Anupama 27th August 2026 Written Update: Anupama Impresses Judges With Her Bahubali Thali
The episode begins with the host asking the contestants to bring drumsticks for the grand finale. He explains the importance of drumsticks from the Kashaya group. Anupama decides to peel the drumsticks and check their bitterness, while Prem chooses to fry them. Rahi is impressed by Prem’s enthusiasm during the task. Meeta proudly says that she taught Prem several cooking techniques, which is why he is performing so well. The host then introduces soy sauce as another add-on ingredient.
Roy points out that Anupama and Prem have been given the same ingredients, yet both are preparing completely different dishes. He explains that even if they make the same dish, the final taste can still be different because of their individual preparation styles. Ustaad Ji agrees and says that preparation plays a major role in making every dish unique.
Manpreet then explains that the stomach is like the second brain because food can directly affect a person’s mood. Roy and Ustaad Ji agree with her observation.
Soon, Anupama and Prem are asked to wait for the next ingredients. The host announces that sugar and salt will be brought to their stations. However, the judges reveal that there is a twist. One container contains refined sugar while the other contains salt.
Anupama immediately becomes worried because she cannot properly taste anything due to her lost sense of taste. Kinjal realizes that they cannot help Anupama during the task. Digvijay also understands how difficult this challenge is going to be for her.
Prem manages to identify the salt and continues working on his dish. The host asks Anupama to speed up and reminds her that time is running out. Anupama refuses to give up. She thinks about her dream of winning the competition and building her dream house.
Anupama then comes up with a clever idea. She cuts her finger slightly with a knife and uses her skin to identify whether the ingredient is salt or sugar based on the burning sensation. Her team is impressed by her presence of mind. Kinjal calls it a huge sacrifice, while Digvijay salutes Anupama’s determination to win despite her difficulty.
Mahi questions why the judges gave salt and sugar at the very last moment. Khyati explains that adding salt or sugar at the end can be challenging because maintaining the correct balance becomes much harder.
The host reminds Anupama and Prem to complete their dishes before time runs out. Anupama prays to God and continues preparing her thali. Rahi and Anupama exchange encouraging gestures from their respective sides.
Finally, the host asks the judges to inspect both Bahubali thalis. Anupama and Prem are then asked to explain their dishes and the reasons behind using the ingredients provided during the round. Manpreet says they want to understand how the contestants have incorporated the ingredients into their food.
Ustaad Ji explains that the theme of the finale is Ayurveda, where balance is extremely important. Therefore, the judges want Anupama and Prem to explain how they have maintained the right balance of taste and medicinal benefits.
Prem is asked to explain his thali first. He gives all the credit to Vasundhara and says that he has prepared the food he has grown up eating. He dedicates his thali to Vasundhara.
However, when Ustaad Ji asks Prem to explain the medicinal benefits of the dishes, Prem struggles to answer. He honestly admits that he focused more on taste and did not pay enough attention to the medicinal properties.
The audience begins humiliating Prem, but Anupama immediately takes a stand for him. She reminds everyone that Prem successfully completed the difficult task and should not be mocked simply because he could not answer one question.
The host agrees with Anupama and praises her for supporting Prem. He says that Anupama has once again shown that she stands up for what is right, even in the middle of a competition. He adds that everyone learns with time.
Manpreet, Roy and Ustaad Ji appreciate Prem’s honesty. The judges then turn their attention to Anupama.
Ustaad Ji observes that Anupama’s platter contains dishes inspired by different parts of the country and asks her to explain it.
Anupama proudly says that her Bahubali thali is dedicated to India. She explains that she has brought different flavours from different states together on one platter.
She begins explaining the ingredients one by one, including the use of jaggery in her dishes. Paritosh wonders when Anupama learned so much about food and its benefits. Hasmuk explains that Anupama learned everything because she always wanted to feed her family good and healthy food.
Anupama continues explaining the benefits and purpose of the soy sauce and drumsticks she has incorporated into her thali. Her detailed explanation impresses the judges.
Leela tells Hasmuk that Anupama may not know how to say sorry, but she certainly possesses a lot of knowledge. Hasmuk agrees and says that this quality is what makes Anupama different from everyone else.
The episode ends on a tense note as the final judging round is about to begin.

The judges announce that Anupama and Prem will have to taste each other’s dishes and rate them. Paritosh believes that Anupama’s journey in the competition is over. Gautam then informs the host about Anupama’s loss of taste sensation.
Anupama decides that she will reveal the truth to the judges, but before she can explain herself, the host makes a shocking accusation and says that Anupama is cheating in today’s competition.

Today’s episode delivers a strong combination of competition drama and emotion. Anupama’s struggle with her lost sense of taste makes the finale considerably more challenging, but her quick thinking with the salt and sugar proves that she is not ready to surrender.
Her decision to defend Prem when the audience mocks him is another highlight. Instead of treating him purely as a rival, Anupama respects his effort and honesty, which brings out the emotional side of the competition.
The biggest tension, however, comes in the precap. Gautam’s attempt to expose Anupama’s taste-sense problem and the host’s accusation of cheating suggest that the finale is heading towards a major confrontation. It will be interesting to see whether Anupama gets a chance to explain herself or whether the accusation changes the entire outcome.
