Bigg Boss 20 16th October 2026 Written Update: Arishfa Loses a Life and Destroys House Property After the Ration Task

Day 40 Begins With Teasing and Kitchen Drama

The episode begins with Day 40 in the Bigg Boss house. The contestants start the day by teasing one another, flirting, and getting involved in their usual arguments.

Manish tells Mary that he will knock out Mahhi, setting a playful yet competitive tone. At the same time, Yung and Scout share a fun moment, showing that their bond remains comfortable despite the tension building elsewhere in the house.

Kanika tells Gullu that he misses her when she is in the kitchen. Gullu responds by flirting with her, adding a playful angle to their interactions. Love joins Kanika while she cooks, and the two create a humorous mother-son and daughter-in-law scenario. Their kitchen banter provides some light entertainment before the housemates turn their attention to more serious disagreements.

Mahhi, meanwhile, tells Kanika that she does not find her ongoing fight with Yung particularly interesting. She believes a clash between Kanika and Nakul would have been far more entertaining, making her opinion about the house dynamics clear.

Qazi then manages to annoy Manish. Manish appears upset at first, but later reveals that he was only pretending to be angry. Aasif asks Qazi not to trouble everyone, trying to prevent the teasing from turning into another unnecessary argument.

Love asks Qazi to sing a song for her and offers to sweep the floor on his behalf. Scout immediately objects, telling Love not to do someone else’s work. His comment brings the conversation back to household duties, an issue that soon becomes a major source of conflict.

Amrapali points out to Scout that the kitchen slab has not been cleaned. Arishfa is asleep when the clock rings, prompting Scout to correct her and remind her that cleaning the slab is her responsibility.

The disagreement continues while the others are eating. Love and Arishfa argue, and Manish tells Arishfa that her fight has no proper basis. He asks her to let everyone eat peacefully.

Love argues that Mahhi started the mess by asking everyone to clean their cups while others were still eating. Arishfa then questions why Manish is speaking so loudly. Manish insists that he is simply correcting her.

The exchange highlights the housemates’ growing frustration over cleanliness and shared responsibilities. What begins as an argument about the kitchen quickly becomes personal, setting the stage for a much bigger confrontation.

Bigg Boss Announces the Ration Task

The atmosphere changes when Bigg Boss introduces the ration task. Before the task begins, Manish enters Room 20 for the first time and sees his picture displayed there. Qazi sings a song, adding a brief musical moment to the proceedings.

Bigg Boss then gives the contestants a difficult decision. They must mutually decide whose life they want to take away. The housemates have only 20 minutes to reach an agreement, and the longer they take, the more ration they will lose.

The task puts the contestants in a difficult position because their decision will affect one housemate directly while also determining how much food the entire house receives. They must weigh their personal differences against the consequences for everyone.

As the discussion begins, Arishfa becomes the main target. Most of the housemates vote against her, arguing that she picks fights without a valid reason. Gullu and Kanika become particularly determined to take away her life.

Manish also votes against Arishfa, although his explanation is more nuanced. He says that her issues and concerns may be valid, but her approach to handling them is always wrong. According to him, the way she expresses her frustration creates unnecessary conflict, even when she may have a point.

Arishfa defends herself, reminding the housemates that the decision concerns her life. She does not want them to treat the matter casually or make a judgement without considering her perspective.

The discussion continues until Scout announces the result. Arishfa receives seven votes, and she loses one life.

Bigg Boss then delivers another blow by announcing that the housemates will receive only 55% of their ration. The decision affects everyone, not just Arishfa, leaving the house to deal with reduced supplies because the contestants fail to reach an agreement in time.

Arishfa Feels Betrayed by the Housemates

Arishfa is deeply offended by the result. She feels that the entire house has turned against her and declares that she will now show everyone what she can do. Rather than confronting the situation immediately, she decides to wait for the right moment.

Kanika asks Aman why he and the others did not defend Arishfa during the task. Aman explains that if everyone had spoken at once, the discussion would have become chaotic and no decision would have been reached.

Kanika disagrees with his reasoning. She points out that the task itself required the housemates to express their opinions and defend their choices. In her view, those who supported Arishfa should have spoken up rather than allowing the majority to dictate the outcome.

Arishfa continues feeling betrayed. She insists that everyone has a problem with her and vows to show the housemates what happens when they push her too far.

Her frustration soon turns into destructive behaviour.

Arishfa Destroys Bigg Boss Property

Unable to contain her anger, Arishfa begins destroying Bigg Boss property. She explains that the housemates took away one of her lives because she fought over cleanliness, so she will now create a mess for everyone to deal with.

Her reaction shocks the other contestants. Instead of limiting her anger to the people who voted against her, Arishfa decides to disrupt the house as a whole.

Uditi tells Yung and Mary that Arishfa has become rebellious. The incident quickly becomes a new topic of discussion, with the housemates trying to understand why she has chosen to react so aggressively.

Gullu asks Manish not to clean up the mess Arishfa has created. He believes that the housemates should allow her to face the consequences of her own actions instead of immediately putting everything back in order.

Manish, though, says that he will clean it once. He wants to see whether Arishfa repeats the behaviour before deciding how to respond. His approach differs from Gullu’s, as he does not want the situation to become another prolonged battle.

