Anupama 16th October 2026 Written Update: Ansh Wins Pranshi’s Custody as Anupama Breaks Down Over the Builders

The Shah Family Begins Navratri Celebrations

The episode begins with the Shah family preparing to celebrate Navratri. Anupama speaks to Leela and Hasmuk about growing barley as part of the festivities. With the family getting ready for the auspicious occasion, she gathers everyone for the Ganesh puja.

Anupama and Leela discuss the significance of celebrating Navratri over nine days. For Anupama, the festival is not merely about rituals; it is also a time to pray for strength, happiness and the well-being of loved ones.

Anupama performs the aarti and prays for everyone. Digvijay, on the other hand, offers prayers for Ranvijay, while Paritosh asks for plenty of money. Their individual prayers reflect their different priorities as the family begins the festive celebrations.

The atmosphere takes a happier turn when Ansh brings Pranshi home. Anupama welcomes the little girl warmly, delighted to have her back with the family. Ansh has won the custody battle and can finally bring his daughter home, marking an important moment in his life.

For Ansh, this is more than a legal victory. He has been waiting for the opportunity to have Pranshi with him, and her return brings him immense happiness.

Ansh Wins Custody, but Prerna Is Unhappy

Ansh is excited about having Pranshi back and cannot hide his happiness. Anupama also feels grateful that the child has returned home safely. Yet not everyone welcomes the development with the same enthusiasm.

Prerna looks disturbed when she sees Pranshi. Her reaction hints at the discomfort she feels about the little girl’s return, creating an undercurrent of tension during what should be a joyful family moment.

Paritosh immediately raises concerns about the financial responsibility of raising Pranshi. He points out that the child’s expenses will be considerable, bringing money into the discussion even as the family celebrates Ansh’s victory.

Pakhi questions his concern. She asks why Paritosh is worrying about the expenses when Ansh is the one who will have to look after Pranshi.

The exchange reveals the different attitudes within the family. While Ansh is focused on being reunited with his daughter, others are already thinking about the practical responsibilities and possible complications her return may bring.

Hasmuk asks Ansh to let him spend some time playing with Pranshi. Ansh refuses to leave the child, wanting to remain close to her after everything he has gone through.

Hasmuk understands his feelings. He reassures Ansh that he knows how much Pranshi means to him and that nobody can separate the father and daughter. His words offer Ansh emotional comfort as he settles into his new reality with Pranshi at home.

Still, Prerna’s reaction suggests that the custody victory may not bring peace to everyone in the household.

Gautam Breaks Down After Losing Pranshi

Elsewhere, Gautam breaks down in front of Anupama after losing Pranshi’s custody. He is unable to accept the outcome and struggles to deal with the fact that he can no longer keep the child with him.

Vasundhara is equally frustrated. She questions how they could lose the custody case despite hiring a good lawyer and making efforts to secure the result they wanted. The defeat leaves her searching for an explanation.

Meeta, however, is not convinced by Gautam’s emotional display. She asks Anil why Gautam is overacting when he knows what kind of father he has been.

Anil explains that Gautam was staying at the house because of Pranshi. He also points out that Gautam has no real power in the office, suggesting that his current behaviour is an attempt to make himself appear important and sympathetic.

Gautam continues to blame Anupama for his loss. He turns to Vasundhara and questions how he could have lost Pranshi despite all her efforts. He insists that he is now alone and wonders what he will do without the child.

His breakdown contrasts sharply with Ansh’s happiness. While Ansh celebrates getting his daughter back, Gautam struggles to accept that the custody decision has gone against him.

Prem and Rahi suggest that Gautam should return home rather than continue dwelling on the situation. Pari and Raja also ask him to leave, telling him that he can call them during festivals.

Anil adds that they will not take Gautam’s calls, although he says that is fine. Their response makes it clear that Gautam’s position within the family has changed, and his emotional outburst is not enough to win their sympathy.

