Yaadein 1st October 2026 Written Update: Dev Cuts Illegal Electricity Wires as Villagers Challenge Him

The latest episode of Yaadein takes the electricity theft track forward as Dev decides to take matters into his own hands. After exposing the villagers for taking illegal electricity connections from the Kallari health centre, Dev gives them one hour to correct their mistake. What follows is a clash of determination, with the villagers refusing to back down.

Dev Gives the Villagers One Hour

The episode begins with Dev addressing the villagers and reminding them that he is the caretaker of the Kallari health centre.

Dev tells them that he knows they have been taking electricity illegally from the health centre. He gives everyone one hour to remove their illegal connections and install proper electricity meters in their homes.

After giving them the ultimatum, Dev leaves with his family.

The villagers are left wondering what Dev plans to do once the one-hour deadline is over.

Masaan Baba Turns the Villagers Against Dev

Masaan Baba immediately uses the situation to turn the villagers against Dev.

He reminds them that they had warmly welcomed Dev and his family into the village. According to him, Dev is now questioning their way of living and even their values.

Masaan Baba declares that he will perform a pooja for one hour. After that, he says he will find out whether the villagers are cowards or fighters.

He walks away, leaving the villagers curious about what will happen when Dev returns.

The villagers decide to wait and see what Dev does after the deadline.

Shristi Tries to Make Dev Think Differently

Dev later discusses the situation with Shristi and Jia. He complains about the villagers stealing electricity from the Kallari health centre.

Jia asks him what he plans to do once the hour is over.

Dev admits that he does not really know what he will do. He continues thinking about the situation, clearly frustrated by the villagers’ attitude.

Shristi asks him to look at the situation from the villagers’ point of view.

Dev, instead of immediately finding a solution, decides to make tea.

Shristi stops him and jokes that he will only end up making poison.

Dev argues with her, but Jia quickly intervenes and asks both of them not to fight. She decides to make the tea herself before leaving.

The lighter family moment offers a brief break from the growing tension outside.

Mallar and Srijha Fail to Convince the Villagers

Mallar and Srijha also try to reason with the villagers.

They ask them to stop taking electricity illegally from the Kallari health centre, but the villagers refuse to listen.

The argument soon becomes personal.

Malon Ji and Vandana accuse Mallar of siding with Dev only because he wants to impress Jia.

Srijha also questions Mallar about his intentions and asks why he is trying so hard to impress Jia. She even comments that Jia is not that beautiful, adding another awkward layer to the conversation.

Instead of focusing on the actual electricity problem, the villagers end up dragging Mallar’s personal equations into the matter.

Dev Comes Up With a Plan

Dhruv asks Jia why adults drink tea.

Jia gives him a funny explanation, saying that tea works like a battery for adults.

Back with Dev and Shristi, the seriousness of the situation returns.

Shristi asks Dev to promise that he will not involve the police, whatever happens.

Dev agrees.

He starts thinking about another way to deal with the illegal connections without bringing the police into the matter.

Suddenly, Dev gets an idea.

He picks up a stick and heads towards the Kallari health centre.

Shristi and Jia follow him.

Dev Pulls Out the Illegal Wires

Dev reaches the health centre carrying the stick.

The villagers are still using the illegal connections, and Dev decides to act.

He uses the stick to pull out the wires connected to the illegal electricity lines.

The villagers are shocked by his action.

Dev immediately makes it clear that he has not brought the stick to hit anyone.

He explains that he is using it to pull out the wires because he does not want to get an electric shock.

It is a practical solution, but the villagers are clearly not ready to surrender.

The Villagers Challenge Dev

The villagers start arguing with Dev.

They tell him that he will now see what they are capable of doing.

Dev refuses to be intimidated and challenges them to show him exactly what they can do.

The confrontation becomes increasingly heated.

The villagers push Johala Chap to take action.

Johala Chap runs away and returns with a ladder.

With the villagers’ help, he brings the ladder to the spot and attempts to reconnect the wires that Dev has just removed.

Shristi immediately realises that this could become an endless battle.

She tells Dev that there is no point repeatedly cutting the wires because the villagers will simply reconnect them again.

Dev gets ready to leave.

Malon Ji Stops Dev

Just as Dev is about to walk away, Malon Ji stops him.

She tells Dev that it is time for him to witness their celebration.

Her words make it clear that the villagers are not planning to surrender.

Dev may have removed their illegal connections, but the villagers are determined to challenge him and restore them.

The episode ends with the conflict still unresolved.

Precap

The upcoming episode takes the confrontation to another level as the villagers turn against Dev.

The electricity dispute is now becoming a direct battle between Dev and the entire village. With Masaan Baba already influencing the villagers, Dev’s next move could determine how far this conflict goes.

Yaadein Episode Review

Dev is certainly not backing down, and this time he finds a practical way to tackle the electricity theft without calling the police, just as Shristi asked.

The fun part is that Dev thinks removing the wires will solve the problem, while the villagers basically respond with, “Nice try, we have a ladder.” Their determination to reconnect everything makes it clear that this fight is nowhere near over.

Shristi continues to be the voice of caution, trying to prevent Dev from turning the situation into a bigger confrontation. Yet with Masaan Baba fuelling the villagers’ anger, even a simple electricity dispute is rapidly turning into a battle of egos.
