Diwali celebrations bring back special memories for Maya, but her reaction to Jagadhatri’s questions raises fresh suspicions. Jagadhatri notices that Maya becomes uncomfortable when asked about her father and wonders what she is hiding about her past.

Mahesh reminds Maya that Diwali was Mahendra Dada’s favourite festival. Maya smiles and agrees, recalling how special Diwali always was for her father. Their conversation catches Jagadhatri’s attention, bringing back Musa’s earlier words and making her curious about Maya’s past.

Jagadhatri Questions Maya About Her Father

Jagadhatri approaches Maya and asks what her father was like. She also wants to know about Maya’s last memories with him. Instead of answering, Maya falls silent.

Her sudden silence makes Jagadhatri suspicious. She wonders what could be so difficult about those memories that Maya cannot even talk about them. Jagadhatri senses that there is something deeper behind Maya’s reaction and decides to observe her more closely.

Maya then changes the subject and says she will go downstairs to look after the Diwali preparations. Mahesh agrees and lets her leave.
