The latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai intensifies the conflict between Myra, Kabir and their families. Myra Defends Her Relationship With Kabir
The episode begins with Kaveri questioning Myra about why she hid the fact that she had missed her exam from Abhira and Arman.

This episode keeps the Myra-Kabir conflict firmly at the centre, and Myra’s position becomes clearer than ever.
She knows her parents are trying to protect her future, but from her perspective, their protection has crossed into controlling her personal choice. Her statement that they are willing to break her heart while asking her to sacrifice her relationship shows exactly why she feels misunderstood.
The parallel between the two families also works well. Myra’s family wants her away from Kabir, while Kabir’s family is already trying to arrange his marriage with another girl. Neither young person is being given much space to make their own decision.
Myra’s concern for Abhira and Arman despite their disagreement with her is another important detail. She may be angry, but she has not stopped caring about them.
The episode also gives Arman a quieter emotional moment when he takes care of a feverish Abhira. His refusal to meet Myra, though, shows how deeply disappointed he remains.
