Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 16th October 2026 Written Update: Myra Misses Kabir on His Birthday as Abhira Questions Her Return

Myra Plans a Birthday Surprise for Kabir

The episode begins with Myra thinking about surprising Kabir by giving him the entry form for the World’s Photography Competition. She had hoped to make his birthday special, but everything has changed in a single night. As she reflects on how quickly their circumstances have shifted, Myra finds herself missing Kabir more than ever.

Kabir, too, waits for Myra’s call and message. He hopes she will remember his birthday, but his phone remains silent. He ignores Vasu’s call as his thoughts stay fixed on Myra and the absence of any communication from her.

Kabir wonders why Myra has not contacted him. Her silence hurts him, particularly because he had imagined celebrating his birthday with her. He wishes he could have spent at least one birthday with Myra, making the day feel complete.

At the same time, Samar suggests that the family should wish Kabir on his birthday. Bhairvi refuses to do so, while Raghav also ignores him. Their behaviour makes Kabir’s disappointment even more noticeable, as he finds himself waiting for someone who seems increasingly distant.

Samar, though, wants to make the occasion special and tells Nandani that they should plan a surprise for Kabir. While the family considers ways to celebrate, Kabir continues thinking about the surprise Myra had been planning for him. He realises that the birthday he imagined sharing with her may never happen.

Myra is equally restless. She thinks about the sudden turn of events and decides that she will lie to her parents one more time if that is what it takes to do something for Kabir. Despite returning home, her feelings for him remain unresolved.

The Damanis Plan a Grand Birthday Gift

Elsewhere, the Poddars begin looking for Kaveri and Myra. Manisha explains that Kaveri went to the Saxena house, leaving the family wondering where Myra might be.

Krish then shares news about Kabir’s birthday. The Damanis have gifted him a chopper, a gesture that surprises the Poddars and sparks a discussion about the family’s wealth and lifestyle.

Manoj comments that the Damanis show off too much, while Vidya dismisses them as people who lack class. Manisha, however, wonders why they have chosen to give Kabir such an extravagant gift.

The chopper becomes a point of discussion among the Damanis as well. Bhairvi questions Samar about the decision to gift it to Kabir. Samar insists that it is simply a birthday present, but Bhairvi remains unhappy with the idea.

Nandani suggests that learning to fly the chopper could help Kabir move on from Myra and focus on something new. Bhairvi does not share her confidence and continues opposing Samar’s decision. Raghav is also against Kabir, making it clear that Kabir’s place within the family remains complicated.

The gift may be intended to bring happiness to Kabir, but the discussion reveals that his family members are still divided over him and his relationship with Myra.

Both Families Suspect Myra Has Gone to Meet Kabir

The Poddars’ concern grows when Kaveri reveals that she went to meet the Saxenas alone, without Myra. This leaves the family wondering where Myra has gone and whether she might have used the opportunity to meet Kabir on his birthday.

Their suspicions grow stronger as they consider Myra’s unresolved feelings. Although she has returned home, her attachment to Kabir remains a concern for those who fear she may leave again.

At the same time, the Damanis discover that Kabir is not at the office. Bhairvi questions Samar and Nandani about why they continue to trust him. She suspects that Kabir may have gone to meet Myra, especially given his emotional state on his birthday.

Kabir, meanwhile, remains determined to meet someone. He declares that nobody can stop him from meeting her that day and waits for someone to arrive.

His words deepen the suspicion surrounding his plans. With Myra missing from home and Kabir absent from the office, both families begin to imagine that the two have secretly reunited.

Sanjay even suggests that Myra may have gone on a chopper ride with Kabir. The possibility adds to the Poddars’ anxiety, as they fear that Myra might once again be making decisions without telling them.

Abhira Worries as the Poddars Question Myra

Back at the Poddar house, the family continues discussing Myra’s whereabouts. Abhira becomes dizzy while worrying about her daughter, reflecting the stress of not knowing whether Myra has gone to meet Kabir.

Vidya concludes that Myra has run away. Arman questions how Vidya can be so certain, unwilling to accept the accusation without knowing the facts.

