This episode does a good job of showing just how badly Soumya is losing control of her emotions.
Her attraction towards Jeet is no longer limited to subtle glances. She is imagining intimate moments with him, getting distracted by his appearance and even recognising that she feels safe around him. The dhoti sequence is a fairly obvious romantic device, but it effectively shows that Soumya’s feelings have moved beyond simple friendship or concern.
At the same time, Ridhan’s confession makes the situation considerably more complicated.
He is completely certain about Soumya, while Soumya is anything but certain about him. That imbalance is becoming increasingly painful to watch because Ridhan is building his future around someone who is still trying to understand her own heart.
Nita’s opposition adds another strong layer. Her refusal to accept Soumya is predictable, but Ridhan overhearing her conversation changes things because he now knows that his family is actively standing against his relationship.
