Preeti’s Family Expects Two Big Announcements
The episode begins in Delhi, where Preeti’s mother is eager for her to return home from the office early.
She asks her husband whether everything will finally be settled today.
Preeti’s father pretends that he cannot hear her because he is busy exercising. He continues acting as though the conversation is completely beyond his notice.
Preeti’s mother immediately calls him out and jokes that their daughter clearly inherited her acting skills from him.
She then goes to Preeti and asks her to wear a Gen Z-style outfit.
Preeti refuses, reminding her mother that she is 33, not Gen Z.
Her mother then asks her to speak to Gaurav and get the wedding date confirmed that very day.
Preeti’s father adds to the excitement by saying that according to her horoscope, a new chapter of her life is about to begin.
He also wishes her luck for her promotion because he is confident that she will become the regional head.
Preeti’s mother asks him to bless her for her marriage as well.
Preeti leaves without eating the sweet curd prepared for her.
Her father notices that she has forgotten her purse and rushes after her to hand it over.
Anju and Manju stop Preeti on the way and tease her about when she is finally getting married.
Her father arrives with the purse and quietly reminds her that if the subject comes up during her meeting with Gaurav, she should ask him about finalising their marriage.
He wishes her luck before she leaves.
Preeti Expects a Promotion
On her way to work, Sandy calls Preeti and wishes her luck for the promotion.
Preeti tells her not to congratulate her until the promotion is officially confirmed.
Sandy asks whether she has messaged Gaurav.
Preeti says she has not yet done so and complains that her mood has already been spoiled because of Anju and Manju’s teasing early in the morning.
Sandy reveals that Anju is currently at her parlour.
Preeti simply tells her to let Anju stay there.
When Preeti reaches the company, the employees congratulate her, assuming that she will become the regional head.
Preeti again tells them to wait until the promotion is actually announced.
Her confidence quickly takes a hit during the meeting.
Rajat announces that Himanshu has been promoted instead of Preeti.
Preeti is visibly disappointed.
Her friends cannot understand how Rajat could overlook her when she does so much of the work.
Rajat asks Preeti to congratulate Himanshu and tells her to try again next time.
He touches her shoulder while saying this, but Preeti immediately brushes his hand away.
Her professional disappointment is the first sign that the day is not going according to the way she had imagined.
Aarav Returns to Delhi
Aarav arrives at Delhi International Airport.
At the same time, Preeti receives a message from Gaurav informing her that he has reached the airport.
She takes permission from Rajat and leaves the office to meet him.
Aarav meets Monty, who is thrilled to see him after so long.
Monty suggests that they celebrate together that night.
Aarav tells him that he has not returned simply for celebrations. He has something important to deal with.
Sandy calls Preeti again and asks whether Gaurav has replied.
Preeti confirms that she has received his message and is on her way to meet him.
Sandy asks her to send some selfies.
On the way, something amusing happens.
At a traffic signal, Preeti and Aarav happen to be on opposite sides of the road and unknowingly play with rain bubbles in the same way.
The signal turns green and they move on without recognising each other.
Their paths are about to cross again.
Aarav and Gaurav Clash
Gaurav gets into an argument with Monty after causing damage to his car.
He gets out and asks Monty why he did not notice the indicator.
Monty fires back, accusing Gaurav of coming from the wrong side.
Gaurav then uses his position to intimidate him and says that he is a government officer.
Monty is not impressed.
He tells Gaurav that his friend will teach him a lesson.
Aarav arrives and surprisingly pretends to take Gaurav’s side.
Monty looks at him and jokes about what happened to his famous Bahubali avatar.
Aarav then calls Gaurav “uncle” and walks away, telling him not to abuse him after he leaves.
Gaurav soon discovers that his tyres have been punctured by Aarav.
He shouts at him.
Monty witnesses the entire scene and realises that Aarav has not changed at all.
The two friends smile at each other.
Gaurav Ends His Relationship With Preeti
Preeti finally meets Gaurav.
She is genuinely excited to see him after such a long time.
She hugs him warmly and shows how happy she is to have him back.
Gaurav, though, behaves completely differently.
He appears busy and uninterested.