Vidya challenges him in return, asking whether he can really trust Myra completely. Her question brings the family’s deeper concerns to the surface. Myra has returned home, but the uncertainty surrounding her feelings for Kabir has not disappeared.

The Poddars are caught between wanting to trust Myra and fearing that she may once again hide the truth from them. Abhira, in particular, struggles with the possibility that her daughter might be making another impulsive decision.

Just as the family’s anxiety reaches its peak, Myra returns home.

She reveals that she took the entrance exam, surprising the Poddars. Her explanation changes the situation, as the family realises that she was not necessarily doing what they feared.

Her return brings immediate relief, but it does not completely resolve the doubts surrounding her relationship with Kabir. The family may be happy to see her back, yet they still need to understand what she truly wants.

Kabir Returns Home With Barkha

While the Poddars react to Myra’s return, Raghav becomes consumed by anger over the possibility that Kabir has gone to meet her. He decides to teach Kabir a lesson by burning the chopper.

Samar intervenes and asks Raghav to control his anger. He reminds Raghav to value the fact that his child is at least with him, encouraging him to look at the situation from a different perspective rather than allowing resentment to take over.

The tension takes an unexpected turn when Kabir arrives home with Barkha, surprising the Damanis.

Bhairvi immediately questions why Kabir did not inform them beforehand. Kabir explains that he did not want to give them false hope, so he went to bring Barkha himself.

He then reveals that he celebrated his birthday with Barkha and his family. His explanation suggests that he has not spent the day secretly meeting Myra, as everyone suspected.

Nandani asks Raghav to believe that Kabir has moved on from Myra and returned to the family. Kabir’s arrival with Barkha gives them a reason to reconsider their assumptions, although it remains unclear whether his emotional attachment to Myra has truly disappeared.

The birthday celebrations have taken an unexpected direction. While Kabir had been waiting for Myra’s call and wishing he could spend his birthday with her, he ultimately returns with Barkha, leaving his family to believe that he is ready to move forward.

The Poddars Welcome Myra Back

At the Poddar house, Arman asks the family to believe that Myra has returned for them. He wants them to stop assuming that she intends to run away again and give her a chance to settle back into family life.

Kaveri asks Abhira whether she still doubts Myra. The question highlights the difficulty of rebuilding trust after Myra’s earlier decisions. Her return should bring relief, but the family remains unsure whether she has truly moved on from Kabir.

Manisha and Manoj try to make Myra feel comfortable by feeding her ice cream. Their gesture brings a warm family moment and shows their happiness at having her back home.

Yet Myra’s thoughts remain elsewhere. Even while surrounded by her family, she misses Kabir.

Her emotions reveal the central conflict of the episode. Myra has returned to the Poddars and taken her entrance exam, but her heart has not necessarily followed the same path. Kabir remains an important part of her thoughts, and the birthday she had hoped to make special for him continues to affect her.

The episode ends with both Myra and Kabir surrounded by their families, yet emotionally connected to each other. Their attempts to move forward have not erased their feelings, leaving the possibility of another confrontation hanging over them.

Precap

Myra takes Kabir’s name, prompting Abhira to confront her. Abhira asks why Myra was so excited when she left with Kabir and what made her return home. She questions why Myra is still taking Kabir’s name in front of the family. Myra is left shocked by Abhira’s confrontation.

Review

The birthday storyline highlights how difficult it is for Myra and Kabir to move on when neither has fully dealt with their feelings. Kabir waits for Myra’s call, while Myra thinks about the surprise she had planned for him. Their silence does not suggest emotional closure; it only makes their separation more painful.

The chopper gift adds another layer of family tension, particularly with Bhairvi and Raghav struggling to accept Kabir’s choices. Raghav’s decision to burn the gift shows how quickly his resentment can turn destructive, while Samar tries to bring him back to reality.

Myra’s return after taking the entrance exam gives the Poddars some relief, but Abhira’s doubts are far from settled. Manisha and Manoj try to welcome Myra warmly, yet her thoughts about Kabir suggest that the family cannot assume everything is resolved simply because she has come home.

The precap promises a direct confrontation between mother and daughter. Abhira wants clarity, and Myra will have to face questions about her feelings rather than continue leaving the family guessing.
