Shayad Yahi Hai Pyaar 12th October 2026 Written Update: Preeti and Aarav Get Jealous as Dating App Brings Them Closer

Preeti and Aarav Feel a Special Connection

The episode begins with Preeti trying to return Aarav’s umbrella. Aarav tells her to keep it, but Preeti insists on thanking him.

When Aarav asks whether she is thanking him only for the umbrella, Preeti makes it clear that her gratitude is for much more than that. She thanks him for everything he has done for her and for standing beside her when she needed someone.

Preeti then says goodbye and walks away.

But neither of them manages to leave without looking back.

As they move in opposite directions, both Preeti and Aarav turn around at the same time and look at each other. There is clearly something different between them now. Neither says anything, but the lingering looks suggest that their friendship may be slowly turning into something deeper.

Aarav sneezes and receives a notification on his phone. When he checks it, he is stunned to see Preeti’s profile on a dating app.

Sandy Secretly Creates Preeti’s Dating Profile

At the same time, Preeti is furious with Sandy for creating the dating profile without properly discussing it with her.

Sandy tries to convince her to give dating apps a chance. She points out that people nowadays often meet their partners online and tells Preeti that she can at least try the free trial period.

Preeti is not convinced.

She looks at the situation with hesitation before ending the call.

Aarav, meanwhile, is equally confused. He stares at Preeti’s profile and wonders whether he should accept it.

The timing becomes even more interesting when he receives a message from Preeti thanking him for everything.

Aarav reads the message while Preeti recalls how much support he gave her during the difficult situation with Gaurav. Their friendship has clearly become important to both of them, even if neither is ready to admit what they are beginning to feel.

Preeti Tries to Hide the Dating App

The next morning, Preeti asks Shanti whether she is feeling better.

Shanti assures her that she is fine.

Vaibhav arrives with some marriage profiles from Manuu and gives them to Shanti. Preeti immediately notices what is happening and asks her mother not to start looking for matches for her just yet.

Before the conversation can go any further, Preeti receives a notification from the dating app.

Vaibhav recognises the sound and is about to question her about it.

Preeti quickly changes the subject and cleverly manages to divert his attention.

She clearly does not want her family to know about the dating profile, especially when she herself is still unsure about what she wants.

Aarav Gets Jealous at Kaira’s Party

Kaira invites Aarav to her dog’s birthday party.

Aarav thinks about Preeti’s dating profile and feels that perhaps it would be better if she found love naturally rather than through a dating app.

When Preeti arrives, Aarav asks Kaira to feed him some yoghurt, and Kaira happily does so.

Preeti notices the interaction.

She becomes visibly uncomfortable and quickly asks Kaira to leave and finish her work.

Kaira then invites Preeti to the birthday party as well. Aarav and Monty confirm that they will attend.

The jealousy game is already quietly beginning, although neither Preeti nor Aarav is ready to admit it.

Preeti Arrives at the Dog’s Birthday Party

Later, Preeti arrives at Kaira’s dog’s birthday celebration carrying a gift. She hopes the dog will like it.

Kaira explains that the dog has gone into the play area to enjoy time with the other dogs. She tells Preeti that it is now time for the owners to have some fun themselves.

Preeti looks around and notices Aarav serving drinks to some of the other women.

She teases him and asks why he has been behaving strangely with her since morning.

Aarav does not give her a straightforward answer. Instead, he turns the conversation around and comments on Preeti’s own behaviour.

He says he has heard that she is good at making mocktails and asks her to prepare one.

Preeti accepts the challenge.

While preparing the mocktail, she removes her overcoat. Aarav looks at her and compliments her, saying that she looks beautiful with her hair open while wearing that dress.

Preeti responds by letting her hair down and continues preparing the mocktail.

The moment is subtle, but the attraction between them is becoming increasingly difficult to ignore.

The Dating App Creates More Jealousy

Aarav then tells everyone about Preeti’s talent for preparing mocktails and asks her to serve them to Kaira’s cousins.

One of the cousins, Sunny, takes the opportunity to tell Preeti that he has already sent her a message on the dating app. He adds that he likes mature women.

Preeti is surprised.

She then notices that Sandy has set her dating preferences to show men between the ages of 25 and 35.

The situation becomes even more interesting when Preeti spots Aarav’s own dating-app profile.

Suddenly, she has an idea.

If Aarav wants to play this game, she is perfectly capable of playing it too.

Preeti decides to teach him a lesson.

Preeti and Aarav Try to Make Each Other Jealous

What follows is essentially a quiet battle between Preeti and Aarav.

Both start trying to make the other jealous.

Aarav interacts with others, while Preeti makes sure he notices her interactions too. Neither wants to admit that the dating app is bothering them, but their behaviour says otherwise.

Eventually, Aarav cannot take it anymore and directly asks Preeti what she is doing.

Preeti tells him that she understands what is happening.

She knows that he saw her profile on the dating app and has been acting strangely ever since.

Aarav finally admits the truth.

He reminds Preeti that she had told him the previous night that she did not want to be in a relationship. So when he saw her profile on the dating app the next morning, it affected him.

For Aarav, the contradiction is difficult to ignore.

If Preeti genuinely wants to stay away from relationships, why is she already looking for someone through a dating app?

And more importantly, why does the thought of her finding someone else bother him so much?

Preeti now has an answer to the question she has probably been avoiding herself.

Aarav is not as indifferent as he pretends to be.

Gaurav Gets Advice About Preeti

While Aarav and Preeti’s relationship begins moving into complicated territory, Gaurav’s own situation takes an interesting turn.

One of Gaurav’s friends suggests that he should reconcile with Preeti.

He tells Gaurav that Preeti is actually the best match for him and questions why he is choosing to pursue Shanaya instead.

Gaurav is now caught between his past relationship with Preeti and his current connection with Shanaya.

The episode ends with this contrast: while Preeti and Aarav are slowly discovering that they may have feelings for each other, Gaurav is being reminded that he may have made a mistake by letting Preeti go.

Review

This episode is easily one of the more fun Aarav-Preeti episodes because the romance is no longer just hiding in the background. It is beginning to show through jealousy, awkwardness and those little moments where both characters clearly care far more than they want to admit.

The umbrella scene is simple but effective. Preeti thanking Aarav “for everything” carries much more weight than a normal thank-you, especially when both turn around to look at each other after saying goodbye. That is classic slow-burn territory.

The dating app track adds another layer of comedy. Preeti does not even want the profile, Aarav does not know what to do with it, and suddenly both are acting like detectives investigating each other’s online activity.

The dog’s birthday party is where the episode really has fun with their chemistry. Aarav complimenting Preeti when she lets her hair down clearly catches her attention, while Sunny openly expressing interest in her gives Aarav exactly the kind of jealousy he was trying to hide.

And Aarav finally admitting that seeing Preeti on the dating app affected him is the biggest development. He may still call himself her best friend, but his reaction is starting to say something very different.

Gaurav’s track feels almost deliberately ironic. Just when Preeti is beginning to move towards someone who genuinely supports her, Gaurav is being told that he should go back to the woman he betrayed.

The bigger question now is whether Preeti and Aarav will continue pretending this is just friendship or finally acknowledge that something more is happening between them.