Vasundhara Refuses to Give Up on Pranshi

Despite the custody defeat, Gautam tells Vasundhara that he will leave if she asks him to. Vasundhara, however, tells him to stay back.

She then turns her attention to Rahi and warns her. Vasundhara has not accepted the outcome and continues to believe that the family can somehow regain control of the situation.

She declares that Anupama can play with Pranshi for three or four days because the child is her great-granddaughter. Vasundhara insists that she will bring Pranshi back at any cost.

Her words make it clear that she does not view the custody battle as the end of the matter. Although Ansh has won legally, Vasundhara remains determined to challenge the situation and refuses to let go of Pranshi.

Her attitude also threatens to disturb the peace Ansh and Pranshi have finally found. Ansh is enjoying his reunion with his daughter, but Vasundhara’s determination suggests that further conflict could be waiting around the corner.

Anupama Prays for Justice for the Builders’ Victims

Amid the family developments, Anupama turns her thoughts to the customers who have been betrayed by the builders. She prays for justice for those who have suffered and hopes that their struggle will finally lead to a fair outcome.

Her concern for the affected customers shows that she remains committed to fighting for people who have been wronged. She knows how difficult it can be for ordinary people to stand up against powerful builders, particularly when they are afraid of the consequences.

Unfortunately, Anupama receives more discouraging news. She learns that another customer has decided not to fight back against the Mathela builders.

The development breaks her spirit. Anupama has been trying to bring people together so they can stand up for their rights, but every time someone withdraws, the burden on her grows heavier.

She wonders why nobody supports her and why she always seems to be left fighting alone. Overwhelmed by helplessness, Anupama breaks down and cries.

Her pain is not simply about losing another supporter. She is watching people who have been betrayed abandon their own fight because they feel unable or unwilling to continue. Anupama wants to help them, but she cannot force them to stand beside her.

The situation leaves her questioning how she can continue fighting such a powerful opponent when even the people she is trying to help are stepping away.

Goddess Durga Gives Anupama New Hope

As Anupama struggles with her emotions, a girl appears before her in the form of Goddess Durga. The moment comes as Anupama is at her lowest, overwhelmed by the feeling that she has been left alone in her fight for justice.

The appearance offers a spiritual turning point in the episode, arriving during Navratri, a festival closely associated with Goddess Durga’s strength and the victory of good over evil.

Soon after, a woman from the crowd assures Anupama that she will support her. The woman’s words bring a ray of hope after the discouraging news that another customer has withdrawn from the fight.

For Anupama, the support comes at a crucial moment. She has been questioning whether anyone is willing to stand with her against the Mathela builders, and now someone finally steps forward.

The episode ends with Anupama still facing a difficult battle, but no longer entirely without hope. The new support could help her regain the courage to continue fighting for the customers who have been wronged.

Precap

Mohanlal Mathela meets Anupama and orders her to sit, saying that he wants to discuss something with her. Anupama becomes furious at the way he orders her around, setting the stage for a tense confrontation.

Review

Ansh winning Pranshi’s custody provides the episode’s happiest moment, especially after the uncertainty surrounding the child. His refusal to leave Pranshi even when Hasmuk wants to play with her is a touching reflection of how much he has missed her. Yet Prerna’s discomfort and Vasundhara’s determination to bring Pranshi back suggest that the custody victory may not end the family conflict.

Gautam’s breakdown does little to improve his position, particularly when the family members openly question his intentions. Vasundhara’s refusal to accept defeat also shows that she is not ready to move on.

The more powerful emotional thread belongs to Anupama’s fight against the Mathela builders. Watching another customer withdraw pushes her to the edge, and her breakdown captures the exhaustion of fighting for people who eventually lose the courage to stand up for themselves. The appearance of Goddess Durga and the woman’s promise of support provide a timely spark of hope.

The precap promises a direct clash between Anupama and Mohanlal Mathela. Anupama has already been pushed to her limits, and she is unlikely to appreciate being ordered around by the very man whose actions she is challenging.
