Sachin and Sayali’s romantic getaway takes an unexpected turn when a road closure leaves them stranded overnight. Their search for a place to stay leads them to Sanskar Lodge, where an unusual owner imposes some rather ridiculous rules on the married couple.
Sayali Tries to Make Sachin Enjoy the Present
The episode begins with Sayali encouraging Sachin to stop worrying about things that have not happened yet. She reminds him that their morning may not have gone as planned, but they are together now and should enjoy the moment.
Pointing towards the beautiful road, cool breeze and romantic music playing in the car, Sayali tries to create a happy mood. Sachin, though, cannot stop thinking about their responsibilities, particularly the children’s school fees.
Sayali explains that responsibilities will always remain, but they should not allow worries to take away their happiness. She imagines how excited the children will be when they return home and how the family can celebrate Diwali together. Sachin joins in with his usual humour and talks about displaying the Deshmukh family’s grandeur during the festival.
Their pleasant journey soon hits an unexpected roadblock.
Road Construction Leaves Sachin and Sayali Stranded
Sachin and Sayali discover that construction work has blocked the road. The workers inform them that the route will reopen only at six the following morning.
Sachin requests permission to pass because they urgently need to reach Mumbai, but the workers refuse to make an exception. Left with no choice, Sachin calls Riya and explains their situation. He asks her to look after the children, and she reassures him that they have already gone to sleep.
Sayali suggests taking another route. Sachin explains that one alternative road is in terrible condition, while the other passes through a forest and is unsafe at night. They decide that staying somewhere overnight is the safest option.
Sachin continues worrying about the pending school fees and depositing the cheque at the bank. Sayali assures him that they can leave at six and reach in time before the bank opens. She also playfully asks whether he has considered spending an entire night alone with his wife.
Sachin immediately suspects that Sayali has deliberately planned the situation to get some private time with him. His suspicion makes Sayali laugh, adding a sweet romantic moment to their journey.
Sanskar Lodge Gives the Couple an Unexpected Welcome
The couple eventually reaches Sanskar Lodge. Sayali wonders whether the place will be expensive, while Sachin jokes about its luxurious appearance. They tease each other about the lodge’s name and wonder whether its standards will live up to its respectable identity.
Once inside, they notice a notice stating that unmarried couples are not allowed. Before they can settle in, an angry man confronts them and introduces himself as the lodge owner. He even questions why they were hiding underneath a table.
The owner makes it clear that romantic couples are not welcome. Sayali explains that Sachin is her husband, but the man sarcastically questions their marriage. He remarks that anyone can pretend to be married by wearing five-rupee sindoor and a fifty-rupee mangalsutra.
Sachin loses his patience over the insulting comments and argues with the owner. The man then asks where their children are. Sachin explains that the children are at home and that they are travelling to Mumbai.
Once Sachin and Sayali explain that the road closure has left them with no other option, the owner finally agrees to give them a room. Introducing himself as Bada Tauji, he tells them to consider the lodge their home, but only if they follow his rules.
Bada Tauji’s Strange Rules Annoy Sachin
Bada Tauji takes Sachin and Sayali to their room and hands them two separate keys. The room has a curtain dividing the sleeping arrangements, leaving Sachin completely baffled.
He questions why he and his own wife should sleep separately. Bada Tauji insists that discipline must be maintained and warns them not to shake the bed.
Sachin becomes even more irritated when the owner draws an imaginary boundary and instructs them not to move the bed beyond that line. His strict instructions make the arrangement look more like a punishment than a comfortable overnight stay.
After Bada Tauji leaves, Sachin and Sayali find the entire setup ridiculous. Sayali jokes about whether the lodge might be haunted and brings up Manjulika. Their playful conversation is interrupted by someone repeatedly knocking on the door.
Sachin gets annoyed and asks the visitor to stop disturbing them while they are trying to rest. Their peaceful night at the lodge seems unlikely to begin anytime soon.
Trouble Continues Back Home
At home, another concern emerges as someone complains that the ration bills, medical bills and other household expenses have already been paid, yet Sachin is not answering the phone.
His absence and lack of communication create further worry for the family. Sachin and Sayali are already dealing with an unusual situation at the lodge, while their responsibilities back home continue to demand attention.
The episode ends with the couple still stranded at Sanskar Lodge.
