Yaadein 15th October 2026 Written Update: Villagers Choose Jewellery Over Sanitary Pads as Dev and Shristi Face Defeat

Dev and Shristi Prepare to Distribute Sanitary Pads

The episode begins with Masaan Baba and Johala Chap questioning Dev about the object hidden beneath a cloth. Curious to know what he has kept covered, they ask him what is underneath it. Dev challenges them to uncover it themselves rather than explaining anything.

Masaan Baba and Johala Chap remove the cloth and discover sanitary pads. Masaan Baba immediately questions Dev about what he intends to do with them. Dev makes it clear that the decision about their use is none of Masaan Baba’s concern. He tells him that they will decide what to do with the sanitary pads themselves, leaving Masaan Baba without the explanation he wants.

The two men eventually leave, but Dev and Shristi have a clear purpose in mind. Shristi tells Dev that they need to distribute sanitary pads to every woman in the village. Dev agrees to support her initiative and offers to push the four-wheeled cart while she hands out the pads.

Uditanshu steps forward and tells Dev not to worry, offering to push the cart himself. His offer does not go down well with Jia and Gehna, who stop him and send Dev and Shristi away together.

Gehna then scolds Uditanshu for trying to become a third wheel between Shristi and Dev. Her remark makes her displeasure clear, and she eventually leaves. With the interruption out of the way, Dev and Shristi continue with their plan to help the women of the village.

They begin distributing sanitary pads to the women one by one. Their effort is aimed at improving women’s health and making sanitary products accessible to them. What should be a straightforward initiative soon becomes a source of conflict, though, as Masaan Baba sees their actions as a challenge to the village’s traditional mindset.

Masaan Baba Turns the Villagers Against Dev and Shristi

While Dev and Shristi continue distributing the sanitary pads, Masaan Baba gathers the men of the village. He informs them about the couple’s initiative and presents it as an attack on their manliness.

Rather than acknowledging the health benefits of sanitary pads, Masaan Baba turns the issue into a question of male pride. His words encourage the men to see Dev and Shristi’s efforts as a threat instead of an attempt to help the women.

Mallar arrives and challenges Masaan Baba’s argument. He questions what is wrong with Dev and Shristi trying to improve women’s health. His response brings the real issue into focus: the initiative is intended to benefit women, yet the villagers are being encouraged to oppose it because of their pride and rigid beliefs.

Malon Ji intervenes and asks Mallar to stop arguing. He criticises Mallar for speaking against the villagers and refuses to support his position.

Mallar reminds Malon Ji that Dev will leave the village soon. His point suggests that Dev’s departure should not become an excuse to oppose what he is trying to do now. Malon Ji, though, warns Mallar that if he goes against the villagers, he will end up all alone.

The warning does not make Mallar reconsider his stand. He firmly declares that he will never regret standing up for what is right, even if he has to stand alone. Mallar is prepared to face isolation rather than support something he believes is wrong.

Malon Ji reacts by slapping Mallar. The confrontation shows how far he is willing to go to silence disagreement. Mallar refuses to back down and leaves after the slap, standing by his decision despite the humiliation.

Malon Ji Plans to Make the Women Return the Pads

After Mallar leaves, the villagers discuss how they can turn the situation against Dev and Shristi. Instead of allowing the women to make their own decisions about their health, the men begin plotting to undo the distribution drive.

Malon Ji reveals that he has a plan. He intends to make the women return the sanitary pads themselves, allowing the villagers to undermine Dev and Shristi’s efforts without directly taking the products away from them.

He shares his plan with the gathered villagers, who are prepared to follow his lead. The strategy shifts the conflict from an argument about men’s pride to a direct attempt to prevent the women from benefiting from the sanitary pads.

Dev and Shristi are trying to make a practical difference in the village, but Malon Ji and the others are determined to stop them. Their plan also exposes how the women risk being caught between their own needs and the pressure placed on them by their husbands.

