bond with them bring happiness to the family. The children naturally feel comfortable around her, and Sayali enjoys being surrounded by their innocence.

However, Roshni is far from happy.

She notices how easily the children connect with Sayali and becomes increasingly uncomfortable with the growing affection between them. Instead of accepting the bond, Roshni begins feeling jealous. She decides that the easiest way to deal with the situation is to turn Renuka against Sayali.

Roshni tries to manipulate Renuka and convinces her that Sayali should not continue staying in the house. She subtly presents Sayali’s growing closeness with the children as a problem, hoping Renuka will agree that Sayali’s presence needs to be restricted.

Meanwhile, Akash is busy with a prescription and opens the wardrobe while trying to scan it. He accidentally discovers something that immediately concerns him.

He learns that Riya has been considering sending Arya to a boarding school.

Akash is shocked by the revelation. He understands that such a major decision could have a significant impact on Arya, especially because the child has become emotionally attached to Pankhudi.

Elsewhere, Sachin discusses Renuka’s treatment with Vishal. He wants to prepare himself for every possibility in case Renuka’s medical reports reveal something serious. Sachin even considers staying with his mother throughout her treatment so that she does not have to face the difficult period alone.

Despite all the complicated emotions surrounding the family, Sachin’s concern makes one thing clear—when it comes to his parents’ well-being, he is still ready to put everything else aside.

Meanwhile, Paresh is enjoying himself while spending time with Sayali and the children. He is visibly happy watching them together.

But his happiness only makes Roshni more uncomfortable.

Roshni serves pakodas to the children, hoping to maintain control over the situation, but the peaceful atmosphere soon changes when her husband confronts her about filling out a form related to Arya’s boarding-school admission.

Riya immediately explains herself.

She says that she has only booked an assessment slot and has not made a final decision about sending Arya away. She explains that she is thinking about Arya’s future and is worried about what will happen when Pankhudi eventually leaves the house.

Riya knows how strongly Arya has become attached to Pankhudi. She fears that once Pankhudi is no longer around, Arya could struggle emotionally.

According to Riya, Arya does not simply need temporary affection. He needs stable and consistent care, and she believes that she must think seriously about what would be best for his future.

Sayali listens to Riya and then intervenes.

She requests Riya not to send Arya to boarding school. Sayali believes that separating a child from his family could negatively affect his emotional and mental well-being. Arya has already become attached to the people around him, and suddenly taking him away from them could make matters worse.

Riya, however, reminds Sayali that she is Arya’s mother.

She makes it clear that ultimately she has the right to make decisions about her son’s future.

The conversation becomes increasingly uncomfortable.

Roshni once again takes advantage of the situation and begins targeting Sayali. She questions Sayali’s place in the household and makes her feel as though her presence itself has become a burden.

Sayali tries to remain calm, but the constant attacks begin taking an emotional toll on her.

Renuka also refuses to stand by Sayali.

Instead, she brings up the painful past and blames Sayali and Sachin for leaving the family seven years ago. Her words reopen old wounds that Sayali has tried to move beyond.

Sayali is deeply hurt.

She had entered the house hoping to share moments with the family and reconnect with the people she still cares about. Instead, she is repeatedly reminded that she was once away from them and made to feel as though she has no legitimate place there.

The affection she receives from the children only makes the situation more complicated. They may accept her wholeheartedly, but the adults around them continue questioning her presence.

Sayali quietly begins wondering whether she has misunderstood her own place in the Deshmukh household.

Perhaps the house that still feels like family to her no longer considers her a part of it.

The thought breaks her heart.

She realizes that despite the memories, relationships and emotional connection she continues to share with the family, she may still be treated like an outsider. The realization leaves Sayali emotionally shaken as the episode comes to an end.

Review

The episode handles Sayali’s emotional conflict rather well because her pain comes less from one particular insult and more from the repeated feeling that she is being pushed away. Her bond with the children is particularly effective because it shows that affection cannot always be forced—it simply happens when someone makes a child feel safe and loved.

Roshni’s jealousy also moves the family conflict forward naturally. Rather than accepting Sayali’s presence, she sees the children’s affection as a threat and immediately looks for a way to turn Renuka against her. It is the kind of insecurity that quietly grows until it starts creating problems for everyone around it.

The Arya boarding-school track adds another meaningful layer. Riya is not making the decision casually; she genuinely fears what will happen to Arya if Pankhudi leaves. That makes the disagreement more complicated because both sides believe they are protecting the child. Nobody has a completely simple answer here, and that gives the track some emotional weight.

Sayali’s final realization is the strongest part of the episode. She has been trying to reconnect with the family, only to be reminded that belonging is not something one person can claim alone. And honestly, if a house keeps reminding you that you’re an outsider, even the warmest welcome from the children starts feeling like a very bittersweet comfort.

Rating: 4/5

“Sometimes the deepest loneliness is not being away from home, but standing inside it and wondering whether you still belong.”
