Halla Bol Season 2 on Bindass with Karan Tacker

The story is about Rati, a young college student and her fight for acceptance and respect. Rati faced many hardships in her life but that doesn’t deter her to pursue studies with vigor and passion. She is a very good student and always gets top grades. Rati’s mother worked as a sex worker and they live in a red light area. She got encouragement to pursue higher studies by her mother and gets admitted in D.N. College of Arts and Commerce. Rati’s goal is to secure a good living for her short family. She joins the college and also wins a scholarship. Things were going on fine but sooner students realize about her background and they start to harass her by spraying Graffiti on college walls and writing different names to her – Sex worker, Item no. She gets affected after seeing such harassment. She also gets harassed by a boy who tries to force on her and reminds her of knowing in which room she stays in the red light area. Rati faces harassment in her locality by a drunk man as well.

With Rati’s background coming to the fore, her friends also leaves her since they feel shameful to be in her company. She was dejected but a final blow came when she learnt about being suspended from the college and the principal informed her about it. She goes home and contemplates on what happened to her and how things have changed so drastic and also of people thinking about her – friends, students to even college principal. She thinks there is no need for her to feel shameful and instead need to fight for her acceptance and respect. She has to win this war and will not accept defeat in any circumstances. Rati has said Halla Bol and won. How Rati ‘s background came out in open at the college ? How did she took initial harassment and bullying in her stride ? What made the college authorities and her friends to leave her – just feeling shame and no acceptance attitude ?