Mallar Tricks Jia Into Revealing Her Phone Number

Away from the village’s growing conflict, Mallar approaches Jia and offers her a custard apple. Their conversation soon turns playful when Jia reminds him that she thought he was a James Bond who would have found her phone number by now.

Jia points out that Mallar still has not managed to obtain her number. Mallar responds that there is still time, suggesting that he has not given up on his mission.

He then comes up with a trick. Mallar pretends to feel sick and asks Jia to call his father. Concerned by his condition, Jia takes out her phone and makes the call. She then goes to get some water for him, leaving her phone within Mallar’s reach.

Mallar uses the opportunity to call his own number from Jia’s phone. The call allows him to obtain the number he has been trying to find without having to ask Jia directly.

When Jia returns, Mallar tells her that he has finally managed to get her phone number. Jia quickly realises what he has done and accuses him of cheating her. Mallar responds with a comment before leaving, seemingly pleased that his plan has worked.

Their interaction offers a lighter moment amid the growing hostility in the village. Mallar’s clever trick gets him the result he wanted, although Jia is clearly not impressed by the way he obtained her number.

Villagers Use Jewellery to Force Their Wives to Return the Pads

Malon Ji’s plan soon comes into action. He and the villagers stop Dev and Shristi and tell them that their efforts are pointless because the women are going to return the sanitary pads.

The confrontation puts Dev and Shristi in an uncomfortable position. They have spent time distributing the products to the women, hoping to improve their access to menstrual hygiene essentials. Now, the villagers are determined to reverse their work.

The men call their wives and tell them that they have brought jewellery for them. They then threaten to sell the jewellery if the women refuse to return the sanitary pads to Dev.

The tactic places the women under direct pressure. Instead of being allowed to decide freely whether they want to keep the sanitary pads, they are forced to choose between the products and the jewellery their husbands have offered them.

Ultimately, the women choose the jewellery and return the sanitary pads to Dev. Their decision brings Malon Ji’s plan to fruition, leaving Dev and Shristi’s efforts undermined.

The scene exposes the power of the pressure being exerted on the women. The sanitary pads are meant to serve an important health purpose, but the villagers turn the situation into a contest of control and material temptation. By offering jewellery and threatening to take it away, the men manage to influence the women’s decision.

For Dev and Shristi, the outcome is a major setback. Their initiative is not rejected because the sanitary pads have no value, but because the villagers have created circumstances in which the women are pressured to return them.

Johala Chap then asks Masaan Baba to give the order so that he can burn the sanitary pads. His request suggests that the men are prepared to destroy the products rather than allow the women to use them.

The episode ends on this troubling note, with Dev and Shristi’s attempt to help the women facing defeat at the hands of the villagers. Mallar’s decision to stand up for what is right also remains significant, as he has chosen principle over the approval of the people around him.

Precap: Shristi Leaves the Village

In the precap, Shristi leaves the village with Jia and Dhruv. Her departure raises questions about what has led to this decision and whether she will return to continue her efforts.

Review: A Health Initiative Becomes a Battle for Control

This episode tackles a serious issue through the conflict surrounding Dev and Shristi’s sanitary pad distribution drive. Instead of discussing the importance of women’s health, Masaan Baba turns the initiative into an attack on male pride, while Malon Ji takes the manipulation further by using jewellery to pressure the women into returning the pads.

Mallar’s stand is one of the episode’s strongest moments. He refuses to abandon what he believes is right, even when Malon Ji slaps him and warns him that he will be left alone. His courage provides a necessary counterpoint to the villagers’ behaviour.

The outcome is frustrating by design: the women return the pads under pressure, and Johala Chap is ready to burn them. The show makes its point clearly about how social pressure and control can undermine efforts meant to improve women’s lives. Mallar’s playful exchange with Jia provides a lighter contrast, but the central conflict remains troubling.

With Shristi leaving the village in the precap, the next episode could bring a fresh turn in the story. The bigger question is whether Dev and Shristi’s initiative will end here or whether someone will challenge the villagers’ resistance more effectively.
