Seher Hone Ko Hai 24th August 2026 Written Update: Mahid Gets Angry as Insha Questions Seher’s Role in His Life
The episode begins with Seher thinking about Mahid and the way he keeps her belongings as if they are precious treasures. She finds it increasingly difficult to hate him despite everything that has happened between them. The thought makes her emotional, as she realises that her feelings for Mahid are becoming harder to ignore.
Just then, Mahid calls Seher and asks her to open the door.
Seher quickly controls her emotions and lets him in. Mahid notices that she looks upset and asks why she had closed the door. Seher lies that she was simply getting ready. She then tells him that she is going back to the hospital.
Mahid is surprised.
He asks her whether she had not taken the day off for their engagement. Seher explains that she has to return to work and admits that the engagement arrangements were simply an excuse for her to meet him.
Mahid, however, does not make an issue out of it.
He tells Seher that he needs to send their pictures to Sultana as proof of their engagement preparations. He helps Seher put on her earrings and then takes their photograph together.
Mahid sends the picture to Sultana.
Seher then leaves.
Meanwhile, Kaiz is searching for Mahid. When he finds him, he happily gives him some sweets that he has prepared for him. Mahid is pleasantly surprised by the gesture and becomes emotional seeing Kaiz’s affection.
Kaiz then notices the newly painted classroom.
He praises the painting and tells Mahid that he really likes the new design. Mahid recalls the moments he spent with Seher while working on the painting. Kaiz notices the flowers painted on the bench and asks who made them. He says he likes them a lot.
Mahid feels happy seeing Kaiz appreciate the work.
Kaiz then says that he would also like to learn painting.
Insha immediately warns him not to even think about it because he needs to rest. She then looks around the classroom and complains about the mess. She questions how someone could spoil the classroom like this and says that such a person clearly does not care about the students’ lives.
Mahid dislikes the way Insha speaks about Seher.
He tells her that Kaiz likes the design and that he is sure the other children will like it as well. Insha then reminds Kaiz that he had come to complain to Mahid but had completely forgotten about it.
Mahid asks Kaiz what happened.
Kaiz explains that the doctor scolded him.
Insha adds that Kaiz screamed when the doctor gave him an injection. Mahid becomes protective of Kaiz and tells him that he will teach the doctor a lesson. He even says that they can find another doctor for him.
Kaiz then innocently makes a suggestion.
He tells Mahid to take Seher’s treatment because she is a good doctor and he likes her a lot. Kaiz also says that his mother told him Seher is treating Mahid as well.
Mahid’s expression immediately changes.
He asks Insha who told her that Seher was treating him.
Insha tries to cover herself and says that she only said Seher is a good doctor. Mahid warns her not to interfere in his personal life. He firmly tells her that he will not allow her to turn Kaiz against Seher.
Insha remains confused.
She wonders that if Seher is not treating Mahid, then why did Seher mention Mahid’s medical report earlier?
Meanwhile, Farid and Sultana are discussing Amal. Amal overhears their conversation and feels disappointed after learning what they have been saying. Farid regrets lying to her.
Later, Seher sits down to write Mahid’s medical report.
At the same time, Husna begins another round of manipulation.
She deliberately pretends to fall and then blames Amal for what happened. Farid and Sultana arrive, and Husna quickly changes the subject. She tells them that she has brought a lehenga for Seher.
Husna then begins insulting Amal.
She says Amal does not even have enough money to buy a lehenga for her own sister. She makes a dramatic statement about having only one sister and complains that Amal is good for nothing because she cannot even gift Seher something for her engagement.
Farid immediately points out that Amal is Seher’s sister.
Husna pretends to apologise, but her real intention is obvious. She has deliberately humiliated Amal and made her feel useless.
Amal becomes upset and leaves.
Farid and Sultana understand what is really happening. They realise that Amal is worried about arranging money for Seher’s engagement.
Later, Seher apologises to Sultana after accidentally sending her the photographs.
Meanwhile, Mahid visits a jewellery shop.
The shop owner asks him why he gave the engagement-ring order to someone else. Mahid denies having done so and then realises that he has still not bought an engagement ring.
He apologises and asks the jeweller to bring out different ring collections so that he can choose one.
During the process, Mahid finds himself holding a particular ring.
It is Gazala’s ring—the ring his mother had kept as a gift for his future wife.
Mahid looks at it emotionally.
He thinks about Seher and the painful belief that she considers him responsible for her mother’s death. Because of this, he feels that Seher would never accept the ring his mother chose for his future wife.
The thought leaves Mahid conflicted as he continues preparing for an engagement that neither of them seems emotionally prepared to face.
The episode ends with Mahid holding the ring while the distance between what he feels for Seher and what he believes she feels for him continues to grow.

The emotional strength of this episode lies in how Seher and Mahid continue getting closer without either of them openly admitting what is happening. Seher may keep calling everything an engagement arrangement, but her thoughts about Mahid’s belongings tell a completely different story. Sometimes the heart leaks spoilers before the characters are ready to admit anything.
Mahid’s reaction to Insha is also important. He doesn’t merely defend Seher; he becomes protective when someone tries to influence Kaiz against her. His feelings are becoming increasingly obvious even to the audience, although Mahid himself is still carrying too much baggage to accept them freely.
Husna’s manipulation of Amal adds another layer to the engagement track. Her attempt to make Amal feel useless is clearly calculated, and the fact that Farid and Sultana recognise what is happening makes the situation more interesting. Amal’s struggle also gives the upcoming engagement an emotional dimension beyond just Seher and Mahid.
And then there is Gazala’s ring. That little detail carries a lot of emotional weight because Mahid wants to give Seher something connected to his mother, yet he believes Seher may never accept it. The man has an engagement to plan, unresolved grief to carry and feelings to hide—apparently one emotional complication wasn’t enough.
