Instead of portraying Sachin and Sayali’s decision simply as a secret they kept, the episode explains the circumstances behind it. Juhi’s fear of Arun’s behaviour and her desire to protect her daughter make the decision far more understandable.
Sachin’s emotional connection to Juhi is another strong point. He could not save Juhi, so protecting her daughter became his way of honouring her final wish.
The most heartbreaking moment comes when Pankhudi overhears everything.
She is not angry because of biology alone. She is hurt because she suddenly wonders whether the two people she trusts most have lied to her.