Preeti tries to bring some warmth into the meeting.
She tells him that they are meeting after a long time and gives him a shirt in his favourite colour along with his favourite perfume.
Gaurav rejects both gestures.
He tells her that his taste has changed.
Even the biryani Preeti ordered specially for him fails to interest him.
Preeti’s disappointment grows.
She tells him that she did not get the promotion.
Rather than supporting her, Gaurav remains detached.
He then starts criticising her appearance and regular style.
Gaurav tells Preeti that their relationship has become stale.
According to him, there is no excitement anymore because everything between them has become predictable.
He bluntly says that the spark in their relationship is gone.
Preeti reminds him that her mother believes they have been together for five years and that it is time for them to get married.
Gaurav gives her another painful answer.
He says that they are not compatible.
He tells Preeti that if she wants the relationship to work, she needs to think like him as well.
He then says that he has a meeting and simply leaves.

Monty warns him about rats being there.
Aarav goes to check his luggage.
Suddenly, he hears a rat-like sound and picks up a stick.
From behind him, Preeti suddenly says, “Rat!”
Aarav gets startled and trips.
Preeti catches him before he falls.
She asks him what he is doing there.
Aarav explains that he returned to surprise Sandy, but she is not at home.
Preeti says that she has also come to meet Sandy.
Aarav tells her that Sandy is not home and asks how her life is going.
Preeti initially hides the truth.
She tells Aarav that she got the promotion and that everything is going well with Gaurav.
She is about to leave when the electricity suddenly goes out.
Preeti tries to walk away in the darkness but falls.
Aarav tries to help her, but she immediately insists that she does not need anyone’s help.
Eventually, Preeti’s emotional wall breaks.
She admits that her day has actually been terrible.
She did not get the promotion.
Worse, Gaurav ended their five-year relationship within five minutes, saying that their relationship had become stale.
Preeti is hurt that Gaurav did not give any importance to everything they had shared.
Aarav Brings a Smile Back
Aarav tries to make Preeti feel better.
He tells her that magic does happen when there is trust.
He makes a sound with his fingers, and almost magically, the electricity comes back.
Preeti is not convinced that he actually caused it, but the timing makes her smile.
Aarav then tells her that society has not changed.
He shows her that his cycle has not changed either and asks her to join him for a ride.
Preeti agrees, but asks him not to tell Sandy that she has shared everything with him.
She says Sandy might wonder why Preeti told a stranger about her problems before telling her best friend.
Aarav points out that he is, in fact, a stranger.
Preeti disagrees.
She tells him that he is not really a stranger but still asks him not to tell his sister anything.
Aarav agrees on one condition.
He wants a biryani treat.
Preeti accepts.
Aarav leaves while making the same musical sound, reminding her not to forget their biryani date.
Preeti watches him go and finally smiles after an emotionally exhausting day.
The episode ends on that lighter note.
Precap: Aarav Is Back for Good
In the upcoming episode, Sandy is thrilled to see her brother back.
Aarav tells her that her “genius” has finally returned to India permanently.
At home, Preeti lies to her mother and says that Gaurav has agreed to finalise their wedding date.
Aarav also gives Preeti some important advice.
He tells her that she should not change herself just to fit someone else’s expectations.
Review
This episode gives Preeti a genuinely emotional roller-coaster. She begins the day believing she is about to receive a promotion and finally get a wedding date from Gaurav. By the middle of the episode, she has lost both.
Gaurav’s behaviour is particularly painful because Preeti has clearly invested five years in the relationship and even supported his career. His decision to dismiss their relationship as “stale” without showing much emotion makes the breakup feel even more brutal.
The interesting twist is Aarav’s return.
He enters Preeti’s disastrous day almost like an unexpected reset button. He does not judge her, does not lecture her and does not ask her to become someone else. Instead, his silly antics gradually make her smile again.
The little rain-bubble moment at the beginning and their unexpected meeting later also give the episode a nice sense of fate without forcing the romance too quickly.
And Aarav’s final advice is probably the most important line of the episode. After Gaurav tells Preeti that she needs to think like him, Aarav tells her not to change herself for someone else.
That contrast says plenty.
