Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai 23rd October 2026 Written Update: Myra Hides Her Love for Kabir as Tanya’s Wedding Creates Tension
Myra Decides to Hide Her Feelings for Kabir
The episode begins with Myra pouring her heart out about Kabir. She admits that Kabir is irritating, but her own heart is even more troublesome. She reflects that if Kabir were standing in front of her when she confessed her love, he would probably respond with a simple “thank you” instead of saying that he loves her too.
Myra decides to endure the pain of separation for Armaan and Abhira’s sake. She believes that keeping her feelings hidden is the only way to protect her family from further complications. Despite how much she loves Kabir, she resolves to hide her emotions and act as though nothing has happened.
Kabir, on the other hand, regrets not stopping Myra when they were in Mumbai. He breaks down as he realises that they cannot openly acknowledge their love anymore. Both of them must pretend that they have no feelings for each other, even though their hearts say otherwise.
Myra accepts that they must learn to live apart and conceal their emotions. Kabir also tries to gather himself, believing that Myra is making an effort to stay strong. He decides that he cannot cry or spread negativity around her and resolves to return.
Myra senses Kabir’s presence but fails to find him. She assumes that he will never return to her, unaware of the emotions he is struggling to control.
Their separation becomes even more painful because neither has stopped loving the other. They are choosing distance not because their feelings have faded, but because they believe it is necessary for their family.
Armaan and Abhira Realise Their Mistake
The next morning, Armaan and Abhira wake up and discuss Myra. They begin to realise that they failed to listen to her calmly and understand what she was going through.
Abhira regrets creating circumstances that made Myra feel compelled to run away. Armaan reminds her that parenting is never easy and that parents are often questioned regardless of the choices they make.
Abhira acknowledges that they took Myra for granted. She explains that Myra did not return simply because she had a fight with Kabir or because Armaan and Abhira were perfect parents. She came back because she is a good daughter who understands her family’s pain.
Abhira recognises Myra’s maturity and realises that they must now take a step towards correcting their mistakes. Armaan agrees, and the two decide to make things right for Myra rather than continue expecting her to adjust to their decisions.
Their realisation marks an important change in their approach. Instead of focusing only on their concerns, they begin to consider the sacrifices Myra has made for them.
Myra Shares Her College News With Armaan and Abhira
Later, Myra tells Armaan and Abhira that she has cleared the entrance examination. Although she is happy about her achievement, she reveals that the college is not among the top ten institutions.
Abhira encourages her and confidently says that the college will become a top college because Myra is going to study there. Her words offer Myra reassurance and show that she wants her daughter to feel proud of her accomplishment.
Armaan and Abhira decide to organise a surprise for Myra to celebrate her success. Armaan asks her to share the news with Mukti.
Myra immediately thinks about telling Kabir. She wants to share her happiness with him, but reality strikes when she remembers that she can no longer approach him as freely as before.
Her inability to share such an important moment with the person she loves makes the separation even harder. While Armaan and Abhira try to repair their relationship with Myra, she continues to sacrifice her own happiness to protect them.
Kabir Plans Tanya and Samar’s Wedding
Elsewhere, Kabir gets involved in the preparations for Tanya and Samar’s wedding. He tells Tanya that he has had 200 invitation cards printed for the occasion.
Tanya is surprised and says that she needs only ten cards. Kabir encourages her to invite everyone, hoping that she will celebrate the wedding surrounded by people who care about her.
Nandani also asks Tanya to invite her cousins and friends. Tanya becomes emotional as she explains that her world once revolved around Anshuman and later around the Poddars. She does not have a large circle of friends to invite.
Her response reveals how much her life has changed and how limited her social world has become.
Kabir tells Nandani that they cannot be unfair to Tanya by refusing to invite the Poddars simply because of the complications involving him and Myra. He does not want Tanya’s wedding to suffer because of their personal circumstances.
Nandani, though, points out that the Poddars cannot attend the wedding.
The disagreement leaves Tanya upset. What should be a happy occasion becomes a reminder of the relationships and family connections that have become complicated.
Tanya Gets Emotional Over the Wedding Preparations
Tanya struggles with her feelings as the wedding preparations continue. The thought of her wedding brings back memories of the people who once formed the centre of her life.
Her emotions intensify when she overhears Samar asking Neena to send Barkha to the wedding. The conversation adds to Tanya’s emotional turmoil as she continues to process the changes in her life.
At the same time, Myra searches for her chain and pendant. She becomes worried that she may have left them with Kabir.
The missing jewellery gives Myra another reason to think about Kabir, even as she tries to distance herself from him. Her heart remains connected to him, making her decision to hide her feelings increasingly difficult.
The episode ends with Myra struggling to move forward without Kabir and Tanya facing emotional complications ahead of her wedding.
Precap
Tanya asks Armaan and Abhira to attend her wedding and bless her. She becomes emotional and explains that she wants her family to be by her side on such an important day.
Abhira says that the situation is complicated, while Armaan asks Tanya to reconsider her decision. Tanya refuses to change her mind.
Armaan then declares that they will not attend her wedding either, leaving Tanya shocked.
Review
Myra and Kabir’s separation remains the emotional heart of the episode. Myra’s sarcastic reflection about Kabir replying “thank you” to her confession adds a bittersweet touch, but beneath the humour lies the pain of loving someone she believes she must avoid. Their decision to hide their feelings keeps the romance alive while making their situation more heartbreaking.
Armaan and Abhira’s realisation is another meaningful development. Abhira finally acknowledges that Myra has been making sacrifices for the family, and their decision to celebrate her college achievement offers a hopeful moment. Still, Myra’s inability to share her happiness with Kabir shows that the problem is far from resolved.
Tanya’s wedding preparations bring a different emotional conflict. Kabir wants her to have a proper celebration, but the question of whether the Poddars will attend threatens to overshadow her happiness. The precap promises another confrontation, with Armaan’s refusal likely to hurt Tanya deeply.