Scout, Uditi, and Aman confront Arishfa and ask why she is targeting the entire house when only six housemates voted against her. They argue that she should distinguish between those who directly opposed her and those who did not.

Arishfa refuses to accept their reasoning. She argues that everyone agreed with the decision, so everyone should suffer the consequences.

Yung, Amrapali, and Kanika point out that seven people disagreed with the decision, yet they still failed to fight strongly enough for Arishfa. Their comments highlight the complicated loyalties within the house: even those who may not have wanted her to lose a life did not necessarily stand up for her when it mattered.

The discussion escalates into a verbal argument between Aman and Yung, creating another divide among the contestants.

Uditi and Arishfa Clash Over Loyalty

Aman and Uditi try to speak to Arishfa and make her understand the consequences of her behaviour. Arishfa, however, asks them to leave her alone.

Uditi refuses to support Arishfa’s actions simply because they are friends. She tells her that she cannot fight for something she believes is wrong.

Arishfa takes this personally and confronts Uditi, asking why she did not take a stand for her during the ration task. She wants to know why Uditi remained on the sidelines when Arishfa was facing the votes of the housemates.

Uditi defends herself, making it clear that supporting a friend does not mean agreeing with every decision she makes. Their disagreement exposes the difference between loyalty and unquestioning support.

The conflict becomes more complicated because Arishfa is not only upset about losing a life. She also feels abandoned by people she expected to defend her. The task has therefore become a test of relationships as much as a contest involving ration.

Amid the turmoil, Kanika, Mahhi, Arishfa, and Uditi win the promotional task, offering a brief change of pace from the ongoing arguments.

Scout and Yung Discuss Kanika and Gullu

Elsewhere, Scout talks to Yung about Gullu’s growing attraction to Kanika. Scout believes that Gullu is strongly drawn to her and suggests that Kanika might eventually develop feelings for him as well.

Yung takes a more cautious view. He says the audience may enjoy their flirting for a while, but the novelty could wear off. Their conversation shows that the housemates are closely observing the developing equation between Kanika and Gullu.

Amrapali also approaches Gullu and directly asks whether he likes Kanika. Her question brings the subject into the open, although Gullu’s feelings remain a matter of discussion among the contestants.

At the same time, Arishfa begins planning how to trouble the six contenders who voted against her. She decides not to fight with them directly but to irritate them by hiding their favourite belongings.

She hides Gullu’s bottle and cup, using the small act as a way to retaliate against the housemates she believes have wronged her. Her decision suggests that she intends to continue the conflict through smaller acts of disruption rather than immediately starting another direct confrontation.

The Milk Packet Argument Escalates

Arishfa later learns that Yung has taken her milk packet. Yung decides to return it, but Arishfa turns the incident into another argument.

The disagreement soon draws in Amrapali, who confronts Arishfa over the issue involving Yung. Instead of calming down, Arishfa throws the pillows, escalating the situation further.

The other housemates react strongly, with some saying that Arishfa has gone mad. Her repeated outbursts are now affecting the entire house, making it difficult for anyone to resolve a disagreement without it becoming a much bigger fight.

Uditi tries once again to make Arishfa understand that her behaviour is worsening the situation. Arishfa, though, becomes even more irritated by the advice.

Scout also loses patience when he sees Arishfa throwing the pillows. He decides to punish her, adding another confrontation to an already tense day.

Love takes Arishfa’s side, creating another point of disagreement among the housemates. Kanika and Gullu discuss why Love continues supporting Arishfa despite her destructive behaviour.

The episode ends with the house divided over Arishfa’s reaction to the task. Some contestants believe she has been treated unfairly, while others feel that her response has crossed the line. The reduced ration adds to the pressure, leaving the housemates to face the consequences of their inability to reach a decision peacefully.

Precap

Salman Khan addresses the housemates and makes it clear that there is no tolerance for violence. He discusses Qazi spitting in Scout’s ear and the fight involving Nakul.

Salman then confronts Aasif for charging at Love. Love breaks down in tears and explains that everyone was blaming her, but she is proud that she went to check on Nakul’s well-being.

The upcoming episode promises a serious discussion about the contestants’ behaviour, with Salman set to address the incidents that have crossed the line.

Review

The ration task becomes the episode’s biggest turning point because it forces the housemates to make a collective decision while putting Arishfa directly in the spotlight. Manish’s explanation captures the central problem with her approach: her concerns may have some validity, but the way she handles disagreements often makes it difficult for others to support her.

Arishfa’s anger after losing a life is understandable, especially when she feels abandoned by people she expected to defend her. Destroying property and making everyone suffer, though, weakens her argument. Instead of proving that the housemates treated her unfairly, she gives them another reason to question her behaviour.

Kanika’s criticism of Aman also raises an interesting point. A task based on collective decision-making requires people to speak up, and staying quiet can have consequences. Still, defending a friend does not mean supporting destructive actions, which is where Uditi draws the line.

The growing attention around Kanika and Gullu adds a lighter thread to the episode, but the real focus remains the house’s increasingly hostile atmosphere. With Salman addressing alleged violence in the precap, the next episode could shift the focus from petty arguments to more serious accountability.
