Arun’s refusal to accept the outcome keeps the custody track alive without undoing the court’s decision. His belief that Pankhuri will eventually come to him gives his character another reason to remain involved.
The more intriguing development, though, is Sayali’s hospital investigation.
The detail about her hearing her baby’s cries before being told that the child had died immediately creates a major question. Sayali is not simply looking for a name or an old record; she wants to reconstruct what happened on that particular day.
